Chapter 56: Sylvia In The Fallen City!

Chapter 56: Chapter 56: Sylvia In The Fallen City!

Sylvia had been teleported into the fallen city at the same time as Drake and the

twins were , only she had been taken to a different part of the city. She was in a

large plaza, but everything around as far as the eye could see was broken up or in

a tattered state.

Just as she was looking around, she ran into a magic beast. It was a Grade 2

magic beast; Crazed Boar.

Sylvia was instantly in a terrible position when it attacked. She was not a battle

Mage so she even though she had magic power she never really fought, so she

was quickly put at a disadvantage.

Luckily, someone came to her rescue at this time.

She was a beautiful and very attractive woman with natural light blond hair that

she let to flow freely, light blue eyes, full lips, and pale light skin with a small

dusting of freckles across her cheeks and nose.

She was tall and slim and looks like she is a 16 or 17 years old teenager. She was

dressed like a cheerleader in red, with a red skintight top and a short skirt that

barely covered half her thighs. The only thing that she was wearing that wasn’t

red was her pair of stockings that were black, And her blond hair was flowing

freely in the wind.

"Thank you for saving me!" Sylvia bowed lightly to show her appreciation.

"It’s nothing big. You could have handled this beast yourself even if I didn’t get

here." the blond turned her head and smiled at Sylvia. "You’re Sylvia right? Nice

to finally officially meet you."

Sylvia was shocked, "You know me?" but then when she thought about it, she

thought it shouldn’t be too surprising. After all she was from Obsidian Palace,

people must have investigated her origins and found out this.

"Yeah, I saw you with Drake." she added "I’m in the same class with him."

"Oh! I guess hat explains it. Yes I’m Sylvia nice to meet you."Sylvia had been on

guard when the Blond had appeared at first. But, then she had said that she was

a friend of Drake’s, so Sylvia had calmed down her apprehension.

But another kind of guard went up at this time. ’They’re classmates? What else

are they apart from classmates? This lady is very pretty, Is Drake attracted to

her? What if she’s attracted to Drake?’

A light seemed to flash through the blonde’s eyes at this moment.

It seemed she knew what Sylvia was thinking, so she chuckled softly and said,

"There is no need to be so anxious. I know what you are thinking but no me and

Drake don’t have any thing going on. We are just classmates!"

"Just classmates?"

"Yes, just classmates." the blond thought this little sister was very funny, so she

added "For now at least." just to tease her

It was only now that that Sylvia calmed down a bit. She didn’t completely let it go

though.

The two of them spoke a bit and had then decided to at the blond’s behest team

up and began exploring the fallen city together. The blond lady was very powerful,

and she could easily kill any magical beast in seconds so Sylvia was perfectly safe

and didn’t need to worry about facing any danger from the magical beasts.

The two ladies were also enjoying each others company as the roamed through

this danger zone filled with magic beasts and danger. But, what Sylvia didn’t

know was that if Drake were here he would have immediately recognized her new

friend as Princess Cassandra. The Crazy Vampire Princess!

...

Four men were carefully walking through the upper floors of a twenty story high

building. Normally the higher the building, the better it was for finding a good

place so that they could hunt for lone smaller magic beasts for them to hunt.

Lone magic beasts end to like complicated terrains since it could be useful in

both fights and escaping when they were attacked by stronger beasts.

They could have gone to a higher building, but the higher the building the higher

the chance of them running into a high level flying type magic beast.

Flying type magical beasts tended o have higher levels when compared to other

beasts. But this was because it was much harder for flying beasts to be killed

since they had great speed and land beasts couldn’t really attack them when they

were in the sky.

Flying type magic beasts were particularly hard to deal with, since they were low

level Mages and couldn’t fly. At their level and with the current numbers they

had, running into a flying type magic beast would be a death sentence.

This group were all 2 star Mages but they knew that alone their power was

nothing when compared to the ferocious magic beasts. They were being very

careful as they advanced when suddenly there was a crashing sound to the side.

And out of some tilted shelves a pair of Fire squirrels rushed out and jumped at

them.

"Formation! Two hostiles closing in fast." A loud call went out from the first one to

see the incoming Magic beasts.

The group quickly fell into a defensive formation and confronted the enemy.

"They’re fire Squirrels take your positions and kill them quickly don’t let them

escape." the voice gave another order again.

Fire Squirrels were magic beasts evolved from Squirrels, these rodents had a very

quick explosive speed and amazing agility. Grade 1 Fire Squirrels were half a

meter tall and a full meter tall when they got to Grade 2. These Fire Squirrels

before them were at Grade 2. When a Fire squirrel evolved to Grade 2, it would

possess a fire element affinity.

Normally they had chestnut brown fur. But, at Grade 2 they could set their fur on

fire when they got into fights. This fire ability was how they got their name Fire

Squirrels.

It was a long and arduous battle but they had good team work. There were eight

people in this group and they had split into groups of four to face the Fire

Squirrels.

From the way they coordinated their attacks it was evident that they had run into

several situations similar to this and had experience with this and even though

the magic beasts had finally killed the Fire Squirrels.

Light shone through the large windows beside them onto the corpses of the two

Fire Squirrels. There were several cuts on the bodies but only three looked fatal.

One was a stab in the back, another in the chest and a final that slashed through

the throat.

"We got them! Haha..."

They started to celebrate their victory when suddenly.

BANG!!!

The windows beside them exploded and a sharp scream was heard.

SCREEEE!!!

it was the cry of a magic beast. A massive silhouette of a winged magical beast

stood on this floor, it was so tall its head was already touching the ceiling of this

room.

The group of students couldn’t even get a clear look at it, they were completely

frightened out of their wits and hastily tried to retreat from this magic beast.

When the magic beast saw that it was being restrained by the size of the room it

retreated out the hole in the side of the building that it had just come in through.

Shouts of ’Is everyone okay?’ and ’What was that kept sounding through the

building and some responded but the voices were all distressed.

The students hastily rushed towards the stairway. They were having the same

thing running through their minds. ’’That beast is definitely gong to come back.

and ’We have to get out of here quickly!’

BANG!!! BANG!!!

However before they could go far, the walls once again began to explode as they

took impacts from the massive winged beast slamming against them from the

outside.

SCREEE!!!

The massive bird cried out as its merciless gaze locked onto them.

The building has already been in a very bad shape with the concrete already

badly cracked and the roof and walls broken apart. It had already faced all kinds

of tribulations over time so this battering caused the whole structure to fall apart.

The floor that the students were standing on collapsed into the lower floor, the

lower floor that was in no better shape also collapsed thanks to the weight and so

did the lower. This train reaction continued until the entire building eventually

fell.

Three of the students had managed to surrender in time, so their defensive

barriers had already been activated. However, four of the students had been

buried under the rubble, bearing different levels of injuries. If it were normal

people instead of Mages in this situation they would have already been dead.

The last student had jumped quite a distance during the collapse. He was a wind

element affinity Mage so he had barely managed to make tit out with lesser

injuries.

The moment he got his feet on the ground, he hastily sprang into a mad run to

escape.

The flying beast had flown out of the cloud of dust and surveyed the area at this

time. Its sharp eyes quickly locked onto the escaping student.

SCREEE!!!

It gave a deafening scream and with a flap of its wings it dashed forth, its speed

was so fast it was like it had teleported.
