"Can you ask Noah to stop targeting Grey Internationals" Avera’s words took Alice by surprise once again?

’What was she thinking Alice shook her head leaning forward to listen to Avera correctly.

"W-what did you say?" she asked again.

Alice had no clue what was Avera talking about. Noah targeting Dylan’s company came like a total surprise for her but why would Noah do that, she thought and then asked the same.

"And why would Noah do that?" Alice felt like there was some kind of misunderstanding. If Noah was targeting the Grey then she would’ve known about it.

After the kidnap incident, Noah promised he wouldn’t associate with Dylan and she expected the same because, after that day, she didn’t hear anything from Dylan’s side.

Avera frowned when she saw Alice act dumb," Why are you acting clueless?" she asked.

Avera thought Alice was aware of what Noah Wayne was trying to do with Grey Internationals. If not for his constant targeting Dylan wouldn’t have been this stressed with the constant decline of their shares in the market.

Wayne has been taking every proposal from Dylan leaving him with nothing but small business.

Alice didn’t like the way Avera talked with her. Why would she act dumb when she had no clue what was happening to Dylan and why Grey International suffered losses?

But then when she pondered on Avera’s words she thought why would she lie about it? There was no way for her to come and ask for help if whatever she said wasn’t true.

Thinking for some time she looked at her and said," If whatever you said is the truth, then first I have to talk with Noah. I can’t just meddle in his work just because you ask me" she said it clearly, loud enough for her to understand.

Avera didn’t insist further and nodded her head. Wiping her tears off, she sighed and stood up to leave.

Taking a step towards the main door Avera stopped as she held the knob and turn to see Alice," I know everything that happened between you and Dylan years back and I am very sorry for it but now, everything has changed, you too changed then why not forget everything and let live out lives"

Avera loved Dylan way too much to even neglect his mistakes. She was so blinded by her endless love for him that she didn’t mind his past with Alice. All she wanted was to live a happy life with him.

Alice scoffed at her words. How easy it was for Avera to ask her to forget everything. But how would she understand her misery as she wasn’t the one who went through all the traumatic incidence?

"You would never understand Avera. That one incident changes everything but that doesn’t matter because it wasn’t you at my place" Alice felt pity for the girl to be so blinded by her love for Dylan that she didn’t know how low she seemed while she said those words.

Avera smiled sadly and turned around, opened the door, and left. As soon as the shutting sound of the door was heard, Alice heaved out a breath. She didn’t realize she had been holding it for a long time.

Alice was way past that traumatic incident but the pain was still there somewhere in the corners of her heart and it would take some time for her to finally heal.

Ashley stood by her balcony looking at the starry sky above and closed her eyes. As the cool breeze passed through her, she remembered her times with Tristan.

How he used to embrace her whenever she would stand by the balcony just like this and look at the view ahead. His embrace would always warm her heart and she would feel like melting into it.

As she reminisces their moment subconsciously her hands circled around her as if she was sensing him closer to her. She didn’t thoughts her feelings for Tristan were so deep that started imagining him next to her.

"Such a fool," she said sadly and opened her eyes, and tears streamed down her cheeks.

"You are just too stubborn as me Tristan" she muttered wiping off her tears and stepping inside her room, heading to the bathroom to clean her face.

Once she was done Ashley walked out of her room, and headed downstairs to the dining area.

Richard was already waiting for her, smiled when he saw her approach him." Missed your room so much that you don’t want to come out" he said signaling the maid to serve them the food.

"It had been days since I haven’t been in my room date. Period, I really missed my bed" she said playfully and they both soon began eating the food.

Richard kept glancing at Ashley every now and then. Though she looked fine from the outside but her eyes spoke something else. Why did they look tired even after she had so much sleep?

"I was expecting Tristan to come along with you but unfortunately he couldn’t. How long is he going to stay in country M" Richard started a conversation changing the dull air.

’How would I know when he didn’t even bother to inform me about his leave’ Ashley said to herself without voicing her thought.

"He will be out for a few days dad" she lied.

Ashley didn’t want her father to know about their fight so she lied. It was better if no one find that they had a tiff. He had been so happy with her arrival and now, she didn’t want to worry him.

Richard nodded her head, believing her words and they both soon finished the dinner. They then headed to the living hall as the father and daughter duo chatted with each other and then bid goodnight as they walked to their respective room.

A few rooms away in the maid’s quarter, Tori was lying on her bed. It had been weak since she entered the Brown mansion as per her boss’s instruction.

Gabriel had planted his allies everywhere, keeping an eye on Tristan’s every move. Tori was one of them. She was asked to keep an eye on Ashley’s family, knowing every little thing about her.

With her skills, she managed to enter the house, after she threatened the assistant chef to vacate her position or else her entire family would suffer the consequences.

Scared, the woman took a step back allowing Tori to make her way easily.

Pulling out her personal cellphone, she informed Gabriel about Ashley’s visit to her house. Once she was done informing me about every detail, Tori ended the call.

She then walked to her bedside and kneeled pulling her bag out of the bed. Opening the bag, she took out the mini spy camera she bought along, and securely hide them inside her clothes before she stepped out of the room.

Since it was dark outside, she assumed everyone had already slept. Taking the opportunity, she began her work and in no time she installed the camera in the entire house.

Once, she was done, she turned them on with every minute detail being tapped by her boss.

"Done" she typed the message before pressing the send button and then walked back to her room after she completed the task.

Noah returned home and the moment he stepped foot inside the house, his nose was hit with the aromatic fragrance of food.

"Did you make the dinner?" amazed by the smell, he asked as he watched Alice walk to him and hugged him the next second.

Noah was now getting used to her gestures and hugged her back burying his face into her neck.

"Is there any occasion?" he asked pulling back from the hug.

Alice shrugged with her arms around his waist and said casually," I thought to make something for you. I am not sure if you would like it but still... I hope it isn’t that bad"

It was the first time, Alice had cooked for Noah or else it was him, who would bring them takeouts. Now that she had prepared everything she couldn’t wait for him to taste it.

Getting freshen up Noah and Alice sat on their respective seats and started eating the food. Taking the first bite Noah closed his eyes as the delicious taste of the food melted his taste bud and he let out a moan.

His sudden reaction made Alice fix her eyes on his face as she watched him lick his lips. Subconsciously, Alice bit her lower lips as Noah’s moan caught her off guard.

A lustful gleam passed through her eyes but she soon composed her thoughts from drifting elsewhere and watched Noah open his eyes after he finished the first bite.

"The food is exceptionally delicious Alice. I just can’t describe how tempting it is to my taste" Noah genuinely appreciated her cooking. It was exactly just the way he liked, less spicy and more appetizing.

Satisfied by his answer Alice smiled and they both finished the food in no time. Placing the utensils in the sink, Noah stepped out of the kitchen and walked toward Alice who was currently cleaning the surface of the table.

She was so engrossed in her work that she didn’t realize when Noah approached her from behind until his eager crotch bumped into her butt.

"Umm." a muffled moan escaped her mouth and she let the cloth in her hand fall down before Noah swiftly turned her around to face him.

"How would you like me to reward you," he asked with his deep penetrating voice that completely put on a spell on Alice’s mind.
