Chapter 321: -Chapter 321-

Lake made sure to put the mobile closet in between them, wondering why he was going through so much effort, it wasn’t like there was anything the both of them hadn’t seen before.

His gold dress shirt was a darker shade than Davian’s, and it fit like a glove, the design simple and modest.

It was easy changing out of his current clothes, the outfit so comfortable that he thought of getting it anyway, for work.

The extravagant silk dress shirt Caspian got for him was more eye-catching and flattering, it was a tough decision to make.

Lake carefully glanced in Davian’s direction, sighing a silent breath of relief when he saw that the Alpha was fully dressed.

Davian turned around then like he could feel eyes on him, his necktie done up like a noose.

Lake laughed all the way to him, untying the worrying knot he did. "Why are you so good at tying nooses?"

Davian didn’t know how to tie a necktie, but he didn’t need to tie up a noose. He had done so anyway just to see Lake laugh, and it was completely worth it.

The necktie felt too restrictive and the suit jacket pinched his underarms, but the look in Lake’s eyes as he appraised him made all that discomfort fade to the background.

"What do you think?" He shamelessly fished for compliments.

"It looks really good on you," Lake gave him what he wanted, his hands itching to take a picture. "I need to take a picture."

Davian stood tall at the offer, proud to have his picture taken.

"This is a really good pair," Lake said as he scrolled through the pictures he had just taken, a small smile on his face, "But we can check out the rest."

"Let me help you with that," He quickly offered to take off Davian’s necktie, stepping into the Alpha’s personal space.

Lake was quick to send him back to his corner after taking off the tie, Davian taking his outfit with him.

This one was a different variation of formal wear, only that now they wore exactly the same thing.

Black dress shirts, and black pants, with a gold bow tie to pull the look together.

"We look like waiters," Lake said with an eye smile when it was time to show off their outfits again.

Davian reached out to adjust his hairband, "You look fine to me."

Lake just went to the next outfit, Davian said some really flustering things with such a straight face.

The next outfit made him frown, the first thing he pulled out was an odd outfit that looked like sleeveless tactical wear made out of solid gold.

Was this taken off a movie set? It became clear that it wasn’t a mistake on the shopping assistant’s part because a pair of black cargo pants came next.

He couldn’t believe that the shopping helper had actually found a set of clothes that wasn’t formal wear or straight-up suits.

He turned right to Davian without bothering to check what she paired with it. "There’s clothes you might actually like in here," He said proudly like he was the one that handpicked the outfits, handing them off to Davian who went right to his corner without being told.

"What the fuck?" Lake muttered under his breath when he brought his out.

It was a tank top... of sorts. It was a sheer sequin mesh top with a crisscross of glittery gold.

It being loose and going down to his wrists didn’t help much because it was practically see-through save for the little tank top attached to it.

The pants were also a little low-slung for his liking but if Davian could put on a suit, he could also try the outfit.

Lake glanced down after he put the outfit on, if he constantly remained on the move, maybe the fact that his top was sheer would be overlooked.

"Lake?" Davian’s concerned voice brought his head over the mobile closet. "Is something wrong?"

Lake gritted his teeth and stepped out then, getting a proper look at Davian for the first time. It made him forget to be self-conscious about his outfit for a short while, certain he was gaping at the Alpha.

"Your hairband is off-kilter," Davian interrupted him, stepping closer.

Lake gave in to the urge to touch Davian then, playing it off as simply admiring his outfit.

"This fits perfectly," He patted the Alpha’s chest and shoulders, not staying still for Davian to fix his hair.

Davian just gently held his face to keep him still, keeping his hair out of his face with the band.

"Do you like yours?" He asked as he took his hands away, patting himself on the back for keeping a straight face.

"It’s a festival," Lake avoided giving an answer, "And I really like yours, so let’s go with this pair instead."

Davian really wanted Lake to get to do everything he wanted to, but this was pushing it a little far, the sheer top drawing attention to his slender waist.

"Sure, let’s." He agreed unenthusiastically, his gray eyes flicking to the door when a knock came.

The shopping assistant nervously stepped in after she was invited in, "Have you made a choice?"

Lake’s hands were back on Davian’s shoulders, drawn in by the way the gold tank top molded perfectly to the Alpha’s muscled body.

"Yes," He piped up, he would probably regret his decision later... or not.

Lake was never the type to care about what others thought of him so he quickly got over his outfit, he did care about what Davian thought though.

"Or what do you think?" He included the Alpha in the decision-making, sounding unsure.

"What if you catch a cold?" Davian made excuses.

"We can both take jackets," Lake supplied, his hands finding themselves on Davian again.

"So you’ll be taking that?" The shopping assistant clarified, eager to leave the dressing room to them.

"Yes, thank you." Lake sealed the deal. "We should come shopping again." He said to Davian. "I’ll need clothes for work."
