Chapter 1432 - Chapter 1432 Chapter 440 New World Technology City
Chapter 1432: Chapter 440: New World Technology City Chapter 1432: Chapter 440: New World Technology City A month later.
Blacktooth Forest, a no-man’s land completely unmarked on the map of the East Wilderness.
In the dense forest, birds chirped incessantly.
But upon closer inspection, one could find that the feathers of some birds on the branches were faintly glistening with a metallic sheen.
Not only the birds but also mechanical beetles, mechanical raccoons… all sorts of biomechanical animals.
These were the Mechanical Guards of the base.
Beneath the land of this huge forest lay a sprawling human settlement.
The Song Family had started laying out and constructing several secret bases here decades ago, and this “T-11 Sunny Base” was one of them.
By now, it had grown to the scale of a large Underground City.
The site had now gathered almost all the top machinery talents from the East Wilderness. It was a base filled with a sense of technology.
Therefore, it had been given a new name, “New World Technology City.”
It stood as a symbol of the technological capital distinct from the decayed old era.
…
The Technology City resembled a magical steampunk-style super Mechanical Factory.
The city was divided in detail, with zones for planting, living, production, and combat training…
One could see pedestrians everywhere, walking around with various Mechanical equipment attached.
At this moment, in apartment number 1002 of the residential area, there stood an apartment full of high-tech ambiance.
This was Seven Brown’s apartment.
Seven Brown’s identity within Machinery City was very special, not only because she was a good friend of Lew Williams, the Family Head of the Song Family, but more importantly, she was considered a first-class Mechanic in the machinery domain and an unrivaled presence in the Mechanical Battle Armor combat area of the training field for many years.
That’s why Seven Brown owned this small, independent apartment in Machinery City.
Leonard Churchill and Seven Brown had been back at the base for over half a month now, and they were both living here.
At this very moment, the entire apartment was flickering with the ghostly blue light of Magic Energy welding.
A Mechanic’s apartment was not just a place for rest, but typically also functioned as a workshop.
The apartment room was spacious, spanning a thousand square meters.
Yet, even as spacious as it was, one’s vision was filled with a dense array of equipment and parts.
On one side of the wall hung various Mechanical tools, and on the other side, numerous blueprints were pinned up, with all sorts of large-scale machinery lathes and military-industrial-grade black tech equipment scattered about the room. There were also designated areas for Magic Energy equipment and hardcore machinery workbenches…
The most eye-catching, however, was a rust-stained Heavy Armor.
Leonard recognized this Mecha; it was the [Thor Generation], one of the earliest sets of battle armor designed by Seven Brown herself.
Compared to the imposing Hunting God Armor in the lab, this Thor Battle Armor was like an antique–crude and broken down.
It had long been obsolete in this era.
More akin to scrap that should be thrown into the furnace and reforged into steel.
But Seven Brown had brought it out from the Flood Gang and kept it by her side ever since.
Now, using steel cables to disassemble it, she had hung it prominently near the entrance of the room to commemorate the days when she had embarked on the path of Mechanical Design.
At this moment in the workshop, a special welding light flickered.
Wearing a work suit covered in grease stains, Seven Brown was intently controlling eight octopus-like Mechanical arms, welding a silver arm full of cracks.
This Agile Octopus Mechanical Arm was also made from blueprints brought out from the Alternate Dimension.
With the blueprints, the technical difficulty wasn’t very high, but for a Mechanic, it was extremely practical.
After returning, Seven Brown had the base factory work overtime to make it, and she now found it very handy.
On the other side of the room, behind the glass in the data room, Leonard was studying various Classic Books on cultivation.
Just like in the past at Flood Gang, the two had grown accustomed to this tacit and plain cohabitation.
Not long after, the welding light faded, and suddenly, a bizarre black light flashed in the room.
At the same time came Seven Brown’s muffled exclamation through the protective mask: “My God! It worked!”
Leonard looked up.
He watched as Seven Brown controlled that silver arm to perform some simple finger movements inside an isolation chamber.
On the other side, a target made of the base’s current hardest “Troll Alloy” had been penetrated by a fist-sized hole.
Even Leonard looked over in surprise, “Did it really work?”
Destroying that target also meant that the black light from a moment ago was the same kind of Dark Energy beam that could annihilate everything he had seen the Mechanical Angel use before.
Angel Alloy was completely indestructible, and after Seven Brown had gotten her hands on those fragments, she had been troubled for several days, not knowing how to use them.
But just as the base had made certain breakthroughs in the research of the Mechanical Angel’s weapon system, and with the additional support of numerous techniques and the [Anti-Matter God Destruction Device Concept Diagram 1.0] that Leonard provided, she thought of a brilliant idea.
That was to use the fragments as components and embed them in a new structure inside another Mechanical arm.
Although the patched-up Mechanical arm was far from as stable and formidable as the original and could not replicate all the functions.
In theory, it was already capable of supporting the firing of a “Dark Matter Magic Energy Cannon,” which was more than sufficient for the current needs.
After many attempts and numerous failures over the past few days.
Seven Brown never gave up.
Just now, that wisp of black light shot out from the cannon, proving that all her efforts hadn’t been in vain!
…
Seven Brown put down her work and wanted to share the good news with Leonard Churchill right away.
She took off her heavy work clothes, revealing her body damp with sweat, and happily waved through the glass, “Leonard, come and look!”
Leonard also stepped out of the data room and entered the workshop.
