Captive Mate BL
Chapter 47: + - 47+

Chapter 47: +Chapter 47+

By the end of the third day, Caspian had completely run out of patience but that didn’t explain why he was walking down the street of the apartment he had been put in.

It had been easy to find out where he was on the map but that didn’t exactly help him get closer to Asher.

For one thing, he didn’t have any money on him... Maybe he should have taken Jael’s money offer.

Because now all he could do was rebelliously walk down the street although he had been told not to leave the apartment.

But no one had come to check up on him since then, so he might as well be free to do what he wanted.

His apartment was in a classy neighborhood in Central Area so the further he walked, the bigger the houses became.

There was no way he could possibly get back to Asher by walking but he needed to go on a walk before he went insane inside the apartment.

Haines was sectioned into five, Central Area was the only place largely untouched by Mafia influence. Downtown didn’t specifically belong to a Mafia house but it was rife with criminal activities regardless.

And the remaining three sections were the Mafia Kings’ turfs.

Caspian glanced at his phone as he slowly ambled down the sidewalk, he was keeping track of the way back because he would rather not have to sleep on the street.

It was late in the afternoon, the expensive houses slowly fading away to average homes as he left the Avenue he was on.

He had been walking for a while now, it was probably best that he started back. He would rather not be outside the apartment when the sun went down.

A car driving up caught his attention, he had barely seen cars on his walk so each one stood out to him, especially this one that seemed to slow down the closer it got to him.

His look of confusion was wiped off his face when the car stopped right beside him, the door swinging open.

For a split second, he thought it was Asher, but that thought was quickly scrapped up when strong hands snatched him up and pulled him into the car with experienced ease.

A firm hand immediately covered his mouth and before he could struggle the door was already closed, the car driving off.

His feeble attempts at struggling were stopped by the cuffs going around his wrists, gag, and blindfold following suit.

Caspian thought that they were doing a little too much with the blindfold but he couldn’t express his thoughts, the fabric a little too tight around his jaw.

He relaxed, breathing calmly through his nose. Maybe he was starting to get used to being kidnapped, because he wasn’t panicking as much as he should be.

Maybe it was because he could guess that Nikolai had something to do with this.

Caspian settled in for the ride, hoping that this would be a chance to see Asher. if that was the case, maybe getting kidnapped wasn’t so bad.

Keith glanced at the strange message he had gotten. He was just about to clock out for the night too, grateful not to have the night shift because those could be really hectic.

The message was strange because it came from one of the suppliers. He was by no means high-ranking in the Mafia, messages like this were texted right to the boss, or at least Jael.

He looked at the message again, his frown getting deeper. There was only one thing to do, tell Jael about it and then leave like he planned to.

He had been one of the middlemen at the last exchange, them having his contact had just been a formality, they weren’t actually supposed to reach out to him.

Especially not to tell him that they had something important that belonged to the boss.

He tried calling Jael, frowning when he was instantly sent to voicemail.

The Beta was a busy man but he never sent his calls to voicemail.

He tried again but it was the same result, a third time didn’t change things.

Keith read the message again, he contemplated ignoring it. After all, if they sent it to him first, it couldn’t be that important.

He couldn’t just ignore his job though, if he couldn’t reach either of them, he would just return to the mansion.

If he didn’t find either Jael or the boss, he would just give the info to the highest-ranking officer available, and then he would be home free.

Good thing he wasn’t too far from the mansion, he could make the trip in less than ten.

It was already night, and the longer he hung around, the more he went into overtime.

He wasn’t obligated to keep working so he wouldn’t be getting paid. His frown furrowed his brows further, he didn’t like to work for free.

He stepped on the gas as he headed for the mansion, parking haphazardly outside the gates. He went in through the side gates, absently waving at the guards manning the gates.

Keith grabbed the first person he saw indoors by the arm, his impatience bleeding through his voice.

"Where’s the boss?"

His tone must have sounded like urgency because the man looked concerned. "In his bedroom."

Keith thought that was a strange response but it wasn’t his place to question that. Why the fuck would the boss be in his bedroom?

But come to think about it, he hadn’t seen the boss for a couple days now, he had thought the Mafia King had gone on a business trip.

He did hear that his Mafia King had bought an Omega at an auction, maybe he was busy with... then would interrupting them be a great idea?

Maybe he should have asked for Jael instead.

Keith got to the door and hesitated for a bit, his informant hadn’t warned him not to come here so he supposed it was fine.

He would knock regardless, and unless he was explicitly told to come in, he would hotfoot his way away from there.
