Tristan was about to take her silence as a yes when suddenly Ashley spoke from the other side.

"No need to come here. You will only end up distracting me further" Her rejection hurt Tristan even more and he simply slumped back on his chair again letting a pout out.

"You surely know how to spoil the mood" he complained.

"Who said I spoiled the mood? In fact, I never said yes. You assumed it all by yourself" Ashley said in her defense.

Though she was missing Tristan, that didn’t mean she would ask him to leave his work and drive to her as soon as possible. The man had barely shown his face in the company, neglecting his work just to be with her the entire time.

And now when he is finally at his work as the CEO, she couldn’t get selfish and distract him.

"Still, you shouldn’t have rejected me so harshly. Wifey, it hurts" Tristan wasn’t going to stop nagging. He was looking forward to crashing into the set and surprising his wife, but her rejection left him cold.

"Anyways, now stop feeling sad. How about you come to pick me up after the shooting is over" she suggested and his mood instantly changed.

"Hmm... it sounds good. In that way, I can flaunt you even more. Now that everyone already knows we are married. I can wait to publicly adore you"

Ashley could help but smile at his words. This husband of hers was like a teenager who liked doing stuff that youngsters do. Not that she minds. Instead, she loved every side of his.

In fact, even she didn’t mind flaunting their relationship. Calling him hubby publicly sounded so soothing to her heart that she didn’t care what the rumors say.

She had never cared about what people talked about her, but when it came to Tristan she can’t stand the words they would throw at him and that same goes with Tristan.

If he wasn’t pissed about how the article was written, she wouldn’t have agreed with him on giving an interview to clear all the air.

[Noah’s Mansion]

After having another splendid night, Alice and Noah refuse to leave the bed. Snoozing the alarm for god knows how many times, Noah finally turned off his cell phone from causing any disturbance.

Another couple of minutes passed when Alice suddenly jerked from her sleeping. Covering her mouth, she climbed down the bed and dashed inside the bathroom.

Noah propped his head up, half awake, and heard the loud bang of the door. Confused he quickly got up and sprinted towards the bathroom ready to barge in, but finding the doo close he groaned.

"Alice.. is everything alright? Are you sick" he shouted from outside but hearing the sound of her throwing up, stopped him from yelling.

Did know why but Noah had a feeling something wasn’t right. Standing outside, he waited for her anxiously and when the door finally opened, he watched the pale Alice stepping out.

"Babe, what’s wrong? Do you have an upset stomach?" Noah asked remembering they had fried chicken the other night.

Alice was suddenly craving them so he quickly ordered them for her and to his shock she ended up finishing everything on her own.

"I don’t know what happened. I suddenly feel nauseous" Alice wiped her face with the towel in her hand and walked back towards the bed.

Sitting on the edge, she dropped her head down, feeling a little dizzy.

"Do you want to visit the doctor? You don’t seem fine at all" Noah asked sitting next to her.

He could still feel that she wasn’t okay even after throwing so much. The paleness on her face was scaring him.

Alice simply shook her head. "I don’t think it’s necessary. I will feel better after taking some rest" she suggested.

Noah contemplated for a few seconds but then followed her words. Helping her lay back on the bed, he slept next to her.

"Tell me if you still feel nauseous," he said and wrapped his arms around her, watching her close her eyes as she bobbed her head in agreement.

While Alice kept sleeping Noah was wide awake. He lost his sleep and now his mind was busy thinking about how Alice’s health deteriorated all of a sudden.

’Ah... could it be’ he suddenly squealed when a realization struck his mind, but sensing Alice’s presence, he slowly leaned back.

Noah was having second thoughts and if he happened to be right in guessing, he couldn’t wait to see Alice’s reaction.

Slowing turning around, he reached his hand and grabbed his cell phone, and made a call.

Alice finally woke up after two hours of sleep and the moment she opened her eyes, she couldn’t find Noah anywhere.

Knitting her brows, she pushed herself up. She remembered Noah was by her side when she fell asleep and now when she is awake, he is nowhere to be found.

Pulling off the duvet, Alice was about to climb down the bed when suddenly the door of their room flung open and Noah walked it.

The moment he noticed her climbing down the bed, he quickly dashed towards her in a hurry.

"Babe, you should’ve called me if you want anything" his words confused Alice for a moment.

Watching him place the bowl of soup on the side table and turned towards her, she snapped out of her trance.

"What, why are you staring at me like I have grown two horns on my head," he asked noticing the reluctant marred on her face.

He was already holding her hand helping her stand on her feet but her lack of response made him pause.

"Noah, are you okay? Why do I feel like you slept well last night" she asked finding his behavior way too strange.

Alice admitted she wasn’t feeling well but she wasn’t so down either that he literally had to take her anywhere inside the house.

"But babe, can’t we be cautious? What if you twist your leg while walking? I have to be with you everywhere" his words made her even more confused, but she quickly brushed off her thoughts and jerked his hand that was holding her arm.

"Don’t worry I am not a kid to twist my leg like that and what’s wrong with you, why are you acting so weird" She couldn’t stop her irritation and snapped, leaving Noah startle.
