Chapter 53: Chapter 53: Time Power

When these ripples spread they covered only 3 meters around him. But in these 3

meters everything began to move slower.

Paul had no idea any of this was happening, but Drake who had been using the

’Eye of Order’ saw everything. Two words immediately rang out like mighty bells

in his mind.

’Time Power!’

Paul had no idea but every time he called out for himself to move faster a ripple

would be generated. Every ripple made him move twice faster while halving the

speed of the Alpha wolf and Peter per second.

When the first ripple hit, the Alpha wolf’s movement speed persecond

was cut in

half, just a split second after it hit before its effect could wear off, another ripple

hit halving that speed. Now it could only move at a quarter its speed persecond.

In the same way Paul’s movement Speed persecond

doubled with the first ripple,

then the newly attained speed doubled again with the second ripple, then again

with the third ripple.

’The effect of this Time power is stacking over!’ Drake was dumbfounded, ’From

the looks of it, at his current stage as a 2 star Mage, he can only affect time by a

multiple of two. That means he can either cut Times speed in half or double it.

But given the current circumstances he is straining himself and forcing himself to

break the rules of his ability, this is what is letting him stack the doubling and

halving ability.’

’The scariest part is that he is both doubling his own speed and halving the

opponents speed at the same time.’ Drake thought it was absurd, this ability was

absolutely broken.

It really was a broken ability. In fact it should be called a cheat.

An absolute cheat that messed with the laws of nature and existence itself. It

should be known that Time affects everything, and nothing can escape the laws

of time.

There was a saying among martial artists, ’Speed is the only thing that is

unbeatable.’

Now imagine a martial artist that prides themselves in their unbeatable speed

facing up against an enemy that can cut down the speed they are so proud of into

nothing but a crawl, just how aggrieving could that possibly be?

You could be the strongest man, or the richest man or even the most powerful

tyrant alive.

You might feel invincible with all the power and authority you control, but when

you are up against time you can do nothing.

Imagine a rich tycoon that could achieve anything with their riches and authority,

no matter how powerful they got, they could not beat time. Eventually they would

age and die!

Picture a great warrior, having all the power in the world. He could do anything

you want and have anything in the world, even control the life and death of others

at the tip of their fingers.

But at the end of the day it all won’t matter when you were faced against time.

You would eventually die of old age.

That is why there is a saying ’Space is King and Time is supreme!’

’Three ripples in one second, that’s his limit. But that is more than enough.’

in the next second Drake watched as the situation suddenly changed. It looked as

if a divine hand holding the universal remote had pushed fast forward on Paul

and then pushed slow motion on the Alpha wolf.

Assuming Paul’s natural movement speed was 2 meter persecond,

in that second

his speed had risen to 16 meters per second.

(Regular speed 2, first ripple – 2x2=4, second ripple – 4x2=8, third ripple –

8x2=16)

Paul easily grabbed Peter and darted out of the way. He was already 3 meters

away by the time the Alpha wolf regained it former speed.

When the Alpha wolf landed, It was surprised to see that it had actually missed.

When it remembered how the speed of that pesky human abruptly rose and took

its target out of the way, it was shocked since even it could not move at such

speed. But then its shock turned to rage that it had actually missed its target.

Peter and Paul were stunned. They had both felt that change, that glitch in the

natural laws. In that second they had moved at a speed so fast they themselves

could tell it wasn’t natural.

"Haha, Paul you dumbass. You did it, you used Time power!" Peter’s shock turned

to excitement and he burst into laughter.

Meanwhile Paul was still shocked by what he had just done. In that second, he

had felt like everything suddenly slowed down while he got faster. This was a

power he felt very close to yet unfamiliar with.

Paul was still looking at his hands asking himself, "This is Time power? This is

my power?"

While they were still stuck in their reverie the Alpha Wolf had snapped out of it

and was even more pissed that it let out an enraged howl then turned to charge

at them again.

"Hey wild mutt!" Drake’s voice caused it to stop in its tracks. "Where do you think

you’re going you mangy dog?"

The Alpha wolf was furious when it saw that the first human it had disposed of

was actually up and running about again.

Baring its fangs, It turned its head to him and opened large jaws and Wind power

gathered in its maw forming a Wind sphere. only this wind sphere was a bit

different compared to the one it had shot at him before, this time the wind sphere

grew to four feet wide then it compressed till it was only a foot wide.

This took an extra second compared to the previous times, ’This time my wind

ability will definitely kill you.’ the Alpha wolf thought when the sphere was done

forming.

In the next second the compressed Wind sphere shot forth like a torpedo headed

straight for Drake. He instantly felt he was locked in place and could no longer

move.

Drake snorted, "Humph, Don’t use the same attack against me twice."

’Eye of Order’

’DISPERSE!’

Once he activated the special ability of the ’Eye of Order’ the lock of the Wind

sphere was destroyed and his freedom was restored.

It took only a moment for the compressed Wind sphere to arrive before him.

Drake did not hesitate, he swung his sword slamming the Wind sphere with flat

side of the blade.

He had thought about this after he saw that it was possible to enhance a weapon

with magic power. So this time he had covered his sword with the power of the

’Eye of Order’. Now it could be considered a ’Sword of Order’.

When his sword collided with the Wind sphere he instantly activated an ability of

the Libra constellation’s ’Power of Order’ and channeled it through the sword. The

Scales of Order moved as he activated the ’Eye of Order’.

’Sword of Order’

’INVERT ORDER!’

PANG!

It was a sound similar to one made when a bat smashed against a pingpong

ball,

an just like a pingpong

ball would, the Wind sphere went flying right back at the

Alpha wolf.

For a second the Alpha Wolf stood there stunned, ’Did this human just shoot my

Wind bomb back at me?’ it was confounded by what it just saw.

But then fear crept into its eyes when it saw the Wind sphere shot right up to it.

The Wind sphere did not give it any chances to escape and slammed right into it.

BOOM!!!

A terrifying explosion more powerful than the previous two explosions shook the

earth. Winds raged in the surroundings and many of the nearby weaker Wind

wolves were sent flying.

The Alpha wolf whimpered as it also went flying, it tumbled in midair.

Thanks to

its massive size and weight, it did not go too far. However, when it stopped, it was

not far from the twins position.

When it raised its head and saw them, it immediately jumped at them in

resentment.

Paul who was still immersed in the feeling of using Time power hastily activated

his Time power. A ripple spread forming a special domain reaching a radius of

meters with him at the center. He hastily grabbed Peter who was lying on the

ground and dashed out of the way.

The Alpha wolf ran into the time domain and its speed slowed to a crawl.

Drake who had already been mobilizing his magic power glowed with the golden

light of his triple layer armor and a bright white light had already formed into the

Radiant sword, as he charged through the winds at the Alpha wolf.

The Alpha wolf was stuck in the time domain and couldn’t evade.

Drake ran straight into the Time domain and His movement speed was instantly

cut. The Alpha wolf saw this and a hint of mirth appeared in its eyes.

’Eye of Order’

’DISPERSE!’

The effect of the time domain instantly disappeared and Drakes maximum speed

was restored.

The Alpha Wolf’s eyes widened in shock but there was nothing it could do there

was a flash and the head of the Alpha wolf was instantly separated from its body.
