Captive Mate BL -
Chapter 64: + - 64+
Chapter 64: +Chapter 64+
So naturally, the only thing to do was to approach them.
Jael strode forward confidently, good thing he had a pissed-off resting face, it would be difficult to tell that he was actually pissing his pants.
"We are representatives sent from the High Council," One of the men introduced as soon as he walked up.
He didn’t even need to question them, glancing down at the card that was flashed at him.
There was no missing the High Council’s emblem, his blood running cold.
"Right." He muttered, brows twitching. "Can I help you out with anything?"
The representative stared him down pointedly as he pocketed his badge. "Take us to Mafia King Asher."
Asher’s title was said like an insult, their judgmental gazes roving over the club and its environs.
"Come with me," Jael turned around, thinking fast even as he calmly led the way around the club.
It would be too obvious if they just showed up here and demanded that they return Caspian, there had to be something else up their sleeves.
"Wait out here for a moment," He stopped them outside of Asher’s office, walking in alone.
"The High Council is here," He said bluntly, his tone quiet enough to not be overheard.
Asher shot upright, "The what?" He matched his quiet tone.
"Representatives from the Council are right out that door." Jael pointed a finger at the door he had come in through. "I’m going to need you to deny everything about Caspian-"
"I’m..." Asher was already disagreeing.
"There is no Caspian, only Cassia." He cut the Alpha off, glaring at him.
That was enough to silence Asher, although he didn’t look very happy about the plan.
"I’m letting them in now." He straightened up, a clear warning in his eyes.
Jael knew Asher was proud, but he was going to bank on him not wanting to lose Caspian to the High Council to convince him to play along.
Now he just needed to complete the second half of the plan.
He gestured the representatives in, leaving Asher to handle them all by himself against his better wishes.
But he had to make arrangements to prepare Caspian for potentially meeting the representatives.
He left the part where he would have to explain things to Caspian for last, hopefully it would go over easier than telling Asher had gone.

Caspian frowned when his phone rang, dropping his controller on the table, his character getting killed on screen.
A flashy ’You Lose’ banner popped up on the screen as he picked up the call, the game going silent.
"Hello?" He answered uncertainly, wondering why Jael was calling.
"Caspian, I need you to wear a dress." Jael bluntly demanded.
Caspian opened and closed his mouth a couple of times, completely at a loss for what to say.
He couldn’t have possibly heard right, why would Jael ask him to wear a dress?
"The less you know, the better. I just need you to pretend to be Cassia for the rest of today."
Caspian really really doubted that it was better the less he knew. "Why?" He simply asked.
Jael had better give him a damn good reason, considering that he was withholding information again - he highly doubted he would get one.
"Because if you don’t, you’ll be taken back to Moonstone." Jael said quietly.
That shut Caspian the fuck up, his eyes bulging in silent shock.
He didn’t remember ever telling anyone that he was from Moonstone, so how had Jael found out?
Also, who would be taking him back to Moonstone? Had Alpha Warren found him??
"Okay," He agreed in a small voice.
Jael sounded kind of shaken, that was a little troubling. Nothing seemed to ever bother the Beta...
He shot to his feet in a panic, it had been more than a week since he had to worry about what to wear but now he was back to doing that.
The door opened immediately after a polite knock, only one person ever did that.
Lucy marched in with a bag in her hand, "I was told to give you a disguise."
Caspian sighed in relief, it would be faster if he had someone who knew what they were doing with him.
If he was left alone to his antics, he would only manage to leave a mess behind.
And if he was going to be meeting Alpha Warren in person, he would be able to tell that it was him right away.
"We were told that it was very important that you pass as a woman," Lucy explained when they were settled in the walk-in closet, digging through her bag.
Caspian wasn’t too excited about it, he didn’t exactly have good memories of dressing up as a lady.
He would do more than wear lingerie to avoid going back to Moonstone though so he listened intently.
"I brought wigs to really sell off the disguise," She spoke professionally, explaining everything she did like she could see his unease.
"Which do you prefer?" She held up a black and blonde wig, "I’ve got more choices."
"T-The blonde is fine," He said shakily, maybe he could lie to himself that it was no different than growing out his hair.
Lucy paused and watched him intently in the mirror, "You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to. I’m sure we could explain things to Jael."
"No," Caspian said a little too sharply.
There was too much at stake for him to chicken out now.
Wearing feminine clothes again just reminded him that he hadn’t gotten over his internal issues.
It did nothing but remind him that he would never be a woman, it stripped his skin and left him raw and bleeding.
"I’m fine," He added in a softer voice, "I’ll be fine."
Lucy didn’t look too happy but she didn’t push, stuffing the black wig back into the bag.
The blonde wig was long, it would reach the small of his back, loose waves bouncing in a way his short hair never would.
