Chapter 224: Chapter 100 Complete Collapse
Su Lei’s Iron Fist, Shattering the Sky.
"Boom!"
Gao Xin met it with a punch, and the tremendous force of their collision swept through the air.
Su Lei was sent flying backward, his arm instantly shattered, splattering blood and flesh everywhere.
Considering that Su Lei weighed eighty kilograms, his strength had reached ten times his body weight, and with organ overdrive pushing his burst factor to 6.0.
The force of the impact, at four thousand eight hundred kilograms, was almost on par with a sub-wolf.
If it had been the Gao Xin of earlier days, he wouldn’t have been able to easily take that punch.
But the current Gao Xin was incredibly fierce, having increased his weight to four hundred kilograms these past few days, with a base strength of twelve tons. He wasn’t someone who could be trifled with so easily.
"Hey, don’t be so harsh on your own organs, they could fetch a good price," Gao Xin said coldly.
At the same time, he threw a barrage of punches, breaking the bones of Meimei, Liu Xu, and Sun Chuan.
Li Shande was no different, but he managed to embrace Gao Xin at the very moment the fist hit, to prevent himself from being blasted away.
"Aaah!"
This caused even more severe injuries, caving in his chest.
However, he disregarded it all and suddenly shot mechanical wolf claws out from between the cracks of the punches!
"Pshht!"
Caught off-guard, the claws pierced through Gao Xin’s heart.
"Get off me!" Gao Xin kicked out, sending Li Shande crashing into the ceiling, collapsing several Scavengers’ homes in succession.
"For a Radiation to have modified his own arm? Do you want to become a cyborg?"
Gao Xin frowned deeply, while the muscles over his chest tightened, blocking the leak in his ventricle as he manually pumped blood.
Li Shande weakly said, "He... his heart is damaged... Now... take advantage of it..."
The others struggled to their feet, with Meimei panting like a bellows, quickly reloading her pistol, slide-tackling her way forward, and firing at Gao Xin in a mad barrage of bullets.
Liu Xu rolled over to pick up a dagger, and joined Sun Chuan, who had managed to creep up behind Gao Xin, for a pincer attack.
Su Lei, left with only one arm, showed no fear, charging with all his might.
With the momentum of his charge, he leaped forward, leaving himself no way out.
All five were intent on fighting to the death, determined to bring down Gao Xin.
"Good job."
Gao Xin praised them, then smashed all five of them back into the ground.
His praise, to their ears, sounded like a cruel ridicule.
Even with a pierced heart, Gao Xin remained calm and collected, a crushing pressure on them.
"This guy... is too strong..."
"We must... break through to sub-wolf..."
The group got up shakily again, and though Gao Xin seemed too powerful to defeat, they did not give up.
If five little wolves couldn’t win, what about five sub-wolves?
Time and again, they attempted to break through, pushing themselves desperately as they attacked Gao Xin.
This was a battle to the death, and they could not afford the consequences of defeat; they had to get stronger.
Gao Xin too intentionally gave them chances, and after a fierce battle, everyone grew to varying degrees.
Liu Xu and Meimei’s strength reached ten times their body weight, Sun Chuan and Li Shande reached twelve times, and Su Lei even hit fourteen times.
But clearly, for Class N Radiants, the A-Wolf represented an insurmountable threshold.
And now, the desperate circumstances seemed insufficient to stop them.
Their onslaught grew numb; they were merely exhausting themselves swinging their fists, only to be knocked down by Gao Xin.
There was no novelty anymore; it was as if they were just forcing Gao Xin to kill them.
"What drives the Radiants to evolve isn’t a lack of fear of death, but exactly the opposite—it’s the fear of dying."
Silver Hand suddenly spoke up beside Gao Xin.
Gao Xin grunted an acknowledgment; although the five of them had been skirting death, it seemed their desire to live had faded.
It was as if any outcome would suffice, so long as it wasn’t being slaughtered like pigs; death appeared to be a dignified option.
"Hey, hey, I’ve given you too many chances, hoping you would obediently comply, but it seems you fail to appreciate that."
