Chapter 52: MATING KNOT

"{In love and mating, ambiance is central."}

We left the sacred cave in silence, the weight of Gerod’s warning pressing down on us like an unshakable force. As we made our way back to our usual meeting point, I replayed his words over and over in my mind.

I had underestimated the evil rising in our midst. I had thought this was merely a scheme crafted by greedy individuals within the Bay Shifter Pack, those who had conspired with Paradise Coven for power and influence. But now, the truth was far more terrifying. This wasn’t just about betrayal or politics. There was an ancient darkness stirring, something sealed within the Bloodstone Mountain, the very heart of Paradise Coven’s existence.

Freyr interrupted my spiraling thoughts. "I’m going fishing," he said suddenly, his tone casual despite the tension in the air. "I’ll be back in a few minutes."

I barely registered his words, only managing a nod as he disappeared into the distance. My feet carried me back to the cave on instinct, and as soon as I reached the familiar space, I sank onto the cool stone floor. A deep sigh escaped me as I rubbed my forehead, frustration and unease battling within me.

What had we gotten ourselves into?

Deep in thought, I barely noticed the shift in the air until the scent of roasted fish filled the cave. My stomach let out a loud, traitorous growl, pulling me back to the present. I turned toward the entrance, instinctively pushing my senses outward. That’s when I heard Freyr’s voice, laced with amusement.

"You need to join me outside," he called. "I’ve made a fire and a meal for you. That growl of yours isn’t exactly a pleasant sound."

A chuckle escaped me as I stood and walked out of the cave. The sight that greeted me made warmth bloom in my chest. Freyr had built a small camp, cozy and well-prepared, just for the two of us. The fire crackled gently, illuminating the night in soft golden hues, and there he was, crouched by the flames, expertly roasting the fish.

I sank onto the logs he had arranged, watching him in fascination. "You seem to know your way around a kitchen," I teased. "That’s quite a surprise, considering your kind only feeds on blood."

Freyr chuckled, flipping the fish effortlessly. "Curiosity led me to taste different kinds of meats and dishes over the years," he admitted. "My Pa had these ancient books in his office filled with all sorts of recipes. I never understood why he collected them... until I met you."

His crimson eyes softened as he spoke, and something deep inside me stirred. Fate. That single word held so much meaning. My heart skipped a beat as I stared at him, awed by this man—this powerful being who had somehow become mine. Gale whined in happiness, a sound of contentment that echoed the emotions flooding my soul. Freyr had been destined for me, and I for him.

Freyr watched me polish off the fourth fish, his crimson eyes gleaming with amusement. He chuckled, shaking his head.

"When was the last time you had a meal?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity.

I spoke between bites, barely looking up from my food. "Before I left the Bay Shifter pack, I had a light meal," I admitted, tearing another piece of fish with my teeth.

Freyr stared at me, lips twitching as if holding back laughter. "You need to replenish your body," he stated smoothly. "Or else, you won’t be able to handle our lovemaking."

The words slammed into me like a boulder. My jaw dropped, and before I could even form a response, Freyr was gone, disappearing into the cave in a blur of vampire speed.

"Damn it, Freyr!" I choked out, nearly inhaling my food in shock. Cursing under my breath, I grabbed the water urn he had prepared, gulping it down to soothe my throat and, hopefully, cool the heat rising in my body.

After finishing my drink, I took a deep breath and focused on cleaning up the camping area. I covered the remains of the fire with tree branches, making sure everything was concealed before slowly making my way back to the cave.

Inside, the dim glow of the fire flickered against the stone walls, casting long shadows. My eyes landed on Freyr, sprawled across the fur blankets like he owned the world. His bare chest rose and fell in a slow, steady rhythm, and the sight of him lying there, looking both inviting and dangerous, sent my heart into overdrive.

I exhaled sharply, stepping inside, my body tense with anticipation. "You’re impossible," I muttered.

Freyr smirked without even opening his eyes. "And yet, you can’t resist me."

I moved with speed and landed on top of Freyr undressed him and pushed my cock into him and we both moaned from the pleasure. The heat between us was different and I turned him into a spoon position, grabbed his neck, and placed my arm near his mouth and Frery hissed in response.

"Bite me "I commanded hi.m

His fangs descended on me and the bite hardened my cock driving me g into a frenzy I hammered into him over and over and the scent of his cum hit my nostrils my hand lowered to his cock and it was twitching as he shattered and I rubbed it hard as Freyr moaned so loud and the second orgasm hit him and unlatched his teeth and roared so loud that the cave shook. The muscles of his rim squeezed my cock so hard and Gale commanded me to complete the mating and knot Freyr.

"Love, Can I know you?" I begged while trembling.

"What? "Freyr rasped as he came done from the high.

"We must complete the mating and for a shifter, it’s called knotting "I licked the bite on his shoulders and Freyr nodded and moaned.

His acceptance had me growling and I began to hammer into him as he let out gasps, moans, and whimpers. The fact that Freyr consented to completing the mating made me fall over the edge and then we both felt the way the knot grew and then I shattered inside of him and it was my turn to roar out loud. Cum filled his hole as our bodies trembled and our breathing slowed as the knot grew and Freyr’s breath hitched.

"What?" He whispered and turned his head around as our eyes clashed.

"Do you like it?" I whispered as I pressed kisses on his lips.

"I feel so full" He confessed." Sated with your blood and cock. I can’t explain how wonderful it feels"

His words geared me on and it was almost dawn when we both blacked out and lay in the fur blankets holding each other, arms and legs wrapped around each other.

It was Midday the next day and the time arrived sooner than I had wanted, marking the time for us to part ways. Freyr and I stood by the cave’s exit, the air thick with unspoken words. We had cleaned up, leaving no trace of our presence, erasing every sign of the night we had spent together.

Our plans were set. Freyr had promised to send word once he gathered solid evidence about what was happening in Bloodstone Mountain, while I had given my word to do the same after meeting with the Generals of the Bay Shifter Pack.

He turned to me, his crimson eyes sharp with curiosity. "How do you plan to deal with Aqua and her father?"

I met his gaze, my resolve unwavering. "The only way is to be ruthless and show them who the true Alpha of the pack is."

Freyr tilted his head slightly, considering my words before nodding. "If we let emotions control us, if we show even the slightest weakness, it will lead to disaster," he warned. "The best thing is to push the bugs out of Aqua, and if she dies in the process... so be it. She’s compromised. Keeping her in the council would be a mistake."

His words held a truth, one I had already accepted. I nodded in understanding. "And what about you?" I asked, shifting the focus. "How do you plan to deal with Lord Marcel? He’ll be expecting news about me."

Freyr chuckled, his smirk laced with amusement. "Lord Marcel has enough on his hands now that he’s heard someone is heading to Bloodstone Mountain. His attention will be divided. But one can never be too careful," he added, his tone darkening. "In five days, I’ll infiltrate the Bay Shifter Pack in disguise. He won’t see it coming."

I smirked at the idea. "Good. My men will be ready for you," I assured him, stepping closer. "I look forward to seeing your disguise."

Freyr’s lips quirked into a knowing grin. "You won’t be disappointed Alpha"

We stood there for a moment longer, neither of us moving, as if reluctant to leave. Then, with a final nod, we turned in opposite directions, each walking back home, to the treachery and evil of our people and my heart heavy with the fact that I was leaving my mate behind and wished that each of us did not have the responsibilities that were tied to us.
