Chapter 505: Just Inconvenient to Move

Chapter 505: Chapter 505: Just Inconvenient to Move

Yan’s nimble tongue skimmed over her lips, flicking away the thin line of blood. His gaze locked onto hers, burning with both an intense passion and a touch of humor, and a palpable sense of anticipation.

Zhu Qianying paused momentarily. Was this man, after all, a masochist?

Regardless, whether he was a masochist was unimportant. The deep welts that Zhu Qianying had left on Yan in the heat of her anger had acted like kindling to his desire, stoking his fiery passion.

She had bitten him out of fury, and in return, he’d given her a night of hard-fought passion, repaying her for all of the pain he’d suffered with ten times the intense pleasure.

...

The next morning, their ultra-cute ’baby boy’ was banging on the door in excitement.

"Daddy! Daddy! Wake up, let’s go exercise!"

The little tyke had woken up early to find his father’s shoes by the shoe cabinet, and had quickly run back to his father’s room, but there was no sign of him inside!

Puzzled, he scratched his head. It then occurred to him that he probably locked the door the other night, forcing his father to share a bed with mommy instead.

The innocent impressionable little Yan was now knocking furiously on his mother’s door.

Yan had kept Zhu Qianying up all night, and surprising himself, felt quite worn down. After having been ’busy’ for so long, he was physically drained. After seeing to Zhu Qianying’s ’needs’ and making sure she was content, he’d held her close and they’d both fallen into a deep slumber on the bed.

Awakened by his son’s persistent knocking, Yan quickly climbed out of bed, leaving the still-sleeping Zhu Qianying behind. He opened the door, wearing nothing but his underwear.

The father and son duo had occasionally slept in just their underwear together so he was not worried. Also, he was short on time and did not want to disturb Zhu Qianying’s sleep.

Immediately, after opening the door, Yan knelt down to greet his son, hugging him and giving him a kiss.

"Baby, daddy worked out all night long. I’m not going today," he managed to say. Stricken awake, Zhu Qianying would surely hurl a pillow his way.

The boy wore a puzzled look on his face, staring at Yan with bright, questioning eyes.

"Did you go to the gym with mommy last night?"

The boy who usually appeared quite sophisticated and knowledgeable, was in fact, rather naive.

Yan held back his chuckle, full of amusement, and nodded.

"Yes, so I won’t be going today, okay?"

The boy gave him a scrutinizing look then begrudgingly nodded his head. "Alright..."

Then, with a slight whine, he said, "Next time you guys go work out, take me too!"

At this, Yan couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

The boy scrunched his brow in confusion, looking at him curiously, "Daddy, why are you laughing?"

Yan tried to suppress his laughter, pinching his son’s cheeks. He’d thought the boy understood more than he actually did when in reality, he was still clueless.

"No, the club I go to is only for adults. It’s unfit for kids like you."

The boy rolled his eyes and scoffed arrogantly, "Well, in that case, I won’t go..."

He then tiptoed to catch a glimpse inside the room, "Where is mommy? Is she still asleep?"

Yan smoothed over the boy’s hair and shooshed him, "Don’t make so much noise. Mommy has been working a lot. We should let her sleep in."

The boy covered his mouth hastily, blinking a few times before removing his hand, "Should we call Uncle Cheng and tell him she won’t be coming to work today?"

Prior to this, it was the baby boy who would usually call Zhu’s place of work to say she was sick.

Now that there was a man in the house, the task was no longer his responsibility.

"No need, daddy will take care of it!"

In a bid to quickly get the chatty youngster out of the way and avoid disturbing Zhu Qianying’s sleep, Yan’s gaze fell upon his own bare chest and vaguely noticed his son’s pointed stare.

"Huh? Daddy, were you bitten by a bug?"

Yan quickly looked down, and sure enough, the boy’s chubby finger was pointing to the few welts on his body.

"But it doesn’t look like bug bites. They look more like...human bites to me." The boy tilted his head, looking thoughtful like a pint-sized Sherlock Holmes.

Yan cleared his throat, putting on a stern expression to scare his son.

"Baby, don’t touch! It’s indeed a bug bite, a poisonous bug to be exact. It bit me when I was in that club last night. Better take your hand away, otherwise it will spread to you!"

The child’s face paled in fear and he immediately pulled his hand back. His countenance was a mix of fear, anxiety, and insecurity.

"Then why didn’t you go to the doctor, Daddy?"

Yan was quick to reassure him, "I will. I’ll go there as soon as I get to work."

The boy seemed half-skeptical but finally left, looking back three times every step he took, allowing Yan to finally breathe a sigh of relief. As he closed the door, he could keenly relate to the feeling of a guilty thief getting away.

He put on his robe and took his phone to call from the balcony. He dialed Cheng Ye’s number.

"Mr. Cheng, Zhu Qianying isn’t feeling well, and won’t be coming to work today."

Cheng Ye seemed slightly confused, "Not coming into work? I told her yesterday to take a day off. Did she not mention it?"

"Ah, she must’ve forgotten as she wasn’t feeling well. That clears things up, I’ll leave you be. Goodbye!" Yan replied.

"Wait, is Zhu Qianying severely ill? Should I come to see her?" Cheng Ye’s tone was laced with worry.

"There’s no need for that. It’s just a minor issue that’s leaving her bedridden. Thanks for your concern!"

Yan wasn’t concerned about what conclusions Cheng Ye would draw. If Cheng Ye misread the situation, even better. After all, the fact that Zhu Qianying was confined to bed after a night of intense ’exercise’ was true!

After indirectly boasting about his blissful night, Yan returned to the room with a cheerful disposition and leaned over to plant several kisses on the sleeping Zhu Qianying’s face and lips.

...

Yan lingered at Zhu Qianying’s place for quite a while before he left for Yanhuang. By the time he reached his office, it was already close to 10 a.m., and Qin Xiu was in the hall, meeting with a group of important clients.

"Well, Sir, you’re rather early!" Qin Xiu said, a teasing smile on his face.

In a cheerful mood, Yan simply dismissed his remark, greeting the clients before heading to his office to attend to his own work.

Having dealt with the clients, Qin Xiu came in and gossiped, "Sir, apparently Yi Wang Real Estate filed for dissolution first thing this morning. What are your thoughts?"

Without looking up, Yan responded, "It doesn’t concern me."

From the beginning, he’d never taken Yi Wang Real Estate seriously.

It wasn’t from arrogance. It was just that Yi Wang Real Estate, a company hastily put together for some ulterior motive, would most likely not pose much competition.

Basically, they couldn’t even be considered as rivals.
