Meanwhile Tristan and his force set off to the place where Ashley was being kept captive.

Riding on their respective boats, Tristan received a message from Sky and his eyes instantly turned dark listening to it.

"She is trying to run away" he muttered under his breath catching Patrick’s and Gabriel’s attention who were also connected to him.

Gabriel who was riding another boat, looked in a particular direction. His gawk-like eyes noticed something unusual and he quickly butted in.

"Let me handle her" he answered watching the two figures standing on the roof of the underwater basement.

Just as Tristan mentioned they seemed to be running away driving the boat floating on the water next to them.

Tristan noticed the seriousness in his tone and gave him a nod while Patrick who was still grasping his words felt a shiver run down his spine. But then he recalled the words he gave him and in the end, he could only watch Gabriel’s boat drive away from theirs.

Listening to her words Sky fumed. They sounded as if she was provoking him that he refuse to believe them. He could see that no matter how many times he would warn her she won’t give up.

"I am warning for the last time Sandra, give up or else I will have to shoot" Sky wasn’t going to go gentle on her knowing how wicked the lady was. He hand to put his guard up

Sandra smirked bringing her hands behind her back and pointing Lucas to jump on the count of three with her fingers.

Lucas slowly blinked his eyes getting her signal and slowly raised his hand.

Sky shrugged his shoulder when he watched them, raise their hands, and before he could put his guard down, Sandra pulled out a gun from her back pocket and shot right on his leg.

"Argh!"

Sandra smirked watching Sky fall to his knees, ready to shoot one more bullet but before she could press the trigger, she heard a shot out of nowhere.

"Aaah" snapping her head in the direction of the voice, Sandra watched Lucas whine in pain.

Her brows twitched when she noticed the blood oozing from his chest but before she could react, Lucas fell into the water.

Sandra’s blood ran dry at the scene and she turned around to see a boat approaching them and the person she noticed inside with his gun pointed at her left her horrified.

"Gabriel..." her voice cracked at the sight of his venomous gaze.

"Put the gun down Sandra... you are doomed" she heard Sky’s voice from the back and turned behind only to find their men too joining him with their guns pointing her way.

Sky stood on his feet. His face twitched with pain but he soon concealed it.

Now with everyone standing against her, Sandra felt like she had reached her end. Even if she attacks them, there was nothing much she could do. In the end, they will have her no matter what.

While her eyes were busy scanning the number of men, Gabriel took joined them.

"Give up Sandra... there is no way you would escape this time," Gabriel said slowly approaching her.

Sandra’s eyes darkened at his words. The man who claimed to love her was now standing against her. She thought brainwashing him would eventually lead her to her goals, but everything got ruined the day he learned her truth.

Gabriel was the only one who would dance on her finger, someone whom she could control. But now witnessing the hate in his eyes left her in cold.

"G-Gabriel... let me go" Brushing away all her fleeting thought, she tried warning him.

She knew her gun was filled with six bullets, with one used on Sky. Now she had only five more. Shooting him would only land her in trouble.

"What for?.. So you could destroy our lives again" Gabriel snapped, never falling for her again.

He made a mistake back then when he trusted her fake letter. He kept cursing himself for not helping her. But everything was a joke for her. Even her death was part of her plan.

Sandra stood stunned listening to venom-like words and that’s when she realized it was wasteful for her to keep any hopes from him.

While Gabriel was busy dealing with Sandra, Tristan entered the base along with Patrick. The first thing they did was rush to the medical room where Ashley was held captive.

Flung opening the door, they entered but the scene Tristan witnessed left him horrified.

Ashley laying on the bed with her face turning extremely pale, froze his heart. He saw a doctor examining her, checking her pulse which felt his blood dry.

"What’s wrong with her..." Ignoring his pain, he yelled sprinting toward her.

Reaching next to her, Tristan fell on his knees and cupped her face. "Ash... hey wake up. See I am here?" he tried calling her out but noticed how the color of her lips started to change something, he was alarmed.

Shooting his head in the doctor’s direction, Tristan flung at him grabbing his collar, and asked," What did you do to her?"

Tristan looked like a raging beast, ready to slaughter the man. When the doctor didn’t utter a word, he flung his attention toward Lingaa.

"What did you do to her," Tristan asked strangling the man, pressing his palm firmly around his neck until he heard him choke.

Lingaa who was confused witnessing the scene ahead, shook his denying his claim. "We didn’t do anything. I remember changing the drug she asked me to prepare. Anesthesia would never harm her" he answered in his defense.

Both Patrick and Lingaa shared a glance, unaware of what was happening around them. He had been very careful the entire time, then how everything seems so confusing.

Tristan didn’t know what he was talking jerked the doctor aside and dashed towards Lingaa grabbing his neck.

The doctor coughed falling on the floor but soon stood up and reached Ashley once again checking her pulse.
