“Because she isn’t your daughter at all!” Jeremy roared, interrupting Lillian, he was trembling with anger, his face gloomy as he spat out his words, “Lillian! Xaviera is not your biological daughter, on what grounds do you force her to marry?”

“She doesn’t carry the Hughes family’s blood, nor was she raised by the Hughes family, on what grounds should she be subjected to your coercion?”

Jeremy’s roar echoed through the silent living room, everyone held their breath. Their expressions froze for a moment, then turned to look at Jeremy in surprise.
