Chapter 1209: Chapter 372: Immortal Law – Descending Gods_2 Chapter 1209: Chapter 372: Immortal Law – Descending Gods_2 Upon hearing this, Leonard Churchill’s eyes shifted.

Could Room 007 be the bloodline of those two families?

He pulled out an arm wrapped in bandages and said, “Auntie Garcia, the conductor said that this relic belongs to 007.”

The moment Susu Garcia saw the arm, she recognized it: “Black Demon? Did the conductor tell you that?”

“Yes.”

Leonard nodded, then asked, “Does Auntie Garcia know about this relic?”

He hadn’t used this item that could greatly enhance combat power even in such a desperate situation, simply because his instinct told him it was very sinister.

Originally, he thought it was someone from the White Family trying to calculate against him, but now it seemed that was not the case.

Now, having received some intelligence from Susu Garcia, it wasn’t hard for Leonard to deduce that the undead spirit in 007 had attempted to risk using this arm.

And so, he grew more curious about what exactly this arm was.

Sophia Jones took a look and said, “I heard about this relic of the White Family. It is indeed very powerful but also very sinister. At least the few generations of holders I know of have all suffered backlash.”

Taking a breath, she shared what she knew: “The last time it appeared was one hundred and thirty years ago, when the ‘Number One Under the Heavens assassin’ Red Magpie had a grievance with the White Family and went to assassinate the White Family head, Vic White. Just when everyone thought Vic White was doomed, the person from the White Family who possessed this relic killed that legendary assassin with ease… However, this happened in the City of Thieves and few outsiders know of it.”

“…”

Leonard listened without surprise.

He had previously witnessed the power of this arm.

If it hadn’t been for Sophia being a Great Rank higher than the Old Fox, he would have really suffered a huge loss.

When Susu Garcia saw this arm, she seemed to realize something and added, “I speculate… this might be a relic of Taron Founding Emperor, Emperor Lanlingster.”

“…”

Upon hearing this, Leonard nodded involuntarily.

He had guessed as much a moment ago.

He had seen The Emperor’s Stele in the Rune Highlands and knew that there was a high probability that Emperor Lanlingster was the previous host merged with JOKER.

And the multiple Sequence abilities demonstrated by the Black Demon were not something any of the Fifty-Two Demon God Sequence could accomplish.

So when he saw this arm before, Leonard had already speculated a possible connection with Emperor Lanlingster.

Combining this with his knowledge about the control over the Mirror of the Prophet, if it wasn’t someone from the White Family, it could only be Augustus.

Clearly, Susu Garcia also came to this conclusion, stating directly, “If this arm truly belongs to the passenger in Room 007, then the undead spirit in that room might just be a relic closely related to Emperor Lanlingster…”

Leonard was beginning to understand now.

The passenger in 007, like Susu Garcia, hadn’t boarded the train voluntarily, but was imprisoned on the Underworld Train.

Leonard had pieced together the most crucial bits of the rapid intelligence puzzle and roughly deduced the whole process in his mind.

Probably many years ago, a previous head of the White Family had discovered a “Great Emperor’s Relic” but found it too dangerous and uncontrollable, so it was locked away on the Underworld Train.

But as times changed, later generations of the White Family no longer had the ability to deal with this relic.

So it was passed down through the years.

The passenger in 007 wanted to get out and had only recently broken through some of the seals, gradually contaminating and taking control of the neighboring high-tier undead spirits…

And then, it discovered that to come out itself wasn’t enough.

At least no card master in the East Wilderness capable of breaking through the train’s spatial ban right now.

Interestingly, the Mirror of the Prophet’s Divination had predicted the return of Leonard and the others.

Leonard now understood the meaning of “Prophecy”; in certain desperate moments, knowing a bit of the future can make one feel less hopeless.

And now, it had come to the present situation.

As for the Black Demon, it might have been left outside before the person was locked in the room, or perhaps it had somehow been brought out later.

None of that mattered anymore.

The key was that using this arm relic could very likely lead to being controlled by the one in Room 007.

Having realized this, Leonard’s brows suddenly furrowed: “Oh no!”

He might be temporarily out of danger, but Sophia Jones next door certainly wasn’t!

Leonard originally thought that the “guy” who had invaded Compartment 002 and killed several members of the White Family must have had abilities like spatial instantaneity or the like to intrude through distance.

But now it seemed not at all!

Instead, the Mirror Spirit was controlled, the “insider” who opened the room doors at midnight!

Now that the undead spirits couldn’t find Leonard, they would definitely trouble Sophia instead.

And himself, currently hiding in Room 001, was untouchable by the evil spirits outside.

The one in Room 007 would definitely not give up this hard-earned chance to escape.

It would also think to use Sophia as bait, forcing him to come out.

With this in mind, Leonard’s gaze turned sharp, and he decisively said, “Auntie Garcia, I need to step out for a moment.”

He guessed that the situation with Sophia must be dire.

Going out now might give him a chance to encounter her, and theoretically, he could take her back to hide in Room 001.

But the undead spirit would have also anticipated this and would surely have set an ambush.

It was an extreme risk.

And right now, she was a powerful reinforcement.

When talking with Noah Wright before, Leonard had heard the Pursuer of Light evaluate her strength with only the phrase “unfathomably profound.”

Augustus was in charge of Kingship, while the Great Priest Lineage had jurisdiction over all manner of strange and unusual affairs.

The legacy of the Garcia Family was beyond the imagination of outsiders.

Susu Garcia also understood what he meant, and with regret in her voice, she said, “I’m sorry, I might not be able to help you. I can’t leave this room.”

“Yes.”

Upon hearing this, Leonard’s expression became stern.

Unable to leave obviously meant there were other special means of Restriction in play.
