Both Ace and Tristan gaped in shock when they saw Dante sitting on his rocking chair with his eyes close. His face had lost all its color and what scared them was his unresponsiveness.

Slowly taking a step closer, Tristan carefully placed his hand on Dante’s shoulder and lightly shook him.

"Grandpa" his voice cracked with the fear that kept building in his heart and before he could find himself losing his sense, Dante slowly opened his eyes.

Blinking his eyes, Dante pushed himself onto the chair and looked at the two horrified faces that stared at him like they have witnessed a miracle.

"What are you both doing here," he asked staring at both the men in surprise but when he moved his eyes to the door, his eyes bulge out from their socket "Did you just break my door" Dante jolted up from the chair and took a step ahead looking at the broken door.

Tristan and Ace shared a glance and then looked at Dante in surprise. ’Wasn’t it him who should be blamed? If he had opened the door, then he wouldn’t have had to break the door’

Dante glared at them, like a kid upset when he found that his favorite toy has broken.

"Don’t give me that look you, old man. It’s all your fault. Why haven’t you stepped out of the room the entire day" Tristan questioned ignoring his deadly glare and crossed his hands as he waited for him to speak.

The moment he heard those words, Dante’s face crumpled a little. Should I tell them, that I wasn’t feeling well the entire day and didn’t realize when I fell asleep on the chair and woke up just when he called me’

It had been a few days since he started to feel unwell and would end up falling asleep even without his knowledge. He wanted to ask Matt about it but his busy schedule never gave him the opportunity.

Tristan arch his brow as he sensed the change in Dante’s behavior. This old man was like a baby at times, trying to hide things that he couldn’t talk about.

Brushing off his suspicion, Tristan then turned to Ace and motioned to him to speak.

"Reject it" came Dante’s clean reply. He knew what Alphonse was trying to do, and he wasn’t any fool to see through his motives.

Ace bobbed his head and left from there. Tristan who watched everything found Dante’s behavior a little rude.

"You should’ve plainly rejected it. You didn’t even hear what kind of deal it was" taking a seat on the couch, both sat facing each other.

Dante looked at Tristan for some time before he opened his mouth to speak, "Do you think I haven’t tried to put an end to this long going this rivalry even before he came up with a deal and that too when he knew it’s only us who can save his shitty business from getting washed away"

Tristan creased his brow as he watched Dante smile. " Alphonse Moore is man father who turns back on his words. Not to forget why so many clans are keen on destroying Jaguar. It’s all his doing"

There was a long pause between the two when suddenly Dante asked," Why are Karl and Noah not here with you?"

"They are busy with some project work. They will resume the training tomorrow" he answered making Dante arch his brow in confusion.

"And what about you? Don’t you have any projects to complete" Dante asked as he watched his grandson casually lean on the backrest of the couch and shake his head.

"No, I don’t" came his plain answer which only made Dante heave out a sigh.

He had been trying to keep his grandson from getting involved with violence but he couldn’t, knowing how stubborn he was. He was just like his mother never turning back once he set his mind on something.

"How dare he..." Alphonse snapped furiously at his men who disclosed the news about Dante’s declining his deal. He was so enraged that he ended up throwing everything around like a madman.
