Carrying a Jurassic on me
Chapter 80 - 80 21 Catching and Training a Dog_1

80: Chapter 21 Catching and Training a Dog_1 80: Chapter 21 Catching and Training a Dog_1 A strange bird once again took flight above the small town.

Of course, it was Yan Fei, the cinerous vulture.

The pair of brothers from the Si Family had certainly done well for themselves.

Even the Second Man of the Si Family, who wasn’t often in town, had a newly built, one-and-half-story house.

Though it was no match for Ma Yongming’s newly built home, it still counted as one of the nicer houses in town.

Such a house was easy to find.

It was located on the old site of a distillery left behind from Sancha River Town, next to a pond, were two sets of houses side by side – easy to find.

No one really knew when the distillery was established, but its area was immense with many dilapidated houses.

There weren’t many dwellers and the green brick walls surrounding those houses had weathered with rain and wind.

Any slight touch would cause the brick on the ground surface to crumble.

Several parts had even collapsed, especially around the pond area with overgrown weeds.

At night, it evoked a gloomy setting, like a scene from a chilling supernatural TV series.

However, just a road away were the new houses of the Si brothers.

Their new homes stood out prominently amidst the ruins.

A wolf dog saw a large bird landing on the rooftop.

Instinctively sensing the bird’s malicious intent, it immediately sprang up and barked ferociously.

The dog’s iron chain around its neck clinked loudly.

Yan Fei stood still and didn’t move.

After a few rounds of barking, the dog gradually stopped lunging and growling.

Seeing Yan Fei’s lack of response, the dog merely grumbled with a low growl and then silenced.

Yan Fei then seized the moment when the dog laid down, and with a light leap, he descended.

The dog abruptly moved, but it wasn’t faster than Yan Fei.

Before it could even get fully up, Yan Fei pinned it by its neck.

His other hand swiftly reached for the buckle on the dog collar, then he unhooked it with a press of his finger.

“Ah woo…”

The very moment the dog let out a panicked whimpering, Yan Fei instantly brought it inside Vegetable Garden Island.

He put the dog on the ground and ignored it.

He quickly reappeared inside the courtyard of either Elder or Second Man of the Si family, then in the guise of the cinerous vulture, he took off to the sky.

The dog next door began to howl.

Yan Fei waited for a while.

It seemed like someone was awakened in the house, as reprimanding voices could be heard.

When the dog stopped barking, Yan Fei used the same trick to bring another dog to Vegetable Garden Island.

And there was a pleasant surprise?

Turns out, this dog was a mother.

In the den behind her, six pudgy puppies were huddled together, their eyes still closed, lifting their small heads in search of their mom!

He brought the puppies along with the bedding from the den to the Vegetable Garden Island.

The mother dog immediately rushed to her litter and, standing guard over them, ferociously barked at Yan Fei.

However, Yan Fei had no time to deal with her.

He headed back to the Si Family’s courtyard, transformed into the cinerous vulture, and audaciously flew away, flapping his wings in the air.

When he returned to his room at the cattle ranch, he finally had a chance to check on the two dogs at Vegetable Garden Island.

They were undoubtedly both purebred wolf dogs.

The two dogs barked at him.

The one that had pups was a bit calmer and just stayed by her litter, but the other one moved to attack.

Yan Fei gave a smug grin, swiftly sidestepped the attack, and kicked it.

The dog let out a scream and tumbled away.

It got up intending to attack again, but Yan Fei, appearing instantly by its side, pinned its head down, not letting it get up.

“Behave, don’t move…” he said while pressing and reprimanding it.

In no time, the dog calmed down.

He released his hand, the dog sprang up, whining and ran off with its tail between its legs.

It didn’t get far before it turned and barked at Yan Fei.

Yan Fei chuckled.

He transformed into the Pterosaur in front of it, letting out a shriek.

The dog almost got scared to death.

It whimpered and ran off with its tail still between its legs.

It hadn’t gotten far before it was snatched back by its neck.

“You still want to run?

