Chapter 204: Chapter 89: Crazy Monkey Huang Banyun
Seeing Gao Xin charge in furiously with his Demon Blade slashing down,
the Six Paths Scars not only didn’t fear, but his rage surged even more.
"Still want to kill me? Just by yourself?"
The Six Paths Scars didn’t know where his confidence came from, but one look at this strike’s speed made it clear that Gao Xin was still merely a true wolf.
Granted, Gao Xin had killed the wolf leader and clearly possessed the combat power of a Wolf King.
But what of it? He was but a fledgling tiger.
And the silverback gorilla he was riding, it too was at the Wolf King level.
The monkey he was leading was even an SR of the Asian Tiger level.
Gao Xin, a mere true wolf, with what could he be so brash?
If Gao Xin had called upon a wolf pack for a group attack, the Six Paths Scars might have been a bit scared, but Gao Xin had actually drawn the wolves away, opting for a one-on-one fight? Isn’t that ridiculous?
"You won’t escape today!"
"Heizi, attack!"
The Six Paths Scars roared, leaping off the silverback to join the battle, drawing his blade.
The silverback gorilla stood erect and smashed its chest ferociously, lifting a piece of the floor and hurling it with a daunting momentum.
The blade techniques of the Six Paths Scars were also sharp, fast as a gust of wind!
"Swoosh!" The whistle echoed through the night sky.
However, Gao Xin didn’t show the slightest fear, and when his Demon Blade collided with it, a piercing clash sounded.
"Slash!"
Gao Xin’s Demon Blade, glowing with plasma, swept past in a flash.
Although the Six Paths Scars wielded great strength, his weapon was no match for the Demon Blade and was instantly severed and melted.
"What!"
The Six Paths Scars, oblivious to the true value of what he faced, now realized the might of that blade.
He retreated as fast as he could, but it was too late; he still got struck in the chest by the blade.
"Gurgle!"
The Six Paths Scars suffered a heavy blow, his chest charred.
If it weren’t for the silverback gorilla’s timely killing move that sent Gao Xin flying, he nearly got finished off by Gao Xin right then!
"Pu..." Gao Xin was smashed by the gorilla, crashing through a wall fiercely, and landed inside a dilapidated house.
Dust ascended; Gao Xin spat out a mouthful of blood, his left arm’s Exoskeleton Armor splintered, having suffered internal injuries as well.
Yet he’d long been accustomed to such wounds.
Without even a change in his gaze, he immediately charged out from the debris again.
"Roar!"
The silverback gorilla confronted him, its hands somehow already holding a streetlamp.
The metal was kneaded into the size of a basketball, fingers dug deep into it, spinning and smashing down.
The massive metal ball was incredibly thick; when Gao Xin’s blade cut into it, it didn’t smoothly slice through.
A slight hesitation and he felt an astonishing force transmitted through.
Heizi, weighing four hundred kilograms, at true wolf level, could lift twelve tons.
Moreover, now it was accumulating power to strike, and as Gao Xin engaged, he could feel the gorilla’s standard explosion factor matched his own organ overclocking, both at 6.0.
The impact force reached an astounding seventy-two tons!
At that moment, Gao Xin felt as if he’d been hit by a heavy main battle tank.
At the critical juncture, he decisively abandoned his sword, spun around on his heel, stepping on the wall to shatter it, spiraling to dissipate the abrupt impact.
Right after, he sprang back like a boomerang, his leg striking Heizi right at the back of the head.
His silver armor, filled with spikes and bladed on the legs, deeply impaled Heizi’s skull.
"Aargh!"
Heizi, with incredibly strong vitality, roared almost human-like in agony.
"Heizi, I’ve got you!"
The Six Paths Scars, despite fearing Gao Xin’s strength, didn’t want to let Heizi confront this powerful enemy alone.
Immediately, he led the big monkey to flank Gao Xin.
For a moment, one man, one gorilla, and one monkey surrounded Gao Xin; each with strength not to be underestimated.
Truth be told, the Six Paths Scars were the weakest of them.
Gao Xin estimated his strength to be about forty times higher, only slightly more than a true wolf.
If it had been just him, Gao Xin might have been able to take him down in seconds...
However, as a senior Beast Tamer, his real combat power lay in his pet... Heizi.
