With everyone pitching in, they quickly cleaned the dorm, made the beds, and organized their supplies before leaving the dormitory.

Xue Liangliang brought everyone to a two-story building, with a "University Activity Center" sign hanging on the left of the entrance and an "Affordable Store" sign on the right.

The store was quite large and well-stocked with a variety of items.

Because it was still summer break, and there weren’t many students around, only a pale-faced guy was behind the counter, reading a book, while an aunt was cracking sunflower seeds on the other side.

"No problem." Xue Liangliang pointed downstairs, "Upstairs is the rehearsal room, where some student activities’ rehearsals take place. Downstairs, there’s a half-basement I use as storage, but I’ve partitioned a few small rooms down there. It has water, electricity, and a bathroom, though the lighting isn’t great. Aunt Sun also stays here sometimes."

The aunt who was cracking seeds earlier laughed, "Yes, that’s right, I live here."

Xue Liangliang continued, "What I mean is, you both can check out the environment downstairs, and if it suits you, stay here. I also have an off-campus apartment, here’s the key and address. Mainly, it’s a hassle to live far away and go in and out of the school gate."

Xue Liangliang handed a set of keys and a note with the address to Run Sheng.

Run Sheng didn’t take it, he pointed downstairs, "Then we’ll just stay below."

"Take the keys for the outside house, I have more."

"Alright."

"Let’s move things first, then we’ll go eat. Most of the school cafeterias are closed now, with only a few small windows open, but there’s nothing really to eat. There’s a Sichuan restaurant outside the north gate that’s very authentic."

The downside of the half-basement rooms was poor lighting and dampness, but for Run Sheng and Yin Meng, these weren’t problems at all. If they couldn’t handle a bit of dampness, they wouldn’t make good Corpse Recovery Divers.

Tan Wenbin was particularly satisfied with the rooms here. If he didn’t have to accompany Xiao Yuan back to the dorm, he’d truly want to sleep here too, as he was used to sleeping in a coffin after all this time.

Actually, if not for considering that Yin Meng was female, someone like Run Sheng could totally move into the dorm directly, just slip a little something to the dorm manager aunt, and as for the student council bed checks, who cares about them?

The little black dog at home had grown up too, but it still ate and slept all day, living the retirement life even earlier than Li Sanjiang.

Run Sheng unloaded it along with its cage from the truck and moved it into his room in the basement.

They exited the north gate and arrived at the Sichuan restaurant, where a big sign read "Old Sichuan" and a smaller one said "Wanzhou Grilled Fish."

Though it was the holiday season, there were still several tables occupied, which was quite an achievement for a restaurant near the school.

On the nearby street, most places were closed and wouldn’t open until the students came back for the new term.

When Xue Liangliang entered, the owner’s family and their daughter and son-in-law came out to greet them warmly.

Yin Meng was happy to hear the familiar dialect, so Xue Liangliang let her go to the kitchen to oversee the dishes.

Since it was still the off-season, the ingredients prepared weren’t many, and they couldn’t just order freely from the wall menu.

Tan Wenbin picked up the teapot on the table and poured water for everyone, then asked Xue Liangliang, "Brother Liang, you must be a regular here."