You think you can outrun me?” Yan Fei laughed as he tossed the dog onto the ground.

With a yelp, the dog tumbled twice on the ground, picked itself up and continued to run without looking back.

Yan Fei pinched its neck and dragged it back.

After a few times of doing so, the dog finally learned to stay still on the ground.

Having disciplined this dog, Yan Fei turned around to deal with the mother dog next.

The mother dog, being more clever for her pups, stopped barking wildly and lowered her growls when Yan Fei turned into a Pterosaur.

By the time Yan Fei held the pup like a chicken and gave it a full treatment, the mother dog had already quieted down completely.

After that ordeal, whenever the mother dog saw Yan Fei, she’d tuck her tail in and whimper submissively while lying on the ground.

“Is training dogs this easy?”

Yan Fei chuckled with satisfaction, picking up two pieces of meat and throwing them to the two dogs.

But they didn’t dare to eat.

Yan Fei didn’t bother forcing them and went to sleep after having something to eat himself.

When he woke up in the morning, he subconsciously glanced at the two new pets on Vegetable Garden Island.

The two dogs, having spent half the day in terror, seemed to have plucked up some courage not seeing Yan Fei around, and they started to try the meat.

As he was going out, he saw that Ma Chao had already fed the cattle early in the morning and was about to call him for breakfast.

After gobbling down his meal, Yan Fei told them to keep an eye on the cattle and nothing else, before shutting the door to his room and entering Vegetable Garden Island.

The dogs had finished their meat.

Seeing Yan Fei return, they became alert.

The dog that was tormented last night stayed still on the ground.

Yan Fei went over and cautiously reached to pat its head, feeling its trembling body.

“It’s okay, it’s okay.

Just watch the vegetable garden quietly and there’ll be meat for you.

Don’t be scared.

Uh, let’s call you San Hei…

No, let’s call you Elder Man of Si Family!

Your wife will be Si Hei.

Be obedient, guard the place, and there’ll be meat.

Just settle down!” Yan Fei’s tone was much softer now that the dog was his own.

He then brought more meat over and left a piece for it.

Next, he went to the side of the dog he named Si Hei.

This dog was hunched over her puppies, who were nursing.

She was warily growling at Yan Fei.

As he approached and touched her trembling body, he reassured her, “Don’t worry, don’t worry.

You’d still have to sell your pups if you were with someone else, but with me, even your pups will get to eat meat.

Just listen and be good.”

He also got a piece of meat for her and rested assured seeing her eat it.

He even patted the tiny, soft puppies.

He came up with the idea to give them a pot of meat soup and told her, “Drink some soup to produce more milk.

Come on, eat this!

Don’t starve the puppies!”

After some coaxing from Yan Fei, she timidly lapped at the meat soup a few times.

When she saw that Yan Fei didn’t react, she gradually began to drink more confidently.

Dog training depends on the trainer.

If the dogs hadn’t been terrified by Yan Fei, they would have been doing quite well.

Besides, they’ve already been fed by humans, and can understand simple orders.

The puppies hadn’t even opened their eyes and certainly weren’t able to eat anything.

However, they couldn’t be ignored.

Yan Fei cut some branches and built two simple nests for them.

The nests were simple: triangular, made of twigs and leaves – pretty good at providing shelter from wind and rain.

This would finally provide the two dogs with a place to live.

There’s no need to guard the Vegetable Garden Island.

Just leave them there for a few days to avoid suspicion.

After that, they could be tied at the entrance of the cattle ranch to guard the gate.

With Da Hei and Er Hei yet to grow up, four dogs would be sufficient.

As for the puppies, they could decide what to do later.

Feed them first.

There’s an abundance of dog food.

Every day they’d be stuffed full of meat.

The two dogs clearly had resigned themselves to their fate.

Watching Yan Fei work and introduce them to their new home, they didn’t resist.

After a while, they obediently followed Yan Fei’s instructions, just like dogs that were domesticated from early on.

Seeing the disciplined dog still somewhat cautious, Yan Fei also prepared a bowl of meat soup for it.