"And this monkey... so strong, its speed and power completely overpower me."
"But why does it feel like it’s holding back?"
In the brief melee, Gao Xin assessed the strength of his opponents.
The monkey was the strongest. However, every move was merely a nibble, a simple counter-attack while resolving his offensive moves, never pursuing deeply.
On one hand, it was probably because it was chained at the neck, led by the Six Paths Scars, making it impossible to follow up aggressively.
On the other, this monkey seemed to be just going through the motions.
"Ha... this monkey isn’t yours, is it?" Gao Xin said.
There was a stark contrast in how the Six Paths Scars treated the gorilla and the monkey; one roamed freely, while the other was chained.
To this, the Six Paths Scars coldly said, "Huang Banyun just needs to be my ’shield,’ whereas Heizi is my ’fist’!"
"Huang Banyun?" Gao Xin was somewhat taken aback.
What kind of name was that? A monkey actually had a human name, and moreover, a Han Chinese name.
Gao Xin realized instantly that this monkey was probably stolen by him, maybe even holding a deep grudge against him.
With that thought, Gao Xin immediately released pheromones to stir things up.
In an instant, both the gorilla and the monkey became enraged.
Especially the monkey, no longer remotely calm, its eyes bloodshot, it looked at the Six Paths Scars full of hatred, its hands reaching out like lightning.
The Six Paths Scars was startled; he clenched his hand, the chain rattled, and something seemed to be emitted from the collar, immediately making the monkey clutch its head in agony, squatting down.
"Huang Banyun, I know you can resist the other’s incitement, don’t make things harder for yourself!" the Six Paths Scars harshly warned.
Recovering from the pain, the monkey regained calmness and astonishingly suppressed Gao Xin’s incitement straight away.
He took a step forward, attacking Gao Xin, but also gave a meaningful glance; hinting at the chain.
It seemed to say: Why don’t you just break my shackles!
Since Gao Xin’s awakening of Wild Communication, he could clearly understand some of the animals’ intentions, as if it was a biological instinct.
He took a hint and immediately struck at the chain.
But how could Six Paths Scars not understand Gao Xin’s actions?
Never letting go of the chain and always leading it wherever he went was a constant precaution against the monkey.
Even as a fledgling Tiger Level, even a very ordinary one, it should not be underestimated.
With one move, he dodged the chain and shielded the monkey in front of him, and with a slap, the monkey smashed Gao Xin’s arm aside.
At the same time, Heizi ferociously charged out, the iron ball smashing through the air with a roar, his combat power even fiercer.
"Hahaha, Heizi is the one I raised myself, as dear to me as my own child!"
"Even if he’s incited, he won’t hurt me!"
Six Paths Scars laughed triumphantly while also releasing pheromones, constantly communicating with and appeasing Heizi.
Gao Xin’s brow furrowed tightly, these two men and one beast were too troublesome, far more formidable than he had imagined.
No wonder the hunting group almost entirely relied on them and a pack of wolves for defense; they must be quite capable.
Gao Xin had already found their coordination’s weak point—it was the monkey’s chain.
If the fight continued this way, he was confident he could win, but he didn’t have much time.
Too many of Yakuza’s black hands were nearby, and wolf howls were already sounding not far away, reminding him that more powerful foes would soon arrive, and the enemies would only become numerous as the fight dragged on.
"I must make this a quick battle!"
Gao Xin’s eyes hardened, forsaking his plan to cut the monkey’s chain and instead directly charging at the fiercest, Heizi.
The huge iron ball in Heizi’s hands came sweeping across.
Gao Xin didn’t dodge or evade but directly met it head-on!
Finding the perfect angle, he struck the iron ball full force with his palm.
More precisely, he hit the Demon Blade embedded in the ball.
The Demon Blade wasn’t truly stuck but had just been momentarily delayed inside it.
With that smack, it shot out instantly, like a sniper rifle bullet, piercing through Heizi’s skull.
However, for that hit, Gao Xin had taken the brunt of the force directly, his body slamming into the stairwell like a ragdoll.
Boom! Two pillars broke, and half of the building collapsed on the spot, burying him.
"Heizi!"
Six Paths Scars screamed in anguish, never expecting Gao Xin would do such a thing, seizing the moment with a ruthless edge, trading his life with that of a beast.
