Chapter 363: Taken by cops

[ Drink and Dine Bar]

Gabriel glanced at the man in front of him with his bloodshot eyes. He had been drowning himself in the pool of alcohol that he forgot the count of drinks he consumed.

"I told you to leave Max" he slurred and brought the glass in his hand closer to his lips and took a sip from the drink.

Max couldn’t handle the sight of his boss being all vulnerable and helpless. He knew Gabriel would only allow himself to drink to this extent when he isn’t able to handle emotional baggage.

"I can’t let you hurt yourself, boss. You have already had enough" Max kept his tone gentle and took a step to help Gabriel stand.

As if Gabriel had lost the strength to argue with anyone, he gulped the entire drink and let Max help him stand and they both walked out of the bar.

[Outside]

Tori was pacing back and forth next to their car, suddenly stopped when she saw Max carrying drunk Gabriel out of the bar. Her heart dropped into her stomach when she witness Gabriel in this helpless state. Guilt once again consumed her head but she decided not to let it appear on her face.

Shoving her thoughts aside, she quickly rushed to them and help Max by wrapping Gabriel’s one hand around her shoulder.

"Two is better than one," she said sharing a meaningful glance with Max and they both brought Gabriel towards the parked car.

Gabriel was partially awake when he watched Tori help him settle on the back seat and unknowingly he let out a chuckle.

"Tori..." he mumbled as he watched the young girl with his drowsy eyes and smiled.

Tori halted her move and looked at him with remorseful eyes. She didn’t know why but watching Gabriel this helpless broke her heart.

She then watched him turn his eyes away from her while he kept smiling. She wonder what was going on in his mind that he called her name so gently, but then it wasn’t right to stand and rack her brain when they were out in a public place.

Making sure he was fine, she then walked to the passenger seat and joined Max who was already sitting in the driver’s seat.

"Let’s go" Tori spoke after taking a deep breath while her eyes looked ahead.

Max watched her for a few seconds before he turned and started the car and soon they drove away.

[Hotel Suite]

The next morning, Natalie woke up on the couch with a terrible headache.

Last night she had enough of a drink and didn’t realize when she passed out. Holding her head she pushed herself to sit upright as she looked around to see Noah.

Natalie had no recollection from last night, all she remembered was spending some quality time with Noah while they both were having some drinks. But once alcohol started to affect her system, everything turn hazy after that and she didn’t remember what happened after that.

Climbing down from the couch she walked toward the bathroom hoping to find him inside but when she knocked on the door, no one answered back. She then pushed the door open and found the bathroom empty.

A creepy feeling started to urge in her heart when she didn’t find Noah anywhere. Quickly walking back towards the couch, she picked up her bag and pulled out her cell phone before she called Noah.

It kept ringing but Noah answered it and she started to feel uneasy. Her entire body turned cold and she picked up her bag and decided to leave the suite but the moment she opened the door her eyes popped out from her socket.

"C-cops" she muttered in disbelief.

"Miss Natalie Scott, you are under arrest" Natalie’s entire world turned upside down when the lady constable took a step closer to her and cuffed her hand.

It took her a while to understand what was happening when suddenly a tall figure immerge through the teams.

"Noah..." Natalie’s eyes widen in shock when Noah made his way to her and stood next to the head cop.

"Mr. Wayne rest assured, we won’t let her sneak away this time" the head cop muttered making Natalie frown at her words and she then turned her attention to Noah.

"Noah... what is all this nonsense. What is this woman talking about and why is she handcuffing me? Ask her to leave me right now" Natalie who was unaware of the things happening to her kept throwing tantrums.

She thought the cops had falsely cuffed her without having any proof against her but what she heard the next instant made her body still.

"This isn’t any nonsense going on Natalie. The cops are doing their work and now they are here to take you with them" Noah stood there with his hand shoved in his pocket while his eyes blankly looked at the girl ahead who was still behaving as if she didn’t know what she had done.

Natalie felt her blood run dry when she heard what Noah said. The pride in her eyes faltered and her lips started to tremble in fear.

"W-what are you talking Noah? I have done nothing wrong. She is accusing me falsely" Natalie tried to defend herself but little did she know, how badly she got trapped in this one.

Noah cocked his brow and the corner of his lips lifted up into a humorless smirk as he asked," You still not going to accept it, aren’t you?"

Natalie looked at him with confusion as she still played dumb, but when he pulled out his phone and pressed a certain button, the voice that started to play out of it made her eyes grow larger in shock.

’I was the one who hired a man to kill Alice because I wanted to separate you both but that bitch survived such a major accident threatening my life but fortunately, I had Avera who helped me clear all the evidence which also include the man I killed’

Natalie felt the ground under her feet slipping away and her legs wobbled to even stand straight. The more that voice spoke the more she realized it was none other than her who disclose all her wrongdoings.

Slowly moving her eyes from the phone to Noah she watched him look at her with detest and it was then she understood everything. It was all his plan to trap her in his lies so one day when she does believes him, he would make her spill everything.

Natalie’s eyes turned red and she gnashed her teeth questioning him," Why did you do this Noah" Her heart felt a pang at his betrayal but the man held no guilt.

"Because you deserve this Natalie and I wish the sentence you would receive for your crimes would be more worst than you could’ve ever imagined" Noah held no emotions for her because this was nothing as compared to what she did to Alice and he will make sure she rots inside the prison for her entire life.

Natalie watched Noah and soon broke into a pit of laughter. "You think you will be able to keep in the prison for too long, then you are wrong Noah. My dad and Avera will get me out and when I return I will make sure to kill that bitch way more worst"

Noah’s deadpan eyes turned extremely cold the moment Alice’s name escaped her lips. "I wish there will be anyone who can help you out Natalie because the one you are hoping for, will also be joining you" The smile on her face dropped and she asked," W-what do you mean?"

"You and Avera, you both are going to rot in prison for the crimes you’ve done. You both are doomed" His mocking words made her entire world crumble down and she shook her head as reality struck her damn hard.

"N-no... this can happen. How can she... no you can’t do this to me, Noah. You said you like me" Natalie lost her mind, denying the fact that it was just a trap.

"Take her" Without paying attention to her words, Noah asked the cops to take her away.

"Noah.. please don’t do this to me. I love you... please Noah" Natalie kept yelling at the top of her lungs but no one heard her and just like that she was dragged away by the cops.

When everything around silenced Noah’s face turned sullen as he gripped his phone and mumbled. " Now there is only one person left whom I would like to deal with on my own" With an evil glint passing through his gaze Noah made his way out of the hotel and hopped into his car and drove to his destination.
