Catastrophe Card King -
Chapter 1328 - Chapter 1328 Chapter 407 Many Void Materials_2
Chapter 1328: Chapter 407 Many Void Materials_2 Chapter 1328: Chapter 407 Many Void Materials_2 And in the perception of their breath, those bugs were much stronger than before.
Leonard Churchill, seeing this, not only wasn’t surprised but the corners of his mouth slightly rose.
The queen had discovered them and sent guards from the nest, which also meant… they had taken the right path.
In just a blink of an eye, countless Blade Mantises surged out from all directions of the tunnel.
Elder Clinton beside him was so frightened by this scene that his old face twitched violently, ready to lie on the ground and play dead again.
Leonard carried him on his shoulder with a chuckle, saying, “Elder, I’m charging in!”
Elder Clinton let out a bewildered cry, “Ah?”
Leonard, however, did not say more but his eyes narrowed as dozens of sharp knives whirled around him suddenly.
These Moon Wheel-derived sharp daggers were much more efficient at piercing armor than bullets, even the Ironclad Beetles could easily be penetrated.
Dozens of flying knives formed a blade Domain around his body, and Leonard plunged headfirst into the tide of insects.
With a flash of cold light, massive numbers of bugs couldn’t come close to him before they were effortlessly pierced through their vitals by the sharp flying knives.
Heads, abdomens, hearts, mouthparts…
Before entering the Alternate Dimension, Leonard had memorized all the attributes and weaknesses of the various insect creatures that appeared in the Hunter Association’s intelligence.
He even quietly harvested a large number of bugs without making a sound.
Enlightenment scrolled like a breaking tidal wave.
‘Successful kill of “elite Blade Mantis”, Points +10’
‘Successful kill of “Self-Destructing Bug”, Points +25’
‘Successful kill of “robust Acid Bile Bug”, Points +155’
‘Successful kill of “D-rank Catastrophe Ironclad Bug Leader”, Points +1000’
‘…’
The bugs here were much stronger than the previous ones, with more types and threats, and the Points were higher too.
But they were still fragile.
The bugs that might take dozens of bullets to kill were precisely struck at their weak points by Leonard’s flying knives, every single time.
The tunnels were cramped, and as Leonard intentionally charged through, he could come into contact with hundreds of bugs in a unit of time.
With a single sweep of the flying knives, he could instantly slay a string of bugs, giving them no opportunity to touch him, thus posing no threat.
Though it wasn’t as earth-shaking as the Mechanics killing with Machinery, flying knives held one absolute advantage over firearms: minimal consumption.
There was no waiting for reloads, nor worry about insufficient ammunition.
The bugs were just too fragile!
Leonard’s proficiency with telekinetic flying knives had now reached a level where he could threaten High-Order Card Masters, let alone insects with nearly the same defensive capabilities as ordinary humans.
Controlling flying knives of this caliber was for him as easy as controlling characters in a video game to kill monsters–with just a slight focus and practically no other expenditure.
Even when faced with the occasional mini-boss, Leonard’s own combat power was extremely strong, and he could easily kill them in an instant.
No real threat could form.
Right now, his brain was like a high-speed computer: everywhere he looked, bugs died en masse as if wheat was being harvested.
The flying knives seemed to move rapidly, but in reality, they were more like dozens of invisible tendrils of Spirit Power.
With a thought, the knives were instantly there.
The “Multi-Heart and Multi-Use” scanning ability from the Thousand Mechanism Puppet God Sect, combined with “I Am the World,” was precise as a scanner.
There were no oversights in Leonard’s vision and perception.
Leonard charged like this all the way.
With flying knives leading the way, the tunnel was left with countless insect carcasses.
His progression was so fast that it even surpassed the bugs’ surrounding speed.
So much so that before a surrounding circle could form, Leonard, carrying Elder Clinton, charged toward the tunnel with the most High Tier bugs and entered deep into the nest.
A large swarm of bugs chased them fiercely, and occasionally, to rack up Points, Leonard would even throw a few high-explosive bombs behind him.
…
Bugs are not humans; their intelligence is insufficient to understand the concept of masking their presence or employing complex tactics to surround and kill a target.
At least these low-level bugs had absolutely no intelligence to speak of.
It was only a sea of bugs as a tactic.
So, Leonard led a host of bugs, countless times his own number, twisting and turning through the caverns.
It looked incredibly dangerous, but in reality, it was smooth sailing!
This was why Leonard had previously broken away from the main force.
Though the main force had fierce firepower, it was also cumbersome. Once blocked by bugs, the team itself became a burden, only waiting to be trapped by an increasing number of insects.
He, alone, could kill and run, the bugs couldn’t catch up, making it even safer.
Of course, this tactic was only suitable for someone like Leonard, who had the combat power to break through the bug encirclement on his own.
Points 15554…
Points 32223…
Points 98813…
As he moved, his Points soared.
Unknowingly, Leonard found that he was about to reach his goal of one hundred thousand Points.
Killing bugs felt like playing a match-three game; he enjoyed this feeling very much.
Now that he had achieved the required Points, theoretically, Leonard could choose to leave the Alternate Dimension.
But he didn’t stop and continued to rush into the depths of the nest instead.
The direction Leonard chose was what he had calculated to be the most likely route leading to the queen’s nest.
Though he made a few wrong turns, he quickly corrected them by observing the bugs’ reactions.
Leonard was certain, choosing the path with the strongest defense was definitely right.
The queen was busy dealing with the other two teams, making the chances of a misjudgment extremely low.
At one moment, the tunnel around him suddenly became spacious.
This was clearly a passage dug for the movement of large bugs.
Enlightenment promptly appeared: “You have entered the ‘Queen’s Nest’, covered by a high Divinity Barrier. You cannot settle your Points to leave the space within the Barrier’s range…”
