Captive Mate BL
Chapter 177: + - 177+

Chapter 177: +Chapter 177+

Asher sat on the edge of his bed, catching his tongue piercing between his teeth as he stared absently into the distance.

Jael had gotten rid of him in no time. More like he had ditched him at the movie room because he wouldn’t stop sighing and being a miserable bastard - his words.

Asher had put the movie off and then wandered back to the bedroom, there was little else to do but wait for Caspian.

And he was rewarded for his patience because less than an hour later, the door opened to the very person he had been waiting for.

The apron had partially hidden what he had been wearing but with it gone, Asher could properly see the shorts he had on.

Hazel-gold eyes were fixated on the lines where the shorts hugged his thighs.

He expected Caspian to walk over to him, frowning when the Omega beelined for the shower instead.

"Let’s eat dinner together, Asher..." Caspian was saying, stopping to take his boots off.

Asher tightly laced his fingers together, staring openly at Caspian’s ass as he hurriedly took his shoes off.

He continued the rest of the journey to the bathroom wearing heart printed socks, and he was speaking but Asher felt like his ears were filled with water.

He snapped out of whatever spell he had fallen under when Caspian closed the bathroom door behind him, his gaze dropping to the boots discarded in a hurry.

Asher got to his feet to take him without even thinking about it, pausing when he got to the closet about to place the boots on the shelves with the rest of Caspian’s shoes.

He had fallen into the domesticity of living with someone else without any difficulty, as a matter of fact, he could barely remember how he used to live without Caspian.

His eyes trailed over the heels, a tad surprised to still find them with the rest of his shoes. But they were clearly more than the rest of his shoes.

He made a mental note to ask Caspian if he wanted to get rid of them, and the rest of the clothes gotten for him when his gender was hidden.

"Asher?" Caspian’s voice came from behind him, startling Asher enough to drop the heeled shoe he had absently picked up.

He quickly sidled away from the shelf of Caspian’s shoes like he had been caught committing a crime.

When all that had happened was that he had let his thoughts get away from him, the shoes taking him back to the first week he had met Caspian.

"What were you doing?" The Omega asked curiously, he was wearing a bathrobe, his hair damp.

"Nothing," Asher said too quickly to be innocent, "I’ll let you get dressed," He cleared his throat, leaving for the room.

Caspian stood for a few seconds after Asher left, amusement on his face at the Alpha’s odd reaction.

He had to walk over to his shoes, wondering what had been so fascinating about them for Asher to not noticed when he stepped into the closet.

He noticed that the boots he had taken off in the room had been brought here, and it was clear that Asher had been the one to help him put them away.

His slight confusion changed to a gentle smile as he got dressed. At night, he cared little about what he wore because Asher was the only one to see him.

Caspian stepped into the bedroom to find Asher pacing as he waited for him.

"Is something wrong?" He had to ask when Asher didn’t immediately register his presence like he usually did.

The Alpha straight jumped out of his skin, making Caspian narrow his eyes. "Nothing, I was just waiting for you. You said we would eat dinner together."

Asher almost sounded like he expected him to take back his words, it made Caspian close the distance between them and take his arm.

The kitchens wouldn’t need him for the rest of the night, he had more or less made sure of that.

He would spend the time after dinner with Asher; the thought of that made him half-drag the Alpha in a hurry.

"That I did." He agreed with a happy smile, "Let’s go eat."

Jael was already at the dinner table when they got to the dining room, eating unapologetically.

"You guys were too slow." He let them know, studying them.

They were back to clinging to each other and hanging off each other’s words, and Asher’s mood had completely turned around.

As long as they were happy, Jael was content. He couldn’t say if it was because Caspian had taken over the handling of the kitchen, or if he was just biased, because why did the food taste so much better?

He could suggest to Asher for the Alpha to take tomorrow off but Caspian still looked very busy, so it was probably best they both did what they had to during the day and then spend the evening together like they were currently doing.

Or at least, he hoped that would be the case.

Dinner was barely over before there was a timid knock on the door, and a nervous maid gingerly opened the door.

She wilted underneath the cold glare Mafia King Asher shot her, but they needed the boss’ missus’ at the kitchens.

"Freya, what’s wrong?" Caspian, the sweet Omega was already on his feet and halfway across the dining room at the sight of her.

"We’re out of dishes," She whispered in dismay.

Caspian shared in her panic; less plates had been needed for lunch, so they hadn’t taken that into account. "I’ll be there soon, give me a moment."

Freya nodded, and just waited outside because she trusted that he would keep to his words.

"Is something wrong?" Jael was the one to ask.

"Just a little complication with dinner," Caspian replied quickly, walking to Asher’s side to place a kiss on the Alpha’s forward.

"Sorry to leave dinner early but I have to deal with it." He apologized, making his way out of the dining room wearing Asher’s shirt and bunny slippers.
