Chapter 184: champagne and chocolate cake

"These are happy tears." I hurried to clarify on noticing the worried and confused expression across Blaze’s face. He frowned a little as he peered down at me.

"That means you like it?" He questioned and I nodded while sniffing. His thumb collected the tear that rolled down next and I grabbed his wrist and brushed my lips against his knuckles as a bunch of emotions flooded through my insides.

"I feel like I died and this is the other world or something close to that. No way someone like me is getting treated to all of this in the normal world." I whispered, voice low and trembling a little. Blaze tugged me into his arms next and I clutched him tightly, sucking in deep lungfuls of his scent to keep my head sane.

"What did we say about you talking down on yourself like this?" He asked after a few minutes and the hand which was lazily resting behind my neck suddenly squeezed. I sucked in a sharp breath, body stiffening and mouth falling open to let out a low gasp as the sudden rush of heat that flowed through my veins in that moment.

I swallowed emptily and tried to keep my eyes open, fingers tightening in the lapel of his suit.

"You said you’d p- punish me when next I do that." I whispered through a ragged breath.

"That’s right, bunny. No one gets to ever do that and you’re not an exception." He reminded me and I felt heat swirl around inside me.

"Okay." I squeaked out and he chuckled as his hand slowly loosened from the back of my mind.

He took my hand after that and led me through the trail of white roses and I felt bad for stepping over the soft petals, like I was committing a very vile crime.

"This is so beautiful, it’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever set my eyes on." I whispered once we finally got to the table. Blaze pulled my chair open for me and as I sank into it, and then he paused and spoke.

"And you’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever set my eyes on."

A giddy smile remained on my face as he took the seat across from me.

He retrieved a bottle of champagne from a bucket beside his side of the table and popped it, and then he poured two glasses.

"Cheers to the two of us." He breathed out and my heart fluttered in my chest as I picked up my glass and clinked it against his own.

"Just the two of us." I mouthed and his eyes sparkled as he threw the entire drink back. I took a sip of the wine which had a light golden color and the fruity taste bursted over my tongue at once.

I was done with my glass in no time because after that first sip, I suddenly couldn’t get enough. I held out my glass and begged for another glass but Blaze gave me a stern look.

"You need to slow down, bunny. I can’t have you getting drunk on me tonight." He said as he poured me another glass.

"Why? I heard getting drunk is fun. You get to feel free in your mind during that period." I mumbled and he snorted as he placed the champagne down.

"If you get drunk tonight, I won’t fuck you any longer." He informed me and I felt my face heat up a little, heart racing a little.

I cleared my throat, wanting to change the topic as fast as possible.

"Uh... when’s your birthday?" I blurted out as I took a sip of my drink. I had to physically force myself to not down the entire content again because I really wanted him to fuck me tonight. It almost feels like my life depends on it. I went to feel him inside of me and I need it tonight.

Did that make me sound like a slut? Probably.

"January 1st." He responded as he picked up a tablet on the table and tapped away on it. My eyes widened in surprise and utter disbelief at his response.

"Really?" I cried out as he hummed before dropping the tablet.

"When’s yours?" He asked next and a big smile stretched across my face.

"January 1st!"

Blaze chuckled this time, a sound of disbelief escaping his lips.

"You know what? I shouldn’t even be surprised at this point. We keep encountering different things which keeps proving that we’re really supposed to be fated mates." He drawled and I couldn’t agree more.

"We’re soulmates." I announced, loving the feel of that word on my tongue.

Blaze responded as he sipped his drink.

"Which is why I’m gonna mark you tonight as well."

The time Blaze spent on that tablet was to summon waiters who brought forth a whole assortment of food.

I ate until I couldn’t, making me feel extremely full to the point that I almost passed out. Blaze encouraged me to keep eating when I flattered at a point because of what we planned on doing tonight.

The ’S’ word.

The dinner was the best thing I’ve had in ages, and it wasn’t just the perfect food, it was more about the person watching me as I eat and literally drinking me up with his eyes.

After the dinner, dessert got served and Blaze picked up my piece of cake before taking my hand and leading me to the end of the roof, where a rail was put up to prevent people from falling over.

"The stars are so pretty and it’s also a full moon tonight." I whispered in awe and Blaze hummed, finger coated with chocolate which he tapped against my mouth. I was currently leaning against the thin railings and I felt my eyes dilute as my mouth automatically fell open, making way for Blaze’s finger to slide in.

The heat in my stomach kept increasing with each nudge of chocolate coated finger against my slackened lips over and over again, till one finger switched to two, till the cake was forgotten and he was outrightly finger fucking my mouth while my eyes rolled to tire back of my head as a fiery heat surged through every inch of my body.
