Chapter 308: Soon confess her feelings

The next day Sandra reached the University and saw a few cops interrogating Alexa’s friends. Avoiding them, she quickly entered the building and headed to the class.

Her mind was not at peace since yesterday night. She kept scolding herself for being so reckless that she took someone’s life.

With the same distraught thoughts, she entered the class when suddenly Gabriel jumped out of nowhere scaring the hell out of her.

"Scared you" he playfully teased her but that didn’t go well with Sandra as she snapped at him catching everyone’s eye on them.

"Gabriel, what kind of behavior is this?" her voice roared inside the class and everything turned quiet for some time.

"Just because I don’t say anything, it doesn’t mean you can keep behaving like a child around me. Grow up!" Sandra was so mad that she didn’t hold back her anger and kept scolding Gabriel.

Gabriel blinked his eyes as he stared at Sandra who seemed a little different today. This was the first time she raised her voice at him and it somewhat hurt him, but he quickly conceal his sadness and smiled.

"I am sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you" he reached his hand to touch her but she just rolled her eyes and walked past him.

She wasn’t in good mood because of whatever was happening around them. She thought maybe being with her friends would somehow help her forget a few things or at least ease her mind, but she was wrong.

She shouldn’t have come here in the first place, she thought as she took the seat.

Gabriel stood there with a dumb expression on his face.’ What’s wrong with her’ he thought as he watched Sandra’s disturbed face. The second he snapped out of his thoughts, he saw numerous eyes staring at him and that made him realize, how he was humiliated by Sandra in front of everyone.

Clearing his throat, he quickly marched to her and took a seat. This time he didn’t speak a word for a few minutes but when he sensed even she wasn’t ready to start a conversation, he let go of the silence and decided to initiate the talk.

Turning around he looked at her as he watched her staring at the book in front of her eyes, but even after so many minutes passed she didn’t turn the page.

Resting his hand on her shoulder, he watched her flinch at his touch and she snapped her head in his direction. Her eyes held some kind of fear that he wasn’t able to understand and that’s when he asked," What’s wrong Sandra? You look a little disturbed"

Gabriel loved her so much that even the slightest change in her behavior was easier for him to bother. She never once complained when he teased her but today, when she yelled at him, he sensed something was off and his heart was eager to know.

Sandra moved her frantic eyes as she watched Gabriel genuinely concern for her. There wasn’t any trace of playfulness in them and that made her realize how rudely she behaved with him minutes ago.

She knew her disturbed behavior could catch many eyes which can eventually lead to suspicions. So she quickly composed her expression and let out a smile as she shook her head denying his worry.

"There is nothing to worry about. It’s just while coming here, I saw a few cops out there at the university gate interrogating a few students, and that somewhat scared me" she said resting her hand on his palm and caressed it. She then brought his hand to her palms and held it firmly, watching him with sorrowful eyes.

"Gab, I am sorry. I didn’t mean to yell at you earlier. It’s just that I was disturbed by the things happening around and the cops triggered my fears even more" Sandra confessed and watched Gabriel calm down a little before he return the smile.

Sensing that he wasn’t any more anxious about her, she asked" By the way did the cops find who was the person behind Alexa’s death" she kept a clueless face as if she had no idea who it was, but she couldn’t let Gabriel get doubtful of her.

Gabriel shrugged his shoulder," No yet, but they are still trying their best" he said and fell into deep thought.

There had been a few rumors in the university about the bullying happening around, but no one found the person behind it. Many of them said it was always those girls who tried to pursue Tristan who got bullied, but unfortunately, they never saw that person’s face as they were always warned or beaten with their faces covered with backcloth.

Sandra turned silent again as she once again began to rack her brain when Tristan and Karl walked in.

"Am I going blind or is whatever I am seeing is true? Are you both secretly dating" Tristan winked at Gabriel before he looked at their intertwined hands.

"There is no wrong if we do right" Gabriel joined his friend, embarrassing Sandra who didn’t understand what happened all of sudden.

She quickly let go of his hand and shook her head." No, nothing is going on between us" she quickly denied but it was too late as both Tristan and Karl didn’t trust her.

"It’s okay Sandra. We won’t bother you two. You can continue whatever you were doing earlier" Karl eyed both Tristan and Gabriel playfully.

Sandra who felt embarrassed poked Gabriel asking him to say something but just like her other two friends even he was enjoying the teasing.

When she wasn’t able to take it anymore that when she snarled," I said stop it guys" her patience wore out in between their teasing and now she wanted them to put a halt on their mouths.

How can she let them romanticize her friend with Gabriel when she already had Tristan in her heart? No! she can’t and for that, she soon has to confess her feeling to him.

After the class ended, Sandra excused herself to the restroom when she heard a few girls talking about Tristan planning a surprise birthday for her. Though she could listen to them that clearly, she was happy enough to find Tristan was planning something special for her birthday.

Stepping out of the restroom, Sandra looked around but found no one. ’Was it all true that she heard before’ she asked herself in confusion but soon a smile crept her lips and she found herself smiling.

"Was all that tease just to divert her mind from the surprise? Or what if, he is doing everything because he realized that he too likes me" the news of the surprise birthday had messed up Sandra’s mind and she started assuming everything before any confirmation.

"So that is the reason why he skipped the class that day with Gabriel. I was all because he was planning something special for me" Sandra’s eyes glimmered with happiness as she kept staring at herself in the mirror and made up her mind to thank him by confessing her feeling for her on her birthday.
