Chapter 146: Plans

Jules’ pov

I waved the phone as I slowly turned to face Blaze.

"It’s Andrian." I called out and a scowl settled across his face as I tentatively accepted the call.

Blaze came to stand before me as I greeted him in the next moment.

"How are you? Can you come down to the office tonight?" He asked and my eyes widened while my heartbeat accelerated. When Blaze kept staring at me, I decided to put the call on speaker instead so he could hear what Andrian’s saying as well.

"Tonight? Is something up?" I asked, making sure to sound casual as ever, while on the inside, I was going crazy while wondering if he was also working on capturing me or something and wanted to do it before Kim attempt to do so tomorrow,

Andrian chuckled a little. "Not really, but I want us to hang out. We have a lot of things which we’re still yet to discuss about." He spoke and I glanced up at Blaze who shook his head, signaling for me to decline.

I scratched my head, unsure of how to go about this because I’ve never declined whenever Andrian asked me to come over. Whenever he does, I just make time and go over. Me refusing right now might definitely make him start suspecting that I know he’s two faced, and I didn’t want that to happen, I wanted to catch him red handed first.

"The thing is, I don’t think I’m sure of tonight though." I finally blurted out, wincing a little.

"You’re not sure?" Andrian repeated, clearly shocked and taken aback.

I massaged my forehead as I continued. "There’s this thing I already have planned out for tonight, so I don’t think tonight can work out. But we can do this some other time during the week though."

Andrian remained silent for the first few minutes before finally speaking. "Did something happen? Why don’t you wanna meet tonight?"

Blaze rolled his eyes when I glanced at him. I could tell by the scowl on his face and the clench of his jaw that it was taking everything from him to not reach out and grab my phone from me in order to give Andrian a piece of his mind.

"Nothing happened, Andrian. I just already have this thing planned with my friends." I explained and I heard an almost inaudible scoff in the background of the call.

"With friends? That’s not important compared to you coming to the office tonight." He spoke and I rolled my eyes, my hate for him growing as the minutes passed.

"I know, Andrian. We can meet up tomorrow night." I suggested.

"We need to meet up tonight. This is really important, you can’t say no."

I let out a small sigh and sank into the nearest bed, suddenly feeling unsure of what to say.

I was massaging my forehead again when a phone got waved in my face. It was Blaze’s phone, with the note app opened. On it, in caps were ’Okay, Andrian. I’ll cancel my plans and be there. It’s definitely more important.’

I reread the words and glanced at Blaze who nodded twice, and then I relayed those words to Andrian next, making sure to include that I won’t be trying to unseal my magic in order for it to be more believable.

He sounded pleased when he spoke next. "I told you I respect your decision the last time, didn’t I? We won’t try unsealing your magic again. I’ll be expecting you tonight. Don’t be late."

Before I could end the call, he stopped me.

"You’re yet to start using the new phone I got you. Is there something holding you back?" He asked and I cursed within myself because I completely forgot about that again after Blaze shoved the phone in his pocket.

"I forgot to turn it on after unboxing it. It was so pretty." I added the last part on purpose and he laughed before urging me to turn it on and to start using it already.

He ended the call after that and I let out a long sigh as I fell backwards into the bed, letting out a long groan.

"I still can’t believe this man is two faced." I groaned out while Blaze snorted as he retrieved my new phone from his side table.

"The way he was talking. It was almost like he was tired of putting up an act." Blaze spoke as he sank into the spot beside me and I couldn’t agree more.

"You’re so right. He never used to be this authoritative or intense. Do you think he believes Kim is gonna get me tomorrow and that he wants to strike before Kim does?"

Blaze hummed as he nodded. "It could be that. Or it could be something else entirely, but it didn’t sound good either."

He handed the new phone to me next. "As for this phone, for him not to suspect anything, we’re gonna be putting it on at certain intervals. When that happens, we’d make sure we don’t talk about anything serious. That’s for him to believe that we don’t talk about him."

As I accepted the phone, I regarded it wearily.

"What if we make a mistake? Or if we slip up? This sounds really scary." I admitted in all honesty and Blaze chuckled.

"We won’t. Whenever it’s turned on, we could do something like engage in nasty activities." He suggested and I puffed out a slow breath.

"What? That feels disgusting, the thought of him listening in." I muttered but Blaze grinned as he waggled his eyebrows at me.

"That’s the point, bunny. If he listens to you choking on my cock a few times, I’m very certain he won’t want to listen to any other thing from the listening device." He explained and I felt my cheeks grow hot.

"But how would I be able to face him after that? I’d never be able to look him in the eye ever again!"