Gao Xin’s words hung in the air like a grim reaper’s warning.
However, clearly, the five of them refused without hesitation, "Don’t even think about it, if you dare, kill us!"
"Otherwise, we will definitely kill you!"
Gao Xin sneered, "This is so ridiculous. Do you really think that, at worst, you’ll just die?"
"How could you afford such luxury? Your bodies are my property. I will make you beg for life and death in vain."
As he spoke, he moved like lightning, grabbing Sun Chuan, who was attempting a sneak attack from behind, twisting his two arms together with a violent twist.
"Ughhh!" Sun Chuan’s hands immediately twisted into braids.
Forget throwing a punch; Gao Xin even wrapped the twisted limbs around Sun Chuan’s neck and kicked him flying, causing him to struggle on the ground like a rolling bottle gourd.
Then he caught Meimei, bit her neck, and greedily drank her blood.
While doing so, he twisted her arms behind her and crossed them together into a tight knot!
"Ahhh!" Meimei screamed in terror, tossed to the ground.
Forget firing a gun; this woman could hardly even stand up, as her body strained backward to relieve the pressure on her tied hands.
Her legs kicked and scraped on the ground, trying to rise but only wriggling like a worm.
"Meimei!" the others cried out with eyes filled with rage.
Su Lei and Li Shande charged like madmen, while Liu Xu took the chance to drag Meimei back, trying to untangle her bound hands.
But Meimei despaired, "Kill me, please kill me!"
Liu Xu hesitated for a moment but then plunged the dagger into her brain.
Gao Xin curled his lip, shook off Su Lei with a push, and quickly grabbed Liu Xu’s wrist, crushing it with a snap.
"Have you lost your courage so soon?"
Gao Xin sighed, and efficiently broke all of Liu Xu’s arms and legs.
Having undergone such experiences before, Liu Xu and Meimei had crawled on the ground like worms during the first game.
But back then, they had hope. Everyone worked together, even resorting to biting at ropes in order to strangle Silver Hand.
Now, however, there was no light in their eyes; this somewhat disappointed Gao Xin.
But it was also quite normal; they saw no glimmer of hope.
"Boom!"
"Let them go!"
Su Lei roared, charging like a crazed locomotive, slamming hard into Gao Xin.
Gao Xin didn’t dodge; to give them a sliver of hope, he took the hit head-on, spitting blood as he was sent flying.
"Oh? A Sub-wolf now..."
Gao Xin’s bloodstained lips curled up: "Very well, your price just went up."
"Come on, keep going. I’m giving you all the chance to kill me. Evolve quickly."
Su Lei couldn’t contain his rage, and in fact, everyone was a bit puzzled as to why Gao Xin was giving them so many chances, even occasionally healing them.
Why didn’t he simply paralyze them like before?
It turned out that he was forcing them to evolve, which would then raise their price.
"Die die die!" Su Lei’s fury seemed to manifest tangibly, blowing his hair wildly.
His organs, already over-clocked, went into a second phase of over-clocking.
His burst coefficient reached 12.0!
He ran like the wind, channeling all his strength into his remaining left fist, which held the impact force of a full ten tons, like a heavy-duty truck slamming forward.
This scene even stunned Salah: This kid has the makings of a Wolf King!
"Good!" Gao Xin was instantly excited, still eschewing evasion, and met the punch with one of his own.
As the two were about to collide fists, pitting life against death,
Su Lei, remembering the previous exchange that blew off one of his arms, suddenly diverted his fist.
Was he chickening out? Not at all. Su Lei’s fist brushed past Gao Xin’s.
As Gao Xin landed a hit on his chest, Su Lei’s fist also struck Gao Xin’s neck.
Both sides hit each other’s vital points at the same time. They were aiming for mutual destruction!
"Smart, you’ve really got the gist of it, kid."
Gao Xin was hammered away, his neck snapping instantly and his spine shattering.
He flew a great distance, hitting a wall and causing a spiderweb of cracks with the back of his head.
Su Lei fared no better as he spun through the air backwards.
His chest caved in deeply, his back bulged and burst into a cloud of blood mist.
