Chapter 347: Unfinished job

Paleness engulfed Alice’s entire being making her breathing stop. Every memory from her past came flashing through her mind and she stumbled onto her feet but before she could hit the ground, she quickly balanced herself.

Her eyes moved towards Brooke as she watched him make his way toward her and as if an adrenaline pump rushed through her veins, Alice quickly unlocked her car and opened the door to get in.

Thud!...

"Where do you think you are going Alice" Before she could enter the car, Brooke marched towards her and shut the car’s door taking Alice by surprise.

Alice quickly took a few steps back the moment she felt him closer to her. "W-what do you want Brooke" Though Alice was scared to face him, she didn’t want to allow him to look down at her.

She wanted to fight back her fears and shove her demons in the back of her head. She would never let them surface again just because the darkest phase of her life appeared in front of her.

Brooke was amused with the way Alice questioned him back. He thought she would get scared of him but to his surprise, she was trying to fight back her angst keeping her head high.

"The little kitten finally dares to speak back, huh" Broke took a step closer to her and watched her take a step back.

Smirking internally, Brooke rested his hand on the top of her car and leaned aside as he observed her wholly. She was just as tempting as she was that night, but unfortunately, he wasn’t able to satisfy his needs for her.

"You are still as beautiful as you were that night" He didn’t bother to hide his desires and spat it like a shameless man as he was.

"But unfortunately, I missed tasting this exceptional beauty" he further added.

Alice scrunched her nose in disgust. She loathed this man who tried to taint her innocence by forcing his masculinity on her but thanks to Ashley who came at the right time and saved her from this monster.

Brooke noticed the detested look in Alice’s eyes and smiled. He reached his hand to touch her face but stopped when she looked around flinching away from his filthy hands from touching.

"Don’t. touch. me" Alice warned him but Brooke being the unashamed one laughed at her.

Lifting his hand in defeat, he said," Don’t worry I won’t touch you, at least not for now but I can’t promise about the future" His words made Alice look at him. A deep crease formed on her forehead as she watched him with pure hate.

"That future you won’t be able to see it because I will be calling the cops now" Alice mumbled and shoved her hand inside her handbag to take out her cell phone but before she could make a call her body was pinned against the car with Brooke’s face just an inch apart of hers.

The impact of the pull was so strong that the phone in her hand fell to the ground and her eyes watched him in shock.

"Let.. me go..." Alice wriggled in his grip trying to free herself but failed when his breath fanned her face and she felt like a thousand ants crawling over her body.

She was disgusted by his touch that she wanted to peel her skin off.

Brooke was enjoying the fear dripping down her actions and the shivering of her voice gave him pleasure.

"Just like this... you will ask me to fuck you" he said twisting her wrist until she yelled. "Help....somebody please help..."

Alice started to shout, and that alerted Brooke. Looking his eyes around he found the guards walking toward them and the very next second he let go of her hands.

"I will leave for now but let me tell you one thing, Alice. I will soon come after you to finish my unfinished job" With that he turned and disappeared into the dark.

Alice could only stare in the direction from where he was gone until she heard one of the guard’s voices.

" Madam is everything alright" the worried voice snapped her out of her trance and she turned to look at the two guards who stood next to her.

"I-It’s nothing, I thought I saw a snake here but now he is gone" Alice lied as she looked the same way before she turned her eyes on the guards.

"I am sorry, I panicked and bothered you both" Alice apologized to the guards and stepped into the car before driving away.

She didn’t dare to slow down her car, as her mind was still busy recalling the words Brooke said before he left. ’I will come after you to finish my unfinished job’

The words themselves were haunting making her reminisce about the terror she went through in those few hours.

Reaching the residential building, Alice rode the elevator and stepped out once she reached the floor.

She just wanted to get into her house and isolate her until she felt better, but little did she know someone was already waiting for her arrival.

The moment, she entered the house and turned to close the door a pair of strong arms picked her up from the ground, taking her by surprise.

"Ahh...." Alice yelled but the second she saw who the person was, her eyes bulged out from her socket.

"Noah... what are you doing here. You shouldn’t be walking into my house just like that.." Alice wriggled into his hold begging him to put her down but the man was too ignorant to even listen to her plea.

"Our house, it’s our house" Noah corrected her as he carried her deeper into the living room.

Once they reached the couch, Noah placed Alice down and slumped next to her like a naughty kid.

Alice eyed Noah grumpily and tried to get up but he pulled her down back on the couch. "Where are you going?" he asked holding her wrist and the next second he heard her hiss.

A frown marred his face and he quickly let go of her hand before he straightened up himself on the couch and watched her rub her wrist.

"Alice what-" Noah stopped himself from speaking when his eyes caught the bruise around her wrist and he quickly caught hold of her hand but this time he was very gentle.

"How did this happen?" he asked looking back and forth between her hand and her face.

Alice’s eyes widen when she listened to him inquire about the bruise on her wrist. She thought she would manage to hide it from Noah but it was too late before she could come up with an excuse.

"I... " Alice tried to speak as she watched Noah get up from his seat and head towards the kitchen.

’Should I tell him, Brooke, again tried to scare me’

Alice knew Noah already had many things to deal with and Brooke’s topic was one of the most sensitive ones as it ends up triggering his anger in no time. If she happens to tell him what he did with her, he will erupt his anger which would lead him to do things he isn’t supposed to.

But she also couldn’t keep these things from her. What if he comes to find out about it from outside?

Alice was in a big dilemma and forget to notice that Noah had returned with an ice pack in his hand. It was the sense of the coldness on her wrist that broke her thoughts and she flinch in pain.

"Ouch... that hurts" Alice cried when she felt the pain.

At first, she didn’t pay much attention to her wrist but now that she saw how purple it had turned and how painful it was she realized how firmly Brooke had held her and not to forget even twisted.

"Sorry... sorry" Noah pursed his lip into a thin line before he leaned and started blowing on her hand.

Once the pain subsided, Noah opened the first aid box and applied the ointment around her wrist.

"You don’t need to do anything. I will help you get changed" Noah said keeping the medicine back into the first aid box and then turned to look at her.

Alice was smiling all the time. The pain she felt subsided the moment he started pampering her like a mother taking care of her child.

She was so busy admiring him that she shoved off all the words he said and bobbed her head like a fool. "Okay," she answered.

Amused by her reaction, Noah understood that Alice didn’t listen to any of his words as she was busy staring at him and that made him take the advantage of the situation.

"Okay then" heaving out a sigh, Noah picked Alice up once again and carried her into the bedroom.

The moment he closed the door behind them and made Alice stand on her feet with him reaching his hands to unzip her dress, that’s when she snapped out of her beautiful thoughts.

"Ah... Noah... what are you doing?" his words earlier rushed through her mind and she pushed him away before he could undress her.
