Chapter 162: Oops
Chapter 162: Oops
Jules pov
My phone began to ring before I could even go far and for a moment, I thought it was Josh and that made me scoff.
I couldn’t believe I thought he was better in the two of them after he sided with me and called Taylor out on being wrong and outrightly ridiculous, not knowing that he was just as bad. I couldn’t believe that he actually begged Taylor when Taylor had been in the wrong this entire time. Taylor literally asked the both of us to leave his room, he should’ve apologized to Josh even if he didn’t want to do the same to me.
That made me wonder what kind of friendship they’re both keeping.
When my phone kept ringing, I fished it out and groaned underneath my breath on realizing it was Andrian.
I hesitated, contemplating ignoring it but I ended up accepting it.
He didn’t beat around the bush, he just asked me to come outside that he have a driver waiting to pick me up.
"Why though? This sounds so sudden." I mumbled, starting to grow stiff.
"It’s so that we could have the discussion we didn’t get to have when you showed up with Blaze! I told you it was important and you brought Blaze along, so we didn’t get to carry out what I had planned." His explanation would have probably made sense to me in the past when I trusted him wholeheartedly.
"Ohhh." I mumbled.
"Yeah, so go outside and get into the car. And don’t bring Blaze with you this time. I have a bad feeling since he showed up with you. It’s like he now knows something which he isn’t supposed to know. Are you sure you didn’t tell him anything?" He demanded and I almost let out a scoff but I caught myself at the last moment.
"Yes Andrian, I didn’t." I responded.
"Good. Now go. Don’t keep the driver waiting." He urged.
"Okay. I’m on my way now." I responded and the call ended after that. I scoffed at my phone which I shoved back into my pocket, and then I continued to walk forward, heading for the large building where all the dorms are at.
Andrian is extremely dumb for thinking that is actually show up around him alone.
That’s never gonna happen.
Not any longer.
I was still walking when I heard my name being called out, stopping me in my tracks.
When I turned around, I noticed Kai jugging towards me, having called out my name a few seconds ago.
"Where are you going?" He asked and I shrugged.
"Upstairs. Why?"
"Good. Don’t leave this premises today. I mean it." He informed me and I blinked at him slowly.
When he turned away from me and was about to start jugging again, I reached for his hand.
"Wait."
He stopped and faced me again, eyebrows arched.
"I- I got a call from someone asking me to come outside, but I didn’t plan on going though. Somehow, it seems like you always know about these things..." I trailed off and he snorted before leaning downwards.
"Whoever this person is, you definitely shouldn’t trust them. Be very wary of them." He informed me and when he tried to leave again, I held his hand.
"Wait."
A grin tugged at the sides of his lips this time as he spoke. "If you want to ask me how i get to know these things, don’t bother because I’m not spilling."
I pursed my lips as I dropped his hand. "I actually wanted to ask something else."
His brows got arched as he spoke. "Oh, yeah? Ask away then."
"Do you know anyone who goes by the name Andrian?" I asked, watching as his face morphed into a thoughtful expression for a few seconds.
"I don’t think so." He responded, and then he tilted his head sideways.
"Who’s this Andrian?"
I pursed my lips, of course I wasn’t gonna give him any answer to that, not when he was also being secretive.
"Never mind, thanks for the help." I said instead and then turned away from him, resuming my walk again.
"Just keep in mind that whoever tbat person is, might be using a wrong name. That’s all I’ll disclose."
Blaze already said this to me, so it wasn’t shocking to me.
I turned around this time. "Fuck you, Kai. For having actual information which could help me out but refusing to disclose them."
He let out a laugh this time, head thrown back.
"I’ll only let you in on everything if you agree to become mine." He reminded me and I scoffed is disbelief before whirling around and leaning his presence, ignoring the calls of my name.
On stepping into the building, I made my way into the elevator straight. A few betas were in it and I stood at the side, patiently waiting for it to get to the fourth floor.
When I alighted the elevator, I sniffed myself to be certain none of Kai’s scent was currently clinging to my skin. Once that was confirmed, I knocked on the door, knowing Blaze was currently inside because he told me he’d be spending the entire day in.
One thing I’ve noticed about Blaze is that he doesn’t like outdoors and wouldn’t step outside until it’s kind of important. It’s probably because he spent his childhood being locked away, so he kind of got used to that.
I felt my heart start to ache from just thinking about that. I used to think my father was vile and evil, but he sounds like a saint compared to Blaze’s father.
When the door swung open, everything in me lit up as my eyes settled on his sleepy face and I stepped in and wrapped my arms around his bare waist. He was currently shirtless and it was obvious that he was sleeping before I arrived.
"Hey, bunny." His sleep filled voice made everything inside of me rattle and I shivered against him as he closed the door and picked me up, prompting me to wrap my srms around his shoulders as our noses brushed each other’s.
His nose twitched and he leaned forward, nose dragging against the curve of my chin.
"Did you meet up with Kai?" He asked and I instantly stiffened, eyes widening.
Shit.