After such a severe blow, Heizi’s body swayed, a Demon Blade implanted in his head, the hilt penetrating deep into his skull.
The blade extended out the back, making it look like he had grown an inverted horn.
Yet even so, Heizi was still alive.
His hand gripping the iron ball, he staggered as if about to fall yet didn’t collapse.
This vitality was more terrifying than a fat pig’s; after all, there were digestive colonies on the Demon Blade.
At this moment, his brain was being eroded; he really wouldn’t live much longer.
But Six Paths Scars did not know this; he reached out his hand but still dared not pull out the Demon Blade.
Even though he recognized it as a good blade, a B+ grade nano weapon.
But Heizi mattered more to him!
"Hang in there! Heizi! Don’t die!"
This was the Silverback Gorilla he had personally raised from infancy, as dear to him as his own child.
Six Paths Scars immediately took out a regenerative agent and injected it.
But just then, rocks spewed out, and Gao Xin climbed out of the rubble once more.
"You can still get up?"
Six Paths Scars was shocked; he was very aware of how fierce Heizi’s full-strength blow was.
A Silverback Gorilla naturally has a higher explosive power than humans. Even with Exoskeleton Armor, Gao Xin should have been crushed into a pulp inside it.
Even if Gao Xin didn’t die, his internal organs should have been shattered, leaving him paralyzed.
Gao Xin’s right hand and chest were split open, the Exoskeleton Armor burst, revealing the bloody mess within.
His internal organs were indeed ruptured, even his heart was broken, but he had a C-grade regenerative agent, along with Bloodthirsty Regeneration and active fat.
A large amount of fat surged and burned within his body, turning into active substances that caused his cells to divide rapidly, and his ruptured organs visibly regenerated.
"Damn, active fat!"
Six Paths Scars’s face turned sour. It wasn’t shocking that Gao Xin had taken a drug; its effects took time to manifest, not working instantly.
Like Heizi, who had also been administered with a regenerative agent, yet still hadn’t recovered.
But active fat was different; it acted extremely quickly, especially when healing oneself, the effects were more pronounced—after all, it was originally a substance from within one’s own body.
Is it any wonder that gene modules are considered the highest cost-effective exchange?
Especially in the hands of Gao Xin, who could pull proficiency to the max, as if Rousi, immersed in this field for ages, used it with the efficiency of the most ingenious users.
No matter how high the talent required, if someone could achieve a certain level of life effect, then Gao Xin could achieve it as well.
"Maybe one day, I’ll be killed."
"But you’re not up to the task."
Gao Xin stared at his horrific injury and stood up, rapidly recovering with each step, and finally ran, charging like white lightning.
Six Paths Scars was terrified and hid behind Huang Banyun, "Damn monkey, finish him off quickly!"
"Otherwise, I’ll kill you!"
Huang Banyun did make a move, instantly intercepting Gao Xin.
But Gao Xin paid it no attention, suddenly sidestepping to grab the blade of the Demon Blade sticking out of Heizi’s head.
"Puchi!"
With the blade in hand, Gao Xin pulled out the Demon Blade, ending Heizi’s life and simultaneously striking Huang Banyun’s neck with the weapon.
Huang Banyun, startled, also lunged with its hand blade, piercing through Gao Xin, who was not yet fully recovered.
The monkey’s hand went straight through his chest, but it avoided the vital organs.
"Clang!"
Gao Xin’s expression didn’t change as he sliced off the root of the chain; blood poured from his chest.
Six Paths Scars retreated continuously, not fearful of Gao Xin, but instead looking at Huang Banyun with terror.
Then he turned and ran, shouting, "Everyone, come quickly! Help!"
"Thank you..." Huang Banyun slowly pulled its hand from Gao Xin’s chest, as if human.
Gao Xin looked at the monkey with surprise: "You can speak human language?"
Huang Banyun didn’t respond, suddenly darting after Six Paths Scars like black lightning.
It pounced, pinning Six Paths Scars to the ground, who screamed in pain.
But Huang Banyun showed no mercy, its hands blurring with speed as it tore, its throat emitting a bestial roar!
At that moment, it did not resemble a human at all, but a complete maniac, ripping Six Paths Scars into shreds alive.
