Born To Rise In Konoha -
Chapter 62
Chapter 62 - 62
"The one in front is the recently famous Jonin, Minato Namikaze! And the silver-haired guy in the back is the genius of the Hatake clan—Hatake Kakashi! He's incredibly strong. Even you, Saitama, might not be his match!"
At this moment, Shisui seemed to be completely in fan mode, eagerly introducing his idol to the others.
"I know." Saitama narrowed his eyes, locking onto Kakashi with a calm, assessing stare.
"Sensei, sensei, let's eat here! The atmosphere looks great!"
At the entrance, Obito Uchiha jogged in with small, eager steps—his energy overflowing like a mischievous child.
"What do you think, Rin?" Minato turned to the only girl on the team, his golden hair catching the light as he smiled.
"Well, since Obito seems so excited, let's eat here. It's been a while since we had barbecue, anyway." Nohara Rin glanced at Obito, a trace of helplessness in her gentle expression.
"Rin is the best! Yes!" Obito raised a triumphant fist into the air, grinning widely.
"Idiot," Kakashi muttered under his breath.
"Huh?" Noticing he was being watched, Kakashi turned his head toward the restaurant interior and spotted three unfamiliar shinobi seated at a table. They wore similar black outfits. The tallest one had his back to him, but the Uchiha clan crest was clearly visible on his clothes—same as Obito's.
He also noticed a younger boy leaning against the older shinobi's chair, a shinobi sword resting beside him. It was the same boy who had looked at him earlier—Saitama.
Saitama gave Kakashi a slight nod and smiled. He genuinely admired Kakashi. He was, after all, a recognized genius—quick-witted and brave on the battlefield.
Kakashi was momentarily surprised but returned a quiet nod. Though he didn't recognize Saitama, he could sense no hostility—only a calm confidence.
"What's wrong, Kakashi? Do you know them?" Minato followed Kakashi's gaze and noticed the group inside the restaurant. His eyes settled on the man with the Uchiha crest.
"Uchiha Sen, you're here too?" Minato greeted him warmly.
"Let's head in," Minato said with a smile, leading his team inside.
"Sen, it's good to see you," Minato approached the table with his usual gentle smile. As fellow Jonin and respected shinobi of Konoha, Minato and Uchiha Sen were already acquainted.
"The grilled meat here is quite good—you should try it," Sen said casually, leaning back in his chair.
"Then we'll definitely give it a try," Minato replied. He also gave a polite nod to Saitama and Shisui, who were seated across from Sen.
Saitama couldn't help but feel a certain warmth from Minato's presence. His smile had a way of making people feel at ease.
"Hello, Minato-sensei!" Shisui stood up and bowed politely. He had long admired Minato, a prodigy who had risen from humble origins.
Minato chuckled softly at Shisui's enthusiasm and gave a small wave.
"Why don't we sit at the next table?" he said, motioning to his team.
"Sen-senpai!" Obito quickly greeted Uchiha Sen. As a fellow Uchiha, he knew of Sen's reputation as the right-hand man of the current clan head—a young and formidable shinobi.
As for Saitama and Shisui, the Uchiha clan was large, and not everyone was familiar with each other unless they had direct dealings.
"Hello," Sen nodded in acknowledgment. He vaguely remembered Obito—he'd heard the boy had recently made Chunin.
Rin, seated with her team, glanced over curiously at the other table. There was something about the ninja sitting with the sword that gave her an instinctive sense of danger.
He's younger than us, Rin thought as she studied Saitama.
"Boss! Thirty plates of meat!" Obito shouted excitedly after sitting down.
"R-right away! Please wait a moment!" the restaurant owner said, hurrying to the back.
"Let's eat. Meat like this isn't something you get every day," Saitama said as he pulled Shisui back to sit with him.
Minato smiled at the lively atmosphere and returned to his own table, not bothering the others further.
"Sensei, who were those guys?" Rin asked softly once they were seated. Kakashi, pretending to ignore them, kept an ear open while glaring suspiciously toward the kitchen.
"That was Uchiha Sen, a Jonin of the Uchiha clan. As for the other two, I'm not sure. Probably juniors of his. They looked skilled, though," Minato replied thoughtfully.

Later...
Saitama's appetite had grown significantly of late. Of the 50 plates of barbecue ordered, he'd eaten nearly 30 by himself—drawing surprised looks from those around him.
Good thing Shisui had the foresight to order that many, or they wouldn't have had enough.
Sipping the herbal tea offered by the restaurant, Saitama leaned back in his seat.
"Minato, we'll be heading out now," Sen stood up and addressed the Yellow Flash.
"Alright, Sen. Take care. We're going to hang around a little longer," Minato replied, smiling as he set his chopsticks down.
"Delicious!" Obito exclaimed, his voice high-pitched like a pig's squeal, causing Kakashi to visibly cringe and scoot away.
As Saitama passed their table with his sword now hanging loosely from his waist, he said casually to Kakashi, "Let's have a match sometime."
Kakashi paused, glanced up at him, and gave a small nod. He didn't know how strong Saitama was, but he could sense his confidence. Kakashi responded out of politeness—but also curiosity.
"Let's go, Shisui!" Saitama called. Shisui was still at the counter, paying the bill with a distressed expression. It looked like his wallet had been emptied.
He gave another nod to Minato's table before hurrying after the others.
"Wait up, Saitama!"
"Shisui? Saitama?" Minato repeated softly, recognizing the names. He'd heard of both before—young geniuses, said to have graduated early like Kakashi.
He smiled and returned to eating, chewing thoughtfully like a scholar lost in his own world.
---
Outside...
"How was it?" Sen asked calmly as they walked.
"Kakashi? He's strong... but not quite there yet," Saitama replied. He understood Sen was asking for his evaluation.
After all, Saitama had already slain several Jonin in battle. A Chunin-rank Kakashi, no matter how talented, wasn't a threat in his eyes.
"Oh? Don't get cocky, Saitama. Genius like that isn't something you can measure by rank alone," Sen chuckled, his tone teasing and relaxed.
"Is Saitama really that amazing?" Shisui asked curiously. He knew Saitama had done well on the battlefield, but had never learned the details. He hadn't asked, and Saitama didn't volunteer information.
"It's nothing special, Shisui," Saitama said, brushing it off as they walked.
Shisui tilted his head, eyeing both Sen and Saitama, but said nothing further.
"Let's go back and keep training. A new year's coming up, and missions will start again soon," Saitama said, his tone light.
"Alright!" Shisui nodded. Sen remained silent.
When they returned to the training grounds, the rest of the Uchiha police force was just finishing lunch. The food from the clan kitchens was good today—plenty of meat—but even so, it didn't compare to the restaurant barbecue.
