Chapter 113: Chapter 42 Removing the Radiation_2
"Fuck! Fuck!"
The muscular man smashed the door frantically, swinging the ax with power acceleration, his muscles bulging and even emitting white smoke—his organs were overworking.
Still, he couldn’t break through the door!
"Open the door! Open it!"
He was going mad, peering through the window to see a glass person cowering in the corner, urgently shouting at him.
But the glass person trembled violently, not daring to move, deeply afraid of being hit by some attack, and couldn’t care less about the person outside the door.
The muscular man was extremely horrified and yelled at Louis, "Big brother! Big brother! Open the door!"
Inside, Louis was also pushing his organs to the limit, employing every tactic at his disposal.
Clenching his teeth, he braced for heavy damage but still charged toward the door.
"Hahaha!"
"Boom!"
Ponytailed Sofia, who had already been near the door shooting, quickly stepped in front of Louis, unloading her dual guns frantically.
Each shot had a small explosive impact. Louis tried to block one with his hammer to open the door but got hit by another one, his body critically damaged and flying out while emitting black smoke.
The man outside the door was seething with rage but completely helpless.
"Hey! Over here!" Suddenly, Gao Xin’s voice came through.
The muscular man turned to see the gate of White Base wide open.
He had no other choice but to grab the lifeline and dash into White Base for dear life.
At last, he threw himself through the doors of White Base just before the countdown’s execution strike.
Seeing that the execution strike didn’t come, he let out a sigh of relief.
But noticing no one on the first floor, he panicked and shouted upstairs, "Don’t, don’t vote! Let’s talk!"
Gao Xin appeared halfway down the stairs, looking down at him, "You should say at least one thing."
The muscular man’s mouth twitched, and he hung his head, "We shouldn’t have underestimated you."
"That’s not the sentence," Gao Xin said indifferently.
The muscular man frowned, "We could cooperate, take on Sofia together."
Gao Xin shook his head, "Neither is that."
The muscular man stared at him, "I have five hundred points, all yours after the game ends."
"Five hundred?" Gao Xin laughed, recalling a Radiation who also mentioned five hundred in the last game. Was that the going rate?
Just then, Dongfang Yi emerged beside Gao Xin, whispering a few words.
Gao Xin commanded, "Say it loudly."
Dongfang Yi declared, "The votes are cast, you’re the only one left."
The muscular man, enraged, hurled his ax, "Fuck! What do you want me to say then!"
Gao Xin and Dongfang Yi were well prepared and swiftly ducked into a blind spot.
By the time he chased them to the second floor, he only saw Gao Xin standing at the voting room, the door nearly closed to a sliver.
"Say goodbye."
Thump, the door locked.
The muscular man’s features distorted with fury, but he was powerless to do anything.
"Traitor voting completed."
"No!"
A beam of light descended, and he turned to ash on the spot.
Soon after, people emerged from the rooms.
Dongfang Yi bluntly said, "Good riddance!"
Meimei counted the money, "Those voted to death unanimously, everyone gets a thousand, that’s ten thousand for ten people."
Qiao Long pondered, "The other side is still killing each other."
Dongfang Yi spoke loudly, "Radiation people killing each other is normal, especially the Viking Gang, they started with one less than Sofia’s group."
"But Sofia probably doesn’t feel confident about five against four, worrying about losing her own people, so she stabilizes the other side first, then uses gladiator voting to discharge one of them..."
"Taking advantage of their need to regroup, she acts, creating a five against three situation while also using the execution strike to eliminate another."
Gao Xin looked towards him, "Actually, the Viking Gang was right, if the two Radiation factions really united, the black side would almost certainly win, and our white side could only delay the inevitable defeat."
"But the problem lies in subversion. If our side is very united, able to work together cohesively, we can turn someone from their side... disrupting their voting and possibly dragging things out a long time with invitation votes."
"The alliance among Radiation people is very fragile. Once someone is turned, it means they are surrounded by hostile forces, killing one would earn a redemption ticket."
"That’s the perpetual threat."
Meimei, a bit perplexed, asked, "I understand all this, but then shouldn’t we try to tell Sofia that we’ve turned Louis?"
Dongfang Yi smiled, "Even if we say it, would she listen?"
"If we go to great lengths, using gladiator voting, throwing secret messages, or shouting and such to send messages, it looks too much like we’re sowing discord, almost like we’ve got ’I really want you to kill each other’ written across our faces."
"Besides, that might make it seem like we’re very united and have some strategy to win... she will think about these things."
"Under these circumstances, unless Louis acts recklessly on his own, Sofia won’t be in a hurry to make a move, probably waiting another round or two."
"Because with an apparent alliance, we on the white side are the enemy."
Everyone nodded; the priority was to ensure a game advantage. Concerning a showdown with the other Radiation group, there was no rush. After all, she had more people and held the initiative.
Gao Xin gazed out the window at the chaotic scene on the other side.
He reflected, "If they were honest with each other and cooperated against us, that would spell trouble."
"At that point, the black team could exploit Louis’s white identity, preventing us from turning a second person, which we couldn’t afford."
"Fortunately, Louis dares not confess, and Sofia doesn’t ask, both sides are in a delicate situation, acting as if nothing has happened."
"The longer they do not address the issue, the more problematic the hidden danger becomes."
"At such a time, just a little nudge to make Sofia think we are disunited, not a threat..."
