Chapter 207: -Chapter 207-
The call rang a couple of times before the butler picked, making Davian’s frown deepen.
Arthur seemed to always have his face pressed to his phone because whenever he called, the butler barely let it ring before he picked up.
"Hello, Master Davian," The butler croaked.
Davian had to wonder if the butler had fallen sick because he was usually long awake by this time.
"Come to my study," He said shortly, hanging up.
This wasn’t something he could discuss over the phone; it was a bit of a touchy topic.
And if it weren’t for the out of place scent in his room, he wouldn’t have known that someone had been in his room.
His memories weren’t being at all helpful, so if they had to resort to using the mansion’s cameras to find the person out, he would.
He lounged behind his desk, trying not to think and failing.
Arthur was knocking at the door of his study in no time, and Davian allowed him in, stunned at what he saw then.
The butler had a bandage wrapped around his head, and he looked a hot mess.
"What happened to you?" He asked, momentarily forgetting about his issues in the face of the butler’s injuries.
The butler prided himself on being regal and pristine, he didn’t see the stuck-up Beta getting into a fight for whatever reason.
Arthur’s eyes went wide at the question, he had barely been able to sleep the night before, and it wasn’t because of his injuries.
When the Master summoned him, he had resigned him to whatever he would come to meet, he didn’t at all predict that the Master wouldn’t remember.
"Y-You don’t remember what happened last night, Master?" He asked carefully.
Davian’s expression became shuttered at his response. "Tell me everything you know."
Arthur shifted uncomfortably in his seat, he didn’t want to keep anything from the Master, but at the same time, he would prefer to only tell the Mafia King what was necessary.
It wouldn’t reflect well on his perfect image if the Master found out that the reason for yesterday’s unfortunate encounter was because he had been acting a tad out of line.
"A maid was finishing up the cleaning in your wing of the mansion when you returned early and a bit out of it," He started, picking and choosing his words with extreme care.
"I tried to get in between which was rather foolish of me. I hope the Master is feeling much better."
Davian stared blankly at the butler gratuitously bowing as he finished up his monologue.
He had been hoping that Arthur would tell him something good for once.
He had been hoping that he would say that there had been no one in his room, and he could write last night off as a bad dream.
"And do you know who this maid is?" He asked guardedly.
Arthur’s eyes were wide open in shock, "He’s not in your room?"
He?
Davian watched his butler panic, hiding his own panic better because with all that had happened, he didn’t think anything could surprise him again.
"Clearly not, if I’m asking." He bit out.
Arthur flinched at his tone, straightening up in his seat. "R-Right. My apologies, Master Davian."
"He’s Lake Hall, the son of Rob." He informed his Mafia King with a grimace on his face, unable to hide his distaste for them both.
Davian went quiet at that, Rob was a nuisance until the very day he died but he was always faithful to his Mafia House.
"I want you to find him and bring him to me." He leaned back in his seat, relaxed.
He had thought that it was someone who had taken advantage of his temporary lapse in judgment.
But if Arthur had been present and had ended up like this, it would seem that the Omega didn’t have a choice.
He was obligated to handle whatever damages he had caused, but the Omega would have to be let go from working here.
Arthur’s distaste was even more obvious at that, thinking that the Master had started taking a liking to the maid.
"There’s no reason for that Master Davian, I can relay whatever information you need him to know."
Davian’s slate gray eyes were cold and cutting, and without saying a word Arthur was sputtering trying to correct himself.
"I-I apologize once again, Master Davian," He shot to his feet, bowing deeply for someone with a head injury. "I don’t quite feel like myself today. I’ll get Lake to the mansion as soon as possible."
Davian didn’t spare him a second glance as he hurried out of the study, deep in thought.
After dealing with this Omega’s case, he would have to find a solution so that there wasn’t a repeat of this.

Arthur cursed colorfully as he walked away from the Master’s study.
There was no way Master Davian would be taken in by a mere maid, they were worlds apart.
Lake wasn’t even fit to lick the Master’s shoes, and he was going to make sure it remained that way.
He didn’t bother calling him, immediately making arrangements for a car and some men to drive over to the maid’s apartment and just physically take him.
Arthur was starting to wish that he had twisted the story a bit because the Master didn’t look like he remembered even a little of what happened the night before.
He could have twisted it to his favor, but it had been so unexpected, he hadn’t been expecting Master Davian not to remember.
He had a scowl on his face as they drove out of the mansion, the sun was just starting to rise.
Why had Lake even run off? Because of that, the chance for Master Davian to shoot him first and ask questions later was all gone.
He schemed all the way to the apartment complex, there had to be a way to turn this on Lake and get him out of the mansion for good.
