BOUND TO THREE ALPHAS -

Chapter 66: UNEXPECTED ALLIES
Chapter 66: Unexpected Allies
It was strange how the moonstone’s dying light made the walls of the room look. Magnus looked at the dead object around his neck with a scared and angry look on his face. "Impossible," he said under his breath as he shook the stone very hard.
"This cannot be!" But the howl that sounded in the dark showed him he was wrong.
Deep, powerful, and filled with old magic. A young woman came out from behind Alpha Lyra and stood in the light. Even in the dim flashlight light, her silver hair sparkled, and her wolf-gold eyes were filled with purpose. "My name is Serena of the Mountain Shadow Pack," she said, and for someone who looked so young, her voice was surprisingly strong.
"And I challenge Magnus’s right to lead this trial." Shocked gasps filled the room. A lot of older Alphas stood up very quickly. "You dare?" Alpha Drake roared. "You’re nothing but a child!" "A child old enough to see what you refuse to," Serena shot back. "This trial is based on fear, not justice." Magnus’s face turned purple with fury. "You have no power here, whelp. Sit down before I—" "Before you what?" Another voice interrupted from the entry. A tall young man with kind eyes and strong shoulders walked into the room. Behind him came three more Alphas, all young, all carrying themselves with quiet confidence. "Alpha Cameron of the River Bend Pack," the visitor introduced himself. "Alpha Zoe of the Moonlight Clan. Alpha Finn of the Whisper Valley Pack." He gestured to his friends.
"We stand with Alpha Serena." "This is outrageous!" Alpha Marcus clutched his chest, his breaths getting worse. "You cannot simply—" "Cannot what?" Serena’s eyes blazed. "Cannot think for ourselves? Cannot see that this process is a sham?" She pointed at Magnus. "He talks of tradition and strength, but look at his moonstone. Even the Moon Goddess herself rejects his ways." The older Alphas looked around nervously. The dead item hanging around Magnus’s neck seemed to mock everything they believed. "The girl is dangerous," Alpha Vera insisted, but her voice shook. "She corrupts our ways." "No," Alpha Cameron said strongly. "She evolves them. There’s a difference." "Evolution is death!" Drake slammed his fist against his stone chair. "Our ancestors would spit on this weakness!" "Our ancestors," Alpha Finn spoke for the first time, his voice gentle but firm, "also believed that females couldn’t lead packs. That omegas had no value. That might made right in all cases." He looked around the room.
"Were they correct about everything?" Silence stretched between the two groups of Alphas. Old versus young. Tradition versus change. Fear versus hope. Magnus sensed his control slipping. His hand moved to his belt, where a silver knife gleamed. "Enough debate," he snarled. "The sentence is death. Now." But as he raised the blade, the chamber doors burst inward. Three figures burst through the door, moving like deadly shadows. Kael’s grey eyes blazed with protective fury. Jace’s green gaze swept the room, calculating every danger. Rowan’s gentle blue eyes had turned hard as winter ice. "Touch her and die," Kael’s words carried the promise of violence. The older Alphas scrambled for weapons, but the triplets moved faster than lightning. Jace appeared behind Alpha Marcus, a blade at his throat. Rowan had Alpha Vera pinned against her chair. Kael faced Magnus directly, his own silver sword shining.
"How did you find this place?" Magnus demanded. "Same way you did," Rowan answered coldly. "We followed the stench of injustice." Liana’s heart soared at seeing them, but she pushed herself to stay calm. "Don’t," she called out. "This isn’t the way." "They’re going to kill you," Jace growled, his blade pushing closer to Marcus’s neck. "Maybe," Liana admitted. "But if you free me by force, they’ll say I’m exactly what they claim. A breaker of law and order." Kael’s sword trembled. "You want us to leave you here?" "I want you to trust me," Liane answered. "Like I trust you." The triplets exchanged looks. Years of friendship spoke in that single look. "What do you need?" Rowan asked quietly. "The moonstone," Liana whispered. "The one suppressing my skills. It’s around Magnus’s neck." Understanding flashed in Kael’s eyes. Without notice, he spun and grabbed Magnus.
The older Alpha was strong, but Kael was desperate. They crashed to the ground, fighting for control. "Get it!" Jace yelled, releasing Marcus to help his brother. Magnus’s fingers clawed at the silver chain, trying to keep his prize. But Rowan was there too, and three against one was no match. The moonstone flew across the room floor, its dead surface skittering through the dust. The moment it left Magnus’s area, power exploded through Liana’s body. Her wolf roared to life, silver fire blazing in her mind. But more than that—other voices joined her. Familiar, beloved sounds. Selene? Liana called out in her thoughts. We’re here, came the old Luna’s reply, strong and clear. Both of us. Mara too, another voice whispered, warm with love. My baby, we never left you. Tears streamed down Liana’s face as the links she’d thought lost forever blazed back to life. The silver chains still burned her skin, but now they felt like mere annoyances instead of pain. Power built inside her, old and new, borrowed and gifted, all swirling together in perfect harmony. The Alphas sensed the change instantly. Even the younger ones stepped back as energy radiated from Liana’s small body. "Kill her now!" Magnus screamed, scrambling for his fallen knife. "Before she—" His words cut off as Liana looked at him. Really looked at him. Her eyes blazed silver-white, twin flames of divine rage.
When she spoke, three voices came out as one—her own, Selene’s, and Mara’s. "You want to see corruption, Magnus?" The room walls shook with the power of her words. "You want to see what happens when someone truly destroys the natural order?" She smiled, and it was beautiful and terrible. "Look in a mirror." Magnus opened his mouth to reply, but Alpha Serena’s voice cut through the tension. "Wait," she said quickly. "Do you hear that?" Everyone froze, listening. From somewhere above them came the sound of running feet. Lots of them. And voices screaming orders. "They found us," Jace cursed. Magnus’s grin was vicious with victory. "My troops. A hundred fighters, armed and ready." The footsteps grew closer. "Surrender now," Magnus continued, "and I might let your mates live long enough to watch you burn." Liana tried her renewed power against the silver chains. Still trapped, but no longer useless. The footsteps reached the room doors. "Liana," Kael said quietly, his sword ready. "Whatever you’re going to do, do it fast." She closed her eyes, feeling Selene and Mara’s presence wrapped around her like armor. "Oh, Magnus," she whispered, her voice holding deadly promise. "You have no idea what you’ve unleashed." The doors burst open.
But the figures that poured through weren’t Magnus’s soldiers. They were wolves. Dozens of them. And at their head ran a massive silver she-wolf with eyes like stars. Magnus’s face went white with terror as he recognized the famous creature. "Impossible," he breathed. "She’s been dead for decades." The silver wolf changed mid-stride, becoming a woman with flowing hair and ageless features. "Hello, Magnus," the Moon Goddess herself said sweetly. "We need to talk."
