Captive Mate BL -

Chapter 198: +Chapter 198+
"Where are we going today?" Keith asked after they were all in the car.
Peter was driving and Keith had been the last to get into the car because he held open the door for him.
"To the store," Caspian said simply, noting that his bodyguards were taking the sight of him being newly mated better than the house staff had done.
"Are you going shopping for food?" Peter asked with interest.
"No, sunscreen," He corrected, making no effort to give any further explanation. "Then we’ll drop in on Asher," He tagged on.
There had been no need to go out shopping ever since Patty showed up, the accountant was indispensable.
She had made the arrangements for the necessary ingredients to be shipped to the mansion instead, and seeing as they always needed to bulk buy, it worked perfectly.
"Are your kids sunburnt?" The cashier made small talk as she rang up the sole tub of sunscreen that he bought.
Caspian didn’t know if that was a compliment or not because he knew he looked way too young for kids.
"No, my mate." The word rolled off his lips perfectly like he had always said it.
The cashier chuckled at that, "I’ve got so many people coming in today for sunscreen, we’ll run out of stock at this rate."
"Thank you, come again!" She waved at him, not batting an eyelid at his stoic bodyguards standing behind him.
The first thing he did when they got to the parking lot was make Keith and Peter put some on, which was forward thinking because the day was starting to get hot again.
Caspian’s lotion already had the necessary SPF in it but he also applied some of the sunscreen, it was needed with the sudden heatwave.
They got in the car next and drove to Asher, it was a club he hadn’t been in before.
The parking lot was noticeably smaller than the others he had seen, and he half wondered just how many his mate had.
Keith held the paper bag that had the sunscreen, and just as he held open the door for him the sky started to darken.
Caspian had a foot out as he stared at the sky in disbelief. "Are those thunderclouds rolling in?"
A loud clap of thunder answered his question, a sudden rain starting to pour down.
"Unbelievable." He muttered as he got down from the car.
"Caspian? Shouldn’t you get back in the car?" Keith suggested, sticking to his side.
"We’re already here, let’s just go in."
Having a conversation while raindrops were pelting them wasn’t exactly conducive, so they focused on hurrying into the club.
Caspian stood at the entrance of the club; this one had a small waiting room unlike other clubs that just opened into the main building.
The men standing in front of the doors had hurried forward and held a coat over his head to protect him from the rain.
But he was already pretty much soaked from the intensity of the rain so there was no need.
The cashier had a horrified look on her pretty face at the sight of him, immediately handing him a hand towel to wipe his face
"Thank you," He said gratefully as he dabbed the water from his face.
"Can you take me to Asher?" He asked the men.
Peter and Keith and dipped into a bathroom or backroom somewhere, no doubt to dry off and he didn’t blame them.
Caspian pulled his top away from his wet skin, it didn’t help matters much that he had worn a tank top because he had been expecting the day to get really hot.
"Right away," One of the bouncers were quick to replied, guiding him around the main floor of the club.
Caspian was grateful because goosebumps were already prickling his skin, the last thing he needed was an open room where the AC was on full blast.
This was the perfect time for Asher’s heavy ass coat to come in handy.
By the time they got to the door of Asher’s office, Caspian was full on shivering, so he impatiently opened the door and marched right in.
The bouncer that had led him here had looked so concerned the entire time, but he knew better than to offer his jacket if he didn’t want Asher breathing down his neck.
There was an important looking individual having a meeting with Asher and the Mafia King was clearly ticked to be interrupted.
That only lasted for the fraction of the second it took him to register a shivering Caspian.
Asher was on his feet and across the room in seconds, his coat coming off.
"Sorry to interrupt your meeting," Caspian whispered, looking and sounding like a drenched rabbit.
"It’s fine, why were you out in the rain?" Asher asked in confused concern, holding him tight like he hoped to pass some body heat through the heavy coat.
Caspian peeked around him to the man that was craning his neck trying to break it to get a glimpse at him. "Why don’t you finish up your meeting, I’ll wait for you."
Asher looked like he was about to protest, reluctantly giving in. "Get him warmed up in a private room."
Caspian gave Asher a smile to reassure him, waddling off after the man Asher had given orders to.
He sneezed as they started up the stairs, his damp hair sticking to his face.
After he was ushered into a decidedly warm hotel room, he hoped that Keith and Peter had gotten properly dried off.
"I’ll go get you a drink you warm up right away," The hulking man said nervously, hunching his shoulders so he looked less intimidating.
"Thank you," He appreciated, looking around the room.
He wondered if the club was a slash between a hotel and a club but the more he stayed in the room, the more he realized that it wasn’t outfitted for long term stays...
It was better suited for one-night stands.
