Chapter 30: Chapter 30: Justice Served

His hand clamped around my wrist as he led me toward the staircase tucked in the corner of the bar.

“Where are we going?” I asked, trying to sound casual even though my voice shook. Warning bells started to ring in my head. “Mindie... Mindie is waiting for me.”

“I’m bringing you upstairs,” Alpha Bryson said gently with a smile that made my stomach turn. “Thought we could go somewhere quieter for you to take a little break.”

“No...” I insisted, trying to glance over my shoulder for any glimpse of Mindie, but my vision was slowly becoming blurry. “I want to stay here.”

“Your friend will be fine,” he said easily. His grip shifted to the small of my back, stroking my skin through the fabric of my blouse with deliberate intent as he half-carried me up the stairs. “You’ve had a long day. Let me help you unwind.”

“Let go of me,” I said quietly, trying to struggle out of his hold, but it was futile. My arms and legs felt like lead. My body wasn’t cooperating with me. At this very moment, I had the strength and coordination of a newborn pup.

Alpha Bryson merely chuckled. “I would, but you can hardly stand. I wouldn’t want a top student like you to damage your lovely mind.”

As if to prove his point, he deliberately loosened his grip, causing my foot to slip at the top stair. He caught me easily, but his hand slid too far, grabbing and squeezing my ass. To my horror, I was feeling a strange, needy warmth bloom from his actions.

He pulled me flush against him, and a whimper escaped my lips at the skin contact.

“You see?” he whispered against my hair. “You feel it too.”

I froze. My mouth opened, but nothing came out. I wanted to push him. Scream or do something.

But my body...just wouldn’t.

The hallway spun around me.

I didn’t even realize when Bryson’s arm slid fully around my waist, or when my legs stopped working right. One moment, I was trying to walk. The next, he scooped me up like I weighed nothing.

“Let...let go... ” I slurred, my head lolling against his chest. I tried to sound threatening, but my voice barely carried past my lips.

“Shh... Just helping you lie down. You need rest.” He grinned like this was some kind of game.

“No... I need... I need to find Mindie,” I mumbled, struggling weakly.

He carried me up a second set of stairs I hadn’t even noticed earlier, his hands not staying where they should. One slid along my thigh, stroking the soft skin underneath my skirt. The other pressed against my chest.

I wanted to fight back. But it was like I was underwater, slow, heavy, and sinking.

“Go away,” I whispered, barely able to lift my head.

“I told you,” he said softly. “I’ve got you.”

He pushed open a door and stepped inside. The room was dim, the air heavy with cologne and something musty. My heart pounded even though my limbs refused to cooperate with me.

“Please,” I tried again, but my voice cracked. “Don’t...”

He laid me on the bed like I was a precious doll, brushing my hair from my face. He tucked it behind my ear.

“You’ll feel better soon, just relax,” Bryson murmured, already unbuttoning my blouse. He whistled appreciatively at the sight of my breasts, clad in my bra. He squeezed them eagerly, and I would shudder if I could move my body. “I knew you were gifted.”

His hands then tugged at my skirt down my legs, leaving me in my underwear.

I tried to roll over. To crawl away. But my body remained still and unmoving to my pleas for action.

“Stop,” I whimpered. “Please, don’t do this.”

But he didn’t stop.

Then—

BANG!

The door slammed open so hard that the handle hit the wall.

“GET AWAY FROM HER!” Mindie’s voice cut through the haze like a blade.

Bryson froze, one hand still on my thigh.

He turned slowly, scowling. “We’re just talking. She’s had a little too much, that’s all.”

“She can’t even speak, you sick bastard!” Mindie shouted. “She’s drugged and you know it. Get away from her.”

“We’re consenting adults,” Alpha Bryson stated flatly, glaring at her coldly for daring to interrupt. All the gentleness he had when speaking to me was absent. ”You need to calm down and mind your own business.”

“She’s basically unconscious, you creep!” Mindie snapped. “She can’t consent to anything! Look at her, she can’t even speak.”

“She didn’t say no.” He shrugged, turning back toward me.

“I swear, if you touch her again, I’ll scream this place down,” Mindie warned, stepping into the room. “I’ll tell Alpha Laken—”

Then, in the blink of an eye, Alpha Bryson rushed toward her and slammed her face against the floor. I heard Mindie cry out in pain.

“No one invited you,” he snarled through gritted teeth. “But since you’re so desperate to be involved...”

He grabbed her by the arm and yanked her up. Mindie kicked and shoved at him, shouting, clawing, trying to fight—but he was an Alpha. She could never beat him.

“Let go of me!” she screamed. “You’re a monster!”

“Relax,” Bryson sneered, dragging her toward the bed. “You wanted in, didn’t you?”

“No—stop!” I croaked, but my voice barely rose above a whisper.

I could only watch, frozen and powerless, as Mindie struggled against him, teeth gritted and eyes wild.

And all I could think was that I had to do something. Anything.

Even if my body wouldn’t move, my mind screamed.

Please...someone help us.

Everything felt far away, like I was in a bubble. But I heard voices. Low, fuzzy, and angry.

Then the door slammed open.

Heavy footsteps thundered across the room.

And then, a deep, furious voice echoed through the walls.

“Get away from her.”

The air shifted.

Alpha Bryson chuckled. “Alpha Laken,” he drawled, like he was greeting a friend at a party. “Didn’t expect you here, but hey, there’s enough to go around. Take your pick.”

Silence.

Then the sound of knuckles meeting bones echoed across the room. Something heavy slammed into the wall.

A groan followed.

“Alpha Gareth!” Mindie’s voice cracked with panic. “He...he was trying to—she’s not even awake—”

“I know,” Gareth said, voice like steel. “I saw enough.”

I forced my eyes open. Just barely. The room swayed, but through the blur, I saw him.

Gareth’s eyes found mine for a split second, and then they moved downward, taking in everything.

My body lying spread out on the bed, clad only in my undergarments. My blouse was undone and my skirt hung by my ankles

Gareth’s entire body went still and tense. His Beta stood behind him, stone-faced and silent.

I couldn’t speak, but I could feel his anger. Fury. Rage. Possessiveness. It rolled off him in waves.

Bryson was slumped against the wall, blinking in shock with blood at the corner of his mouth.

“You dragged her up here and undressed her while she was half-conscious,” Gareth growled, his tone deadly calm. “And then you thought you’d offer her up like she was nothing?”

Bryson coughed. “Wait—hold on—I didn’t know—”

“You knew she couldn’t say no,” Gareth snapped, stepping forward.

The pressure in the room dropped.

Bryson gasped, falling to his knees, overwhelmed by Gareth’s aura.

“Look at her,” Gareth demanded coldly. “Does she look conscious to you?”

Bryson didn’t answer.

“You’re done,” Gareth continued. “As of now, you’re stripped of your title. I’ll make sure the Council knows exactly what happened here.”

I let out a weak breath. My eyes burned with tears I couldn’t hold back.

Mindie rushed to my side, pulling off her jacket and wrapping it around me. Her voice trembled as she whispered, “You’re okay now. He’s here. You’re safe.”
