Chapter 205: Chapter 205: Still, We Must Meet Again

Regardless of whether it’s because of the punk, or because of the safety of her baby boy, it all comes down to her personal affairs. Her irresponsible act of taking half a month leave at the busiest time for Ying Jewelry was very irresponsible. It caused great inconvenience for Cheng Ye and Ying Jewelry.

She understood this very well, and she felt very guilty about it.

But, her longing for her son had driven her to madness. Even though she knew full well that what she was doing was unfair to Cheng Ye, she persisted.

Initially, she planned to quit her job. However, after Cheng Ye decided to step back, she felt embarrassed to bring it up again.

As it stands, the notion of her quitting her job is neither practical nor realistic.

Moreover, Cheng Ye had said, when she handed in her holiday application, that there was no need for her to quit her job, if she wished to return to the country to live.

Just as it was five years ago, her living in the country did not necessarily constitute a barrier to her work, and the same is true now.

Therefore, during these days, she had constantly been considering the possibility of working in the country.

However, until she made her final decision, she did not want other factors to interfere with the state of affairs. Yan, one of the most likely candidates for disruption, remained to be a concern.

Therefore, if possible, she did not wish to have any contact or conflict with Yan or the Yan family during this time.

The little boy, upon being reminded repeatedly, promptly nodded in understanding.

"Oh, Baby understands..."

Zhu Qianying caressed her son’s slightly chubby face, feeling somewhat relieved.

"Baby, do your grandparents treat you well?"

In truth, Zhu Qianying didn’t need to ask. She could imagine the level of indulgence the little boy received from the Yan family, given that he was their only child.

"Mmm... they’re okay. But, I miss you and granny more..."

The little boy replied, nuzzling his face against Zhu Qianying’s.

The boy’s affectionate behavior left Zhu Qianying very moved.

"Good boy, Mommy has been very busy with work lately. Once I’m done with this period, I’ll spend time with you."

Her promise made the baby boy very happy. After that, he was in high spirits while climbing the mountain. Despite being the youngest among the group, he constantly stayed at the front of the line.

In truth, there was something Zhu Qianying couldn’t understand. Weren’t Yan and Yi Wei passionately in love? Why hadn’t they gotten married yet?

Why was Yan still looking for her?

The first thing she thought about, as she fell into a state of panic, was her son’s safety.

However, after sending her son back, a series of problems arose.

Now, she wasn’t entirely certain whether sending her son back was the right or wrong decision.

All she knew was that she couldn’t turn back the clock, and she must plan for the future based on present circumstances.

She can’t go on meeting her son in this sneaky way.

Even if the boy could keep it a secret, the people on Yan’s side would certainly notice her actions sooner or later.

Most importantly, she is the boy’s biological mother. Why should meeting her son feel like stealing?

It seems she needs to think about meeting Yan face-to-face.

And if it is relatively safe here, she’ll consider settling down in the country. She must bring her son back to her side.

As for the Yan family’s thoughts and desires, that’s a matter to be discussed later. Right now, she can’t think too far ahead.

The thought of seeing Yan again affected Zhu Qianying’s mood somehow. She thought she’d never see him again, yet here she is, about to meet him?!

However, the joy brought about by her precious son far outweighs the effect Yan has on her.

The children participating in the activity were initially full of energy and excitement. However, once they climbed about a third of the way, most of them began to groan and complain.

Only a small group of children, including Baby, Beibei, and Guoguo, were the exception.

The three little brats, being lively and always participating in similar outdoor activities, were both physically and mentally better off than the other children.

When the person in charge at the front announced a short break, the other kids collapsed on the steps. But Baby, Beibei and Guoguo, in high spirits, started making crowns and bracelets out of vines.

"Coach Ying Zi, this is for you!"

Baby was very nimble-handed and quickly made a crown and wristband. He happily ran towards Zhu Qianying to present his craft.

Zhu Qianying squatted down cheerfully, allowed the boy to put the crown on her, and then stretched out her left hand to have the wristband put on.

"Thank you, Baby. Your handiwork is beautiful!"

Zhu Qianying, upon receiving the gifts, gave her son a big kiss on the cheek!

Baby laughed and then went back to making more crowns from the vines. He made one for himself, put it on, and then ran back to Zhu Qianying to take a picture with her. Zhu Qianying, of course, couldn’t say no to her baby boy, and let the life assistant take several shots of them.

By noon, the children were about a quarter away from the top of the mountain.

The person in charge announced that each group should rest in a nearby pavilion. Zhu Qianying’s group, always leading the way, found a pavilion with a great view.

The children took out the dry food their parents had prepared for them. Zhu Qianying looked at her son’s food, which was exactly the same as Beibei and Guoguo’s. Clearly, they had prepared them together the night before.

After eating their so-called lunch and resting for about half an hour, the group continued their climb.

By 5pm in the afternoon, all the children had safely arrived at the bottom of the mountain and boarded the bus. The children were all fast asleep on the bus due to exhaustion.

Even the energetic Baby, Beibei, and Guoguo were no exception. On their way back to the hotel, Baby, fell asleep on Zhu Qianying, snoring like a baby pig.

However, the recovery of a child’s energy is amazingly fast. Even Zhu Qianying, who was used to high-intensity exercise, felt the urge to collapse on the bed and sleep when she finally returned to her guest room after dinner. Yet the three little brats, who had rested for half an hour in the car, were now again running around the room with boundless energy.

Upon entering the guest room, the three little ones greeted Zhu Qianying with cheerful shouts of ’Mommy’ and ’Auntie’. Zhu Qianying clapped her hands to get the attention of the three little ones who were engrossed in their play.

She sent Little Princess Guoguo off to take a bath, and instructed the two little gentlemen to first clean out their backpacks and replenish them with items needed for tomorrow.

After Guoguo quickly finished her bath, it was Baby and Beibei’s turn to go wash up. Guoguo, the little princess, sat cross-legged on the bed wearing a lovely fairy robe, looking like a real little fairy.

"Wow, Guoguo looks so pretty."
