Chapter 114: +Chapter 114+

"Alright," Asher agreed still chuckling.

They were already approaching the first traffic stop and it was obvious that they would get there at the red light.

Caspian didn’t bother hiding his smile, excitement making the skin of his face feel hot.

His excitement diminished along with his smile when Asher stepped on the gas instead of slowing down, running the red light.

His expression changed to one of horror when the Alpha didn’t let up on the gas, easily going double the speed limit.

With every red light they crossed, he grew more and more concerned, their journey ending in less than half the time when Asher pulled into the cinema’s parking lot.

Caspian slowly turned to look at him then, "A simple no would have been fine," He said dryly.

"I wasn’t trying to say no," Asher said as he hastily undid his seat belt.

"Were you trying to get in a police chase then?" Caspian went right on, deadpan.

Asher’s actions were so startling he wasn’t even mad, just curious.

He followed Asher’s lead and undid his seat belt then, and that was Asher’s cue to pull him across the center console.

It was a little cramped, the small space forcing them to be up close to each other.

"Expecting me to stop when the light turns green is just cruel," Asher murmured, his eyes dropping to Caspian’s lips.

Caspian had to straddle Asher to be somewhat comfortable, the edge of the steering wheel digging into the small of his waist whenever he leaned back.

The realization of why Asher had done what he did hit slowly, the familiar sensation of Asher’s piercing touching every inch of his mouth first.

Caspian was certain his lungs were immediately filled with smoke, one started by the fire of their joining mouths.

Asher hadn’t been making up excuses when he said he didn’t want to be interrupted.

The Alpha took his time with the kiss, overwhelming Caspian’s senses that it took a while for him to gather his wit around himself to pull away.

He leaned back against the wheel, barely feeling the circular edge digging into his back.

He didn’t dare move closer to Asher because he looked like he was far from satisfied while Caspian was already seeing black spots in his vision.

And it was because it felt like his oxygen was getting cut off, Asher kissed him slowly, deliberately... it shouldn’t affect his breathing.

But that was easier said than done when every breath was a mouthful of Asher’s scent, and even now while they were separated, a smoky aftertaste remained on his tongue.

For several moments after the kiss ended, they just sat and stared at each other, the sexual tension between them fogging up the windows.

"You still owe me a driving lesson," Caspian broke the staring session, sounding out of breath still.

A devious light sparked in Asher’s eyes and Caspian was just happy to see it again that he made no comments about it.

Although, he had a feeling that Asher would find a way to make him regret the penalty that he made up.

"I do," Asher agreed easily, his gentle hold on his thighs riding higher, past his hips and settling on his waist.

Caspian would be content to sit like this for the rest of the night, the bruise on his back from the wheel would be totally worth it.

Asher closed the distance between them to pepper his face and neck with feather-light kisses, "We should head in."

Caspian hummed an unintelligible response, wrapping his arms around Asher’s shoulders to keep him in place when they should be getting out of the car.

They did eventually make it out of the car, the movie feeling less exciting now.

And he was right, the best part about watching movies with Asher was when they squeezed themselves into a way-too-small sofa.

He also missed Asher’s quips and their brief arguments about the most unnecessary things.

There were also way too many people...

Asher leaned close at that point, "Don’t you like the movie?"

Caspian sighed, he would hate to sound indecisive. He asked for this after all.

"I do," He lied.

Asher snorted at that, "You sound like a gun to your head."

"We’re almost halfway in, let’s just get to the end." He gave up on trying to convince Asher he was having a great time.

"I’m pretty sure we can just leave," Asher said at the same time that he caught his wrist.

Caspian’s eyes went wide when Asher started for the exit, pulling him along. He was barely able to grab the half-eaten bucket of popcorn.

It had been ridiculously overpriced, there was no way he was leaving it behind.

Fortunately, they had chosen a seat close to the aisle, and the seats were mostly empty because it was getting late.

Caspian still managed to get popcorn on someone and trip over another person.

And he had to wonder how Asher who was much bigger managed to move so effortlessly.

Asher held onto his hand until they got into the parking lot, the air cool and crisp, the sky an enchanting shade of blue.

"Still want to go to a restaurant?" Asher cocked a brow when he caught sight of the popcorn.

Caspian led the way forward now, holding his precious bucket of popcorn close. "I think I’ll pass."

He just wanted to get back to the mansion, where it was just him and Asher and the same nondescript detective shows they always watched.

"You really like popcorn that much?" Asher asked when they got in the car and Caspian was immediately munching on it.

"For the price, yes," He deadpanned, offering some to Asher.

"No, thanks," Asher turned his offer, starting up the car.

For the second time in a single evening, he was having concerning thoughts of getting something for Caspian just because he said he liked it.

But a popcorn maker seemed like a basic necessity for every home, it would be perfectly normal for him to get one.
