’’My room? What room? Are you both still at my place?" Hazel gasped exaggeratedly.

Maxim was about to speak when a delicate hand held his forearm. He glanced at Diana, a little dazed.

Diana was speechless. What would she do with clothes and trends during one night?

After the woman hung up, Diana glanced at Maxim with a puppy face, ’’Warner, what do we do now?" she ran her index finger up and down on his forearm, brows tugging in thought.

Maxim’s breathing turned shallow. Did she even notice what she was doing? "There should be a spare key in one of the vases outside.’’

’’Don’t even think about it,’’ she cut him off, ’’You can’t call Ivy over for help. She has a date too. It’s like everyone is going on a date tonight.’’

Diana burst out in laughter, dropping her hand from his forearm, ’’I don’t want to go on a platonic friendship date.’’

’We can go on a non-platonic one’ the dirty words were resting just at the tip of his tongue but Maxim did not utter them.

’’As for non-platonic ones with other men...’’ Diana’s brows wiggled, ’’I don’t want relationships and commitments. And I don’t think I trust any of them enough to start a no-strings thing...’’

She made some strange arc with her hand in the air before glaring at him, ’’You get my point?"

Maxim nodded even though he didn’t quite get her point. Date with other men? Why would she even do something absurd like that? He could take her on any kind of date she wanted. Those were the words that first came to his mind.

’’Good,’’ Diana sighed, ’’We can’t disturb Ivy today. She must be working now before she leaves for her date later this evening.’’

’’So, you suggest..?" Maxim’s brow raised imperceptibly.

’’What else can I suggest? We stay here at your mother’s place till she is back or till we can call Ivy over to get us out of here,’’ Diana swallowed slowly.

They kissed yesterday. They were supposed to avoid each other for a few days to calm down but here they were, locked in this villa. What if something went out of control, ’’You know what? How about the windows? I noticed that the windows on the ground floor are quite large. We can easily jump out.’’

’’They have a censor system. When the door is locked, the windows will remain locked for safety purposes as well,’’ Maxim explained calmly.

Diana gulped, ’’In the end, it’s just glass, we can break it and jump outside.’’

’’Sure,’’ Maxim said.

Diana’s face was about to bloom in a spring-like smile when the man continued.

’’As long as you can jump through the laser rays that will be activated when you break the glass, rest would be fine,’’ the man deadpanned.
