{Alicia’s POV}

"Ahhhhhh! Arhhghhhg!! I hate her!! Ahhhhh!!! I hate her so much!!!" I scream and scream in anger as everything that happened tonight replays in my head!

I’ve never been so humiliated in my life!! To think something like that would happen to me!! Me!

My first plan was to make her jealous and doubt her husband’s fidelity, but then instead of being jealous that I was somehow in possession of her husband’s clothing, she seemed too relax. In fact it seemed she was even mocking me!

I couldn’t take it when it seemed like she was pointing me out to be the weird one, so I decided to paint Duke Grand black in the eyes of the people sitting around us and just when I thought I was winning, just when I thought I had the victory, she brought out those videos!

I thought at the end of the night, I would be the one standing tall with a smile on my face.

However much to my surprise and anger, the one not only smiling but laughing maniacally was Champagne!!

"Ahhhh!" And on top of that mom slapped me in front of all those people!!!

"Mom! You were supposed to take my side!!" I run after her as we walk into our home. "You were supposed to be on my side!! How could you embarrass me in front of her!!!" I scream louder. The fact that she slapped me made everything look even worse! It made it look as though what I had done was bad!

What exactly did I do wrong to deserve such a slap? Is it my fault that Champagne played that video for everyone to watch? I mean, to be honest, what exactly did I do wrong?

If anyone deserved a slap it was Champagne who embarrassed us all! And mother who could not even control the security in her own party! She should have stopped champagne from playing that video!

I had planned everything so brilliantly! I thought like most men, Duke would not tell his wife about his encounter with me leaving room for suspicions when I presented his coat to her with a little lie backing it! That was the plan! That was the damn plan and yet! Everything went away just like that!

"Me? Embarrass you?" Mom scoffs as she annoyingly sinks into a chair. I mean why does she looked so pissed when I was the one who was slapped? "You were already doing a great job of not only embarrassing yourself but embarrassing me as well!"

"Mom!" How can she say that to her own child?

"Shut up you brat! How could you pull such a stunt at my party?!" She yells! Why is she blaming me? I was only doing anything possible to tear him and her apart.

"Weren’t you the one who asked me to win him over?!" I ask.

"I told you to win the man over and not embarrass yourself and your entire family in front of business associates!" She yells and rises to her feet.

"How could you pull such a dumb stunt without even doing so much as clear out all the evidence!" So that’s what she’s angry about?

"And what was that nonsense about a coat?! If you were trying to make it seem as though you were having a rendezvous with Duke grand you should have at least done it properly!"

Could I have done it any better? Everything was planned perfectly, I just didn’t expect those things to happen. How could I have known that she would do that to me?

"I had it planned perfectly!" I yell back angrily.

"I thought Duke wouldn’t tell Champagne about his meeting with me! So I was going to use that against him!"

"And that is where you were wrong! Believing that just like most men, Duke Grand would keep secrets from his wife!"

"But you always say all men are the same!"

Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be? All men are the same. Then if all men are the same shouldn’t they think the same? In a case like this how Duke acted is the total opposite of what I had expected a man would do.

"I thought he would be the same! I had believed he wouldn’t be able to talk to her about meeting me because he wouldn’t want her to think that there’s anything between us. That’s what I believed! Who would have known that the man was a loud mouth who could not keep a little secret to himself, huh? To think he went and told her! And since when did Champagne get so smart? Huh?! How did she think of collecting all that footage?"

I was beyond shocked that she had not only gathered footage from the airport and the plane but other times that I had approached Duke. How the heck did she even collect them?

"And how didn’t you think of it? Huh?!" Why is this woman tackling me?!

"Why would any normal person go about collecting footage of their husband’s outings? Isn’t that what a stalker would do?" I mean, a normal wife wouldn’t do that would she?

"How does that matter? All that matters is that she managed to not only humiliate you, but also put you out as a woman who flirts with married men."

"D_darling," My father finally speaks. Sometimes I really forget this man exists. I wonder what he wants to say now.

"I think you should both stop now. I mean, you’ve already collected everything from champagne. You got what you wanted, she is no longer in the family register. She is out of the family business and out of thee family forever. I think it’s time to let her go. Alicia, don’t you think you’ve taken enough from Champagne already? What more could you need?"

"Honey, what are you even saying?"

"Yes dad, what the heck are you saying? If you don’t have anything useful to contribute to this discussion can you just please shut up? Why would you open your mouth and say something useless like that?"
