Chapter 60: seduction is a double edged sword

"Now that I have you all to myself, there is something that I want to show you." Valerion said as he led Eamon away from the royal house.

"I will admit I am curious. Give me a hint." Eamon coaxed as his chocolate brown eyes met Valerion’s.

"It’s a surprise." Valerion blinked, tearing his gaze from Eamon.

There was no way he could refuse to satisfy his curiosity when Eamon looked at him like that.

Like he could be very unhappy if he didn’t get answers to his questions.

The temptation was too great and Valerion didn’t think himself strong enough to resist.

"The suspense is killing me." Eamon pouted as he looked up at his mate who was hellbent on avoiding his gaze.

"Sorry love, but I have grown immune." Valerion lied, keeping his eyes straight ahead as they branched off the main road and took the small route that led back to their house.

"Have you?" Eamon’s voice was a mischievous chuckle as he stopped walking and came to stand before the dragon.

"Eamon, what are you..." Valerion was rendered speechless as Eamon swiftly pinned him to a tree, there bodies colliding.

"Tell me." Eamon purred seductively as his lips found Valerion’s neck, placing light feathery kisses along his skin.

"It’s a house. I’m taking you to see a house." Valerion gasped as he decided to take control and within a second, their positions were switched and Eamon’s eyes were dazed as he flushed Valerion a victorious smile.

"I love that you always know how to get what you want." Valerion’s eyes shine with admiration as he caressed Eamon’s flushed cheek.

"I was an army general and I know a lot about getting what I want. With you, the only weapon I could ever weild is seduction since you can’t seem to resist me." Eamon smirked and Valerion’s eyes swirled with desire as he leaned in, their lips nearly touching.

"Careful love, seduction is a double edged sword and you might be seduced as well." Valerion reminded him as his teeth nibbled Eamon’s ear lobe.

Eamon inhaled sharply as he felt his body heat up.

"I don’t mind being seduced as long as it’s with you." He confessed and Valerion’s lips landed on his in a heated kiss that left them breathless a minute later.

"We should get going." Valerion breathed as his forehead rested gently against Eamon’s, their breaths entwining.

"Alright." Eamon agreed and together, they continued their journey along the path as Eamon’s mind tried to imagine what the house Valerion was going to show him looked like. He hoped it was a tree house. The ones he had seen looked like something out of a fairytale with their artistic designs and natural ambience.

Eamon was not disappointed because half a mile away from their house was a tree house that was unlike any he had seen.

It was breathtakingly beautiful and Eamon found himself staring as he took in the delicate architecture.

"Do you like it?" Valerion asked with a knowing smile as he glanced at his mate.

"No...I love it." Eamon uttered as he turned his gaze from the house and looked at Valerion.

"I had promised to build you one so, I am glad you love it." Valerion smiled and the air was nearly knocked from his lungs when Eamon pounced onto him, hugging him with an intensity that made him chuckle.

"I must have done something right in my past life to have such a loving mate. Thank you." Eamon sniffled as his eyes brimmed with unshed tears and Valerion let him bury his head in his chest as his arms closed around him in a warm and tender embrace.

"Your welcome." Valerion smiled as his heart swelled with contentment. He was finally happy and he hoped he could stay that way forever.

"I love you." Valerion whispered as he placed a kiss on top of Eamon’s head, quite certain there was nothing he couldn’t do for his mate.

"I love you more." Eamon smiled as he looked up at him, the tears in his eyes gone.

"I am sure that’s up for debate." Valerion grinned as he placed a kiss on Eamon’s cheek.

Blood rose to Eamon’s cheeks as he gazed lovingly into Valerion’s eyes.

"Come, let me show you the interior." Valerion offered and Eamon readily followed him into the house.

They spent the rest of the afternoon chatting and enjoying each other’s company and by dusk, they were getting ready to head out for the mating ceremony.

"Black looks good on you." Eamon’s eyes held a hunger that made Valerion smirk as his mate’s eyes roamed his body from head to toe.

Valerion was wearing a black kilt and his biceps were adorned with two golden bracelets. The matching gold necklace he wore was relatively large and covered his collarbones, leaving his toned torso on display.

Eamon swallowed as he realized that he shamelessly wanted to run his tongue over those abs.

"If you keep looking at me like that, we might have to send our regrets to the couple since we will be staying here." Valerion’s playful voice drew him from his thoughts and Eamon averted his gaze, his cheeks turning red.

"It’s your fault for always looking so alluring." Eamon noted as he finalized wearing his jewelry and he was pleased with the faint blush that covered the dragon’s cheeks.

Valerion walked up to him, helping him readjust the arm bracelet on his left hand.

"If you keep saying things like that, then we will be late." Valerion warned, his eyes flirtatious as his hand reached for Eamon’s bare waist, tagging him closer.
