Noah glared at the girl who was about to curse but swallowed back her words when she saw his piercing eyes.

She composed herself and turned to speak to him but stopped when he speak instead," Tell me what’s your problem hah? Can’t you for once agree with me when I ask you properly? Why do you always have to question my kindness... Tell me" Noah lashed out without holding back his anger.

Walking out after taking a shower Karl thought to do some reviewing about the next day’s schedule. He tidied his study table and started working when his phone screen blinked.

Initially, he wanted to ignore it but when he saw the name that flash on it, he retreated from his thought and picked up his phone, unlocking it.

Just when he thought to keep back his phone it began to ring and the person to call was non-other than Gwen.

Karl’s heart soften at her words and he opened his mouth to say something when he was again cut.

"I know I am an idiot who doesn’t even know when and where to speak. I should have asked you once before assuming everything on my own, but this stupid mouth of mine doesn’t stop speaking rubbish. I know it’s too late to apologize but Mr. Assistant can you please consider it once I promise... I won’t mess up next time" she finally stopped running out of breath.

Karl blinked his eyes as he tried to register her fast-forward words. She spoke like a bullet train that had no halt in between. Even his ear turned numb holding the phone close to it.

She knew she had screwed up and it wasn’t something anyone could let go of. But him being upset with her was something she didn’t wanted to happen.
