Conquering His Cold Heart
Chapter 481 - 481: Tea Set

Anastasia continued to roam around the town. She was still not satisfied with the things that she bought for Caspian.

She wanted the gifts to hold some deep meaning but all she had bought until now were decorative items like paintings and vases, and some pieces of clothing which she wasn't sure if Caspian would ever wear them.

'Something that holds meaning…'

She sighed as she wandered along the roads, looking left and right at the shops.

After taking a few turns, she came across a dark alleyway. She would have usually avoided such paths but she saw a lot of people standing on the other side of the alleyway. They seemed to be checking out something interesting.

"Do you know what they are selling there?" She asked Isaac after realizing that there is a shop in that building across the alleyway.

Isaac focused his ears and then answered after hearing some people, "I think they are selling ceramic wares, Your Majesty."

Anastasia's eyes instantly brightened up when she heard that. "I bet I can finally find something perfect for Caspian!" she mumbled to herself, already having something in mind, and rushed down the alleyway.

Isaac calmly followed the Queen while also staying extra alert. He stopped and stood in a little shaded place near the shop, not wanting to attract the crowd's attention.

Anastasia's heart jumped with joy when she reached in front of the shop and got a glimpse of some tea wares on display.

'Perfect!' she smiled.

For a while, she stood behind the crowd while trying to figure out a way to get closer to the shop. As she did so, she could hear some gossip among the women.

"I never thought we would get to see such an extravagant shop here in Silver Keep."

"I heard that the Capital is full of such shops. I also heard that the owner of this particular shop has several outlets in the Capital too."

"Does that mean that it is… owned by a vampire?"

From the sound of it, it looked like the shop was newly opened in this part of the town.

'So, I didn't need to come all the way here to Silver Keep, huh…' Anastasia pursed her lips.

However, since she was already here, Anastasia squeezed her way through the crowd of other housewives who also seemed to be interested in buying the wide variety of high-quality ceramic wares.

"How may I help you, Milady?" one of the shop's staff immediately came to Anastasia's aide after seeing her dressed in the most exquisite gown.

Anastasia gave a bright smile to the polite woman and replied, "Will you show me the most beautiful tea set? If it comes with a teapot, it is even better."

"Yes, of course. This way, please." The lady led Anastasia deeper inside the shop where they dealt with customers who appeared to be from the upper class.

After Anastasia took a seat, the lady brought and showed Anastasia a range of tea sets.

Some were rose golden in color with pink flowers painted on them, some had simple bodies but their handles had very intricate designs painted in gold, while some had hand-carved elaborate patterns on them.

"Do you like any of them, Milady?" the lady asked in her delicate voice.

Anastasia flashed a smile at her and replied, "All of them look so beautiful. I can't seem to decide."

The shop staff then took out another set and said, "How about this one, Milady?"

Anastasia's eyes immediately twinkled with approval.

That particular set was rich white in color. It had elaborate hand-carved patterns of vines, painted in gold, around the borders of cups, saucers, and the teapot. The base of the cups and teapot had designs that were painted in vibrant emerald green color, the same color as her eyes. Not just that, the center of the teapot had small red flowers hanging down from the vines.

Those flowers matched Caspian's eye color.

"This one is perfect!" Anastasia declared with excitement. She looked at the lady and asked her, "Please pack them for me."

After closing the deal, Anastasia happily stepped out of the shop. She was being followed by the shop staff who helped her safely carry the tea set out of the crowded store.

"Didn't you find anything worth buying?" Isaac asked Anastasia as soon as she stepped out of the crowd.

Anastasia gave him a wide smile and replied, "Actually I did." She gestured at the lady behind her and asked Isaac, "Carry that for me, will you?"

Isaac immediately took the bag while the lady was busy looking into his eyes, trying to figure out why a vampire dressed in royal guards' uniform would follow a human's order.

Until she realized that she had just sold a tea set to the Queen, both Anastasia and Isaac had disappeared into the dark alleyway.

"How about we return to the castle now, Your Majesty?" Isaac asked Anastasia after reaching the other side of the alleyway.

Anastasia happily nodded and said, "Okay. We can go back now. I think I found what I was looking for."

Isaac was very relieved to hear that.

The two of them began to make their way back toward the entrance of the town where the carriage was waiting for them.

After walking for what felt like several hours, Anastasia suddenly stopped on the track. Though it had just been around fifteen minutes since she left the ceramic shop, she had indeed walked around for hours today.

"How far is the entrance anyway? I don't think I can walk any further," she complained to Isaac.

Isaac was glad that the Queen voiced her pain instead of forcing herself to walk. "Shall I ask Benjamin to bring the carriage here?"

"I think that's a wonderful idea," Anastasia replied while breathing heavily.

She only realized she was extremely tired after finally buying the perfect gift. She was pushing through her limit just so that she could please her husband. She didn't regret pushing herself though.

"Why don't we wait somewhere first? Let's wait for John. I will find a place for you to sit," Isaac said while darting his eyes around.

Suddenly, something clicked in Anastasia's mind after recognizing a shop's sign that was on the opposite side of the road. And she asked Isaac, "Isn't Doctor Carl's clinic somewhere around here? If it's close by, I would like to visit that place."