Then, he was caught mid-air by Li Shande, and together they crashed into a wall like a piece of broken cloth.
"Su Lei... you..." Li Shande realized Su Lei’s heart was crushed.
With his last breath Su Lei said, "Kill... kill him..."
Without a second thought, Li Shande set Su Lei down and madly charged at Gao Xin.
"Heh..." Gao Xin sat slumped below a wall, catching Li Shande’s fist in his hand.
Spurt! Li Shande’s claws exploded out of his hand, piercing through Gao Xin’s palm, and then he tried to slash through.
But Gao Xin’s left arm had the Meteor Crossbow, and the material of this glove was obviously much higher quality than his claws.
Gao Xin’s left hand firmly pinned Li Shande’s hand in place, preventing further entry.
Then, his right hand too grew a layer of Exoskeleton Armor, continuously blocking Li Shande’s other attacks, filling the air with the sound of flesh and bone colliding.
"Ahhhhh!" Li Shande punched and kicked frantically, each strike like a stormy assault, but every time Gao Xin blocked him.
The two were in a stalemate, as if caught in a deadlock.
Seeing this, Liu Xu and Meimei immediately saw light in their eyes, and they slithered up like worms breaking out of a cocoon, trying to land a killing blow.
This scene, so similar to when they all strangled Silver Hand together, was strikingly familiar.
Only this time, they were all Radiations.
Meimei found an angle and suddenly kicked out, shooting forward like an arrow.
Boom, with the force of thunder, she too had broken through to a Sub-wolf.
"Puh!"
Gao Xin was hit, their heads colliding as Meimei also sprayed him with blood from her face.
Then came Liu Xu and Sun Chuan, charging in succession like dolphins in a tactical advance.
Gao Xin’s heart was pierced, his neck smashed, his head bloodied. It seemed he too was reaching his limit.
The group was in the final throes of battle, seeing who would die first.
Salah couldn’t help but say, "Hey hey, does it really need to go this far?"
His voice was calm, but when it reached the ears of the others, it sent a chill through their hearts.
That’s right, there was still one more, and it was True Tiger!
Even if they killed the Real Wolf before them, it would just mean breaking even, and they would ultimately be taken back by True Tiger, condemned to live like livestock.
They had reached their limit, their overwhelming despair finally crushing them as Salah’s words felt like the last straw.
Gao Xin smiled: "All right, that’s it for today."
"I’m done playing."
With those words, he suddenly burst forth with vigor, leaping up and sweeping everyone aside.
Meimei, Liu Xu, Sun Chuan, Li Shande were flung around like flowers scattered from heaven, falling everywhere.
This scene was eerily reminiscent of the time Silver Hand, on the brink of death, burst out with energy and sent them flying.
Meimei watched Gao Xin in shock. Could it be that he was on the verge of a breakthrough as well?
No, that wasn’t it.
Gao Xin stood firmly and strolled leisurely.
He twisted his neck and his vertebrae seemed to have somehow repaired itself.
Gao Xin walked on, unscrewing his canteen to gulp down water.
Then, he unsheathed the Demon Blade.
Looking at this, he clearly wasn’t at his limit at all.
On closer examination, from start to finish, he hadn’t over-clocked nor used any weapons. He had just been toying with them all along.
In that moment, Meimei and the others whimpered, completely breaking down.
What was even more terrifying was that Gao Xin walked over to Su Lei.
The Demon Blade brutally plunged into Su Lei’s chest. With force, he sliced open a gaping wound.
Then he reached in and pulled out the shattered heart.
"Su Lei!" The four screamed, their eyes nearly bursting.
True to Black Blood Gang’s reputation, they indeed treated them like livestock.
Did he think that since Su Lei’s heart was destroyed, he was as good as dead and hurried to harvest all his organs while he was still barely alive, to preserve them fresh?
The four tried to move, not knowing what they intended to accomplish, but they just wanted to act with all their might.
But it was too slow, utterly meaningless.
And Gao Xin’s next action stunned them into stillness.
"Rip!"
Suddenly, Gao Xin ripped open his own chest and dug out his own heart.
