"I thought you forgot your only sister Xavier" Alice looked at her brother who ignored her complaint and rather focus on the food in front of him.

Alice fumed when he didn’t answer her and continued," Now you won’t talk to me," she asked slamming her fork back on the plate.

Xavier was her uncle’s son who took over his business in corporate and had been urging millions since then. Being the only child he too had no choice but to follow in his father’s footsteps and increase their business.

Finally lifting his head he saw his sister glaring at him and he wiped his mouth before speaking," What do you want me to talk about when you didn’t even inform me about your problem Alice? My sister is been suffering sleeping disorder and instead of her informing me about it I get to learn it from my investigator"

Xavier was very protective of Alice and had been keeping tabs on her every movement. After she left the mansion he tried to convince her to return but she had already made up her mind and he didn’t argue further.

Alice pursed her lips and lower her head. She didn’t know he would come to find out about her health issue because she didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for her.

Ashley had been by her side when she face panic attacks and the sedative given by the doctor helped her in many ways. But still, her nightmares didn’t stop there. She was an insomniac and could sleep at night but when she did her nightmares would start haunting her.

Xavier watched her turn silent fumed and asked," Now talk something dammit" his little stern voice made her flinch and she raised her head to look at his furious gaze.

"First tell me you won’t scold me" she pouted her lips and forwarded her pink finger just to stop him from scolding her.

Xavier rolled his eyes and heaved out a sigh," You are impossible" he said in defeat and agreed with her.

Alice told him everything and saw his face turn darker. Xavier fumed in anger and fisted his palm," How can Uncle be so careless" he couldn’t control his anger after what he heard.

"I need to talk to my uncle about it," Xavier was serious with what he said and looked very determined to face his uncle.

"You think I didn’t try to tell him" her words made him frown.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"He doesn’t give a f**k," she said and picked up the spoon and started eating the food.

Xavier was confused by her calm demeanor and asked," He didn’t believe you" he just fluke and saw her shrug her shoulder.

"God... is he really your father" Xavier couldn’t believe his own uncle didn’t trust his own daughter.

"I don’t expect anything either from them. Mom too supports him" she said.

Xavier knew his uncle was a greedy man but after whatever happened he expected him to at least support his daughter.

He could only shake his head in disbelief and enjoy his time with his sister.

After having the food Xavier drove Alice to her apartment. Since he already knew the address he didn’t ask her nor did she tell him.

Stopping in front of the building Xavier turn at Alice who was unfastening her seatbelt and said," You know you can talk with me anytime" Xavier caressed her hair and smiled.

His father owned his mansion because he never had a good relationship with Alice’s father. Even being blood-related they didn’t bat an eye at each other. But when Xavier’s father Theon found out about Alice living alone he immediately asked Xavier to bring her to stay with him but after knowing how stubborn his sister was he didn’t force her and instead kept an eye on her.

Alice nodded her head and stepped out of the car heading inside the building. She entered the elevator and tap the floor button and watch the door slide when someone blocked it.

Looking at the person Alice frowned and she covered her nose.

Noah stumbled on his foot when he stepped inside. His eyes were unfocused but he recognized the woman in front of him.

"Alice..." he smiled and took a step towards her and stumbled on her.

"Noah... careful" she held him and saw him smile like a fool.

Alice helped him to stand on his feet and wrapped her one arm around his waist.

"How much you had to drink?" she asked looking up at his flushed face.

"Drink?.. I didn’t drink" he said and smiled.

Alice faked a smile and nod her head. This man was so high that he didn’t even realize what he was talking about. She didn’t ask him anymore and waited for them to reach the floor.

The door opened and she dragged Noah along with her only to get breathless as his body weight was too much for a fragile girl like her.

"Noah walk straight" she warned and shot a glare at him.

Noah saw her angry look, pouted like a cute pup, and removed her hand trying to stand steady on his foot.

"Why can’t you talk sweetly with me?" his voice sounded like a wounded person and his eyes looked at her with sadness.

Alice found him acting strange all of sudden and before she could get to answer him, he held her wrist pulling her closer to him.

"You couldn’t stop smiling in front of that guy and with me, you are always indifferent why?" he didn’t know why her being with some other guy affected him so much that he ended up drinking thinking about them.

Yes after driving away from her studio building he drove to the club to clear his mind. He wanted to vent his frustration by hooking up with a girl that would catch his attention but everything turned opposite.

All he did was drink until his mind turned foggy. Leave a girl he didn’t even pay attention to anyone who approached him.

Alice felt weird when she found them extremely close. It wasn’t that she was shy or something but the way he looked at her spoke questions to her and she didn’t have anything to answer.

’What is he talking’ she thought and looked at him who was slowly on the verge of passing out on her.

"Wait.... wait" her scream woke him up and he looked at her in a daze.

"Don’t pass out on me" she said and help him stand straight before she wrapped his arm around her shoulder and steadied him by circling her arm around his waist.

She helped him walk until they reach his apartment and she turned to ask him to unlock the door. But when she looked at him he was already leaning on her with his eyes close.

"Noah... get up" she screeched and tried to wake him but he was so soundly sleeping that she felt like crying.

’Now what was she supposed to do’

Alice couldn’t just leave him here in this state so she thought of bringing him into her apartment.

Dragging Noah’s heavy body, Alice bought him into her house and made him lay on her bed which seem too small for his tall frame.

"Why does he have to be so tall?" she complained when she saw his legs came out from the bed’s edge.

Adjusting the duvet on his body Alice was about to leave when she was pulled down by her wrist and she down on Noah," Don’t go.." she heard him mutter in his sleep and his hold around her tightened.

Alice pursed her lips when his breath fanned her face and she gulped down. Her heart began to pump all of sudden and she turned her head to find him close to her.

"Is he really sleeping?" she muttered and brought her hand up and poked his cheeks and when he didn’t respond she sighed in relief.

Alice slowly tried to get out of his grip but failed when he pulled her closer to him. Tired of the struggle Alice laid next to him and tried to calm her breath that had fastened due to the strength she applied to get out of his embrace.

She didn’t realize when she fell asleep until the morning sun hit the horizon.

Noah was fast asleep when suddenly someone choked him.

"GASP!!!"

Snap opening his eyes he saw a hand land on his throat. He threw it away and pulled himself up sat straight on the bed and began to cough.

"What the hell yo-" his voice died in his throat when he turned and saw who was the person next to him. His entire body froze and his eyes popped out from the socket watching Alice sleeping like a dead log next to him and that too on his bed.

’Wait this isn’t my bed. Holy shit where am I...’ he cursed and looked around finding himself in an unfamiliar place when he heard her moan.
