Chapter 94: Chapter 89: The only one (5)
Damian’s breath brushed against Gabriel’s face as he leaned in, his eyes intense, almost predatory. The air between them felt heavier, as if it were magnetically charged, impossible to resist. Gabriel’s heart raced, and he felt heat rising in his chest. Despite the growing feeling of helplessness in the pit of his stomach, he could not take his gaze away.
When Damian spoke again, he used a low, dangerous tone. "Last night," he began, his tone rougher, tinged with hunger. "You took the first step. But now it’s my turn."
Gabriel’s pulse quickened, a knot forming in his throat. Gabriel had felt Damian’s hunger in his eyes the night before, after their kiss, but now it was more, an undeniable need, a claim he couldn’t deny. The hunger was no longer just possessiveness; it was a deeper, primal desire that swept through the emperor.
Damian cupped Gabriel’s face with a firm but gentle hand, tilting his head just enough to seal their lips together again. This kiss felt different, more desperate than the last. Damian’s lips pressed harder against Gabriel’s, and he gave in, melting under the emperor’s intensity. The kiss served as both an assertion of control and an invitation to give in to their growing tension. Gabriel’s hands found Damian’s waist, bringing him closer and feeling the strength of his body as it pressed against his.
The kiss deepened, resulting in a seamless entanglement of lips and breath. Damian’s hand slid to the back of Gabriel’s neck, bringing him closer until there was no more space between them. Gabriel’s chest tightened, his heart pounding as if it wanted to escape. Damian’s touch seemed to awaken every nerve in his body, igniting a fire Gabriel wasn’t sure he could contain.
Damian’s lips pressed harder against his, a hunger in every movement, as if the kiss was more than a fleeting desire, demand. Gabriel’s pulse quickened, his chest tightened as Damian pressed down on him, and the heat between them became unbearable.
Damian moved his hand from Gabriel’s shoulder to the nape of his neck, brushing against the skin there. The soft touch initially sent a wave of warmth through Gabriel, but when Damian’s fingertips brushed against the scar that marked Gabriel’s skin, his entire body froze. His breath caught, and he felt a knot form in his chest.
Damian paused, his hand hovering over the scar. His fingers traced the edge of it, feeling the ridges beneath the skin as if trying to understand or absorb the memory of what it represented. His breath caught in his throat, and he tightened his grip on the armrests, letting out a subtle growl.
Gabriel’s eyes fluttered closed at the touch, his skin burning where Damian’s fingers lingered.
Damian’s fingers lingered over the scar, carefully tracing its ridges. Gabriel’s breathing quickened and his body tensed, but Damian moved before he could react any further.
In one fluid motion, the emperor slid one arm around Gabriel’s waist and the other beneath his legs, effortlessly lifting him out of the armchair.
Gabriel’s breath left him in a sharp exhale, his hands instinctively gripping Damian’s shoulders. "Damian—"
But the emperor was relentless. He turned and sat in the same chair, pulling Gabriel into his lap as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Gabriel stiffened, his body caught between resistance and something far more dangerous: acceptance. He could feel Damian’s chest rising and falling steadily beneath him, as well as the strength in his arms.
"We would have enough time to do this once you became my Empress." He said, resting his head on Gabriel’s shoulder.
"About this, would I have to participate in elections for the future Empress?" Gabriel knew he had everything he needed to win: a strong, noble lineage, a powerful family, the status of dominant omega and influence in his domain.
Damian chuckled softly, the sound echoing through Gabriel’s chest as he drew him closer, if that was even possible. His breath brushed against Gabriel’s ear, sending shivers down his spine.
"Participating in elections?" Damian’s voice was playful, but it had an undeniable edge to it. "You know the answer, Gabriel." He shifted slightly, his hands now resting on Gabriel’s waist, thumbs brushing over the fabric of his clothes. "There is no reason for the palace to waste time and effort when everybody knows the answer. I’ve made sure they know."
Gabriel’s breath caught as Damian’s words settled in. He could not understand the man; he was calm and patient with him physically, but when it came to claiming Gabriel as his own, he wasted no time.
He did not care about rumors; most of the people responsible for spreading them would lose interest in a few weeks, and his status as a von Jaunez working for Claymore served as a shield against this.
Damian’s lips found his throat, brushing lightly against his skin, sending waves of heat through Gabriel’s body. A short moan escaped Gabriel’s lips.
’Damian is the only one that can make my body react this way.’ He reflected with his hand clenched on Damian’s military blazer, the dense material barely creased by his force. He knew the Emperor was aroused because he could feel the hardness beneath him. Gabriel shivered with pleasure at the thought that Damian was affected by him.
"Do you know what it means, Gabriel?" he asked, his breath a seductive warmth against Gabriel’s skin. "Being chosen by me? It means I’ll never let you go. You’ll be mine, body, soul, everything."
Gabriel’s body tensed at the words, his chest tightening from conflicting emotions. Part of him wanted to fight, to reject the idea of being so completely devoted to Damian. But he knew better. He straightened himself, trying to get out of the man’s embrace, but he didn’t seem to want to let Gabriel go. Not yet.
Gabriel sighed and accepted that he had to stay there. "Well, I am expecting the same in return. I am not the one to share, Your Majesty."
