Chapter 46: Chapter 46: Energy Sword!

"You know what? I changed my mind, I can’t do this. I’m going back to sleep.

Peter said then turned around and started climbing the tree again.

Paul snorted and grabbed his leg. "Where do you think you are going? Get back

down here!"

"No! are you kidding me?" Peter protested, "Have you seen how many Wolves there

are down here? I don’t know about you, but I’m not staying here and getting

bitten. I could be dog chow. And that’s not the worst part, What if they have

rabies?"

"Will you get down from there, what have you been learning after all this time?

Don’t you know that as a gentle man it’s wrong to not show proper manners at

occasions? These Guys went through so much effort to set up this welcoming

party for us, at least give some support!"

"Oh support? What do you have in mind?"

"I propose..." However just as they were playing off each other a pair of Wolves

lunged at them and the two brothers instantly vanished from their position.

CLANG! CHII!

Blood splattered as the two Wolves suddenly had their heads loped off. The twins

appeared above them, each clutching a short sword in their hands.

"Looks like they want a dance."

"Just what I had in mind. Let’s give the public what they want."

They both teleported again, each appearing right beside an unsuspecting Wind

Wolf.

SLASH! CHII!

With a single slash their short swords cut through the throats of the Wind

Wolves.

A Wind Wolf that was particularly close to Paul bit at his neck from behind. If it

successfully got a hold of him it would be over for him.

However just before it could get to him, a blade appeared in front of it getting

caught in its jaws. Peter had teleported behind Paul and used his Short sword to

block the beast This stopped it in its tracks, before it could react another blade

appeared beside its head chopping down.

SLASH! CHII!

Paul had teleported beside it and instantly beheaded the Wind Wolf.

It was a true Dance. A Dance of death!

What followed could only be described as a true massacre.

The twins were both very agile fighters, both using their teleportation ability to

the best. The blades of their Short swords were about Twofeet

long with the hilt

also being about a foot, making them over all not more than a meter long.

However, they ere extremely sharp.

One slash was enough to kill, and these two were not wasting any movements.

When they attacked they watch each others backs, covering each others

weaknesses. If one was attacked the other would teleport behind him to defend

him, giving them the chance to kill their target. And if both were attacked then

they would simply teleport to safety and attack other Wind Wolves.

Their fighting style perfectly played off each other. It was evident that they had

trained diligently on fighting together.

As long as they fought side by side, as long as they were together they could bring

forth their full power. They could exert the full power of this fighting style, but

6his also meant that if they were separate their Battle Power would drop

drastically.

In fact it was because of this weakness of not being together that they had chosen

to not fight against the magic beasts they had encountered earlier in the day. But

now that they were together, they were fearless!

As Drake watched the twins fight he was shocked by their sharpness and he

speed with which they were cutting down the Wind Wolves.

He soon noticed that they were not only covering their bodies with the Silvery

energy armor, they were also covering their weapons with the silvery light.

The weapons given to the students for the survival class were already quite good.

They were extremely sharp and quite strong, but for some reason thy seemed to

be even sharper in the hands of the twins.

When he looked closer he saw that the blades were cutting through the bodies of

the Wind Wolves as easily as a knife moving through butter.

It had to be known that even Drake while killing the Wind Wolves with his sword

faced resistance when he tried cutting through Grade 2 beasts, thanks to how

tough their flesh was. Yet, these guys were killing Wind Wolves as easily as Drake

killing Grade 1 beasts.

Why was there such an oddity? His Battle Power was almost equal to that of the

twins after breaking through. So why were they finding it easier to kill the same

Wind Wolves that he was struggling against?

It was then he saw something through the ’Eye of Order’. It was something almost

completely unnoticeable.

At the edge of the twins swords, he caught sight of s slight irregularity while their

swords cut through the air and through the beasts. It looked like slight ripples

and cracks in the space around the blades of the short swords. Whenever they

attacked the ripples themselves cursed the beasts flesh to start splitting even

before the blade made impact.

That is space power!

An explosion went off in Drakes head as he finally felt enlightened.

Why is it that when you attacked the energy armor of a fire affinity Mage you

would get burn daMage? Why is it that when you attacked the energy armor of an

ice affinity Mage you would get freezing chill daMage? Or the numbness that one

suffered when attacking a lightning element affinity Mage.

It was a well known fact that 2 star Mages can’t use spells, so why was all this

possible?

The answer was simple! These effects were a result of the elements natural

characteristics. Just because the Mage could not use long distance spells to

attack did not mean that the elements own natural characteristics did not exist.

It was this natural characteristic that the twins were relying on to attack.

Fire is naturally hot. Just because I can’t throw a fireball at you doesn’t mean

that if you touch me you won’t get burned. The same applied to ice; I may not be

able to shoot cold energy that will freeze you in place, but if you dare to touch me

you will suffer frostbite. All the other elements had their own way they naturally

reacted.

Drake remembered the last thing Queen had said to him before going into retreat

for her breakthrough. ’You need to learn how to use your power. Magic spells are

simply ways other Mages have learnt to use their own abilities. If you can master

your own power completely then every attack used by you will already be

comparable to any spell.’

Wasn’t what the twins wee currently doing an example of what she meant?

For the twins Space power, they simply had to make it so wherever their magic

power passed, the space would split. With this they had successfully created the

sharpest sword in existence.

They were using space itself as their sword!

Drake immediately started to think of how he could also use the properties of his

own magic power to achieve something similar.

Barrier power is not good for this situation, it would be best for defense and

containment.

Mental energy? No, I still don’t really know how to use that yet. But, it would

probably be good for illusions.

Healing energy is for recovery so I can’t really use that unless I can attack the

targets vitality with it, but that only works when healing power evolves to life

energy.

Gravity power is good for movement and defense and maybe if I was using a heavy

weapon it would have been good for attack but, it is not really the best for this

situation.

Earth energy has always been the best for defense, so I’ll just leave it be. This is

frustrating, why didn’t I run into a fire Mage or something? None of my current

elements are useful for attack." Drake was almost sulking at how few encounters

he had with different elements.

"Hold on! This Radiant moon light should be useful. Light shines far and sunlight

is the weakness of many creatures! Since it is also a form of light energy can’t I

just use it?"

With a thought Drake activated the Virgo constellation and a gentle light began to

shine over his body making him look like a messenger of the moon god.

’Moonlight is cool an gentle. But this is too weak I need to multiply the intensity.’

Drake thought and mobilized eve more magic energy and the light that shone

from his got so bright it was blinding.

It was as if the Moon God himself had descended. The light was so bright the

Wind wolves fell back, weary of the humans strange change.

Drake ignored them and continued manipulating his magic power.

’Even though Calm and gentle Radiant moonlight cannot compare to the ferocious

blazing power of brilliant sunlight, it does not matter. They are both light energies

light is light! All I have to do is make it do what I want so I can use it in the way I

want.’

What happens when intense light is passed through a magnifying glass?

’The light rays are converged and focused on one point. But I don’t need a

magnifying glass. Why? Because this light is my power it follows my will.’

Converge!

Suddenly, all the light shining from him began to gather on his sword that was

tightly gripped in his right hand.

In mere moments, all the light had converged on his right hand.

Drake had his eyes closed. Right now, one could no longer see the shape of the

original katana. Instead it looked like Drake was holding unto a 3 meter long

pillar of light that shone with a cold radiance.
