Chapter 42: Please Help My Brother
In an instant, Killian Stone’s legs weakened, and he nearly collapsed to the ground, overwhelmed by the piercing sharpness of Noah’s words that struck him like a dagger to the heart.
Grabbing the cashier counter, Killian Stone stood on his feet as he tried to calm the frightening feeling that engulfed him.
’How does this young man know about that? Who is he?’
Countless questions now swirl in Killian Stone’s mind as he tries to figure out who Noah is.
’Is this man someone I shouldn’t offend? No way! I know every wealthy individual and their family in this town and have never seen him at any soiree and gatherings. Not once. Never!’
Killian Stone was still trying to calm his mind and find the answer, but nothing could lead him to know the identity of this young man.
After a few more seconds, Killian Stone feels slightly calmed down and realizes this young man must be bluffing. He was just someone with a bit of money who thought he had the power to pressure him.
A sinister smile appeared on Killian Stone’s lips. He feels much better when seeing a few guards outside the shop.
Standing firmly again, Killian Stone turned to the doorway.
In an annoyed tone, he said, "What the hell are you guys doing there? Are you guys trying to collect dust? Come, hurry, capture this young man. I need to send him to the police! Hurry!"
Noah was left speechless. He didn’t expect Killian Stone to be so daring and to have that smug expression now.
...
While in the corner, Alicia was surprised to see her brother trying to pressure the CEO of this Supermall.
She could see that her brother seemed confident, and she felt relieved that these people couldn’t harm him.
Alicia’s smile grew wider when she saw the spoiled girl’s frightening expression upon seeing her brother. She looked like she was staring at a ghost, ready to swallow her.
However, it didn’t take long. Alicia’s smile faded when the bald man suddenly called for the guard to detain her brother.
Hurriedly, she looked at Jason beside her.
"Jason, please help my brother. They might hurt him..." She pleaded in panic, turning her gaze back to Noah.
She added, "My brother never fights. Everyone knows he is weak both physically and emotionally. He has never harmed even an ant in his entire life..."
Jason almost laughed hearing Alicia’s words.
"Relax, no one will hurt him..." Jason says with calmness, though he feels anxious inside. He remains alert and is prepared to take action if they attempt to lay a hand on him.
Jason’s words failed to calm Alicia down. He continued her words, "But, Jason, look... the ugly bald uncle looked madly furious. What if the guard really drags Brother Noah to the police? Oh no, I can’t let that happen..."
Alicia pleaded while she looked up to meet Jason’s gaze, but he focused solely on Noah.
"How could anyone drag him if he acts like that?" Jason said, motioning for Alicia to also look at Noah.
Alicia’s jaw dropped in shock as she gazed at Noah.
’Wow! I can’t believe brother Noah managed to twist a guy’s hand that size! Since when has he had such power?’
Her eyes blinked as she gazed at the man, who was now half-kneeling before Noah, letting out a scream of pain.
"Jason, my brother..."
"Yes. Your brother can fight!" Jason said calmly.
His gaze remained vigilant, and he closely observed the situation; if the threat overwhelmed Noah, he would jump in immediately to protect Noah.
Jason had only heard from Matthew yesterday that Noah could fight, so he decided to hold back for a moment when he noticed a commotion ahead.
He wanted to see for himself if Noah really had the fighting skills he’d been told about.
What he witnessed left him in disbelief. With swift and forceful movements, Noah effortlessly twisted the hand of a bigger man. His powerful kick could even directly hit the unfortunate man’s tendon, causing him to fall to the floor.
’Noah, you changed a lot! You appear like a new person in my eyes...’
Jason smiled faintly as he continued observing what Noah was doing now: punishing those who tried to humiliate his sister.
...
"You intend to harm my people? Didn’t you consider that all those CCTVs are recording you now?"
Killian Stone asked, feeling quite pleased to have captured this foolish man. He now had the evidence needed to send the young man to jail.
However, Noah didn’t respond to his words.
Instead, he smiled upon seeing a man in a black suit enter the shop. He recognized him as the same person who had been at the hospital: Seven, the leader of the Red Team.
Noah finally released the guard and kicked him once more before he looked at Seven and gave a slight nod as Seven bowed respectfully at him.
"Mr. Killian Stone, you must come with us!" Seven’s piercing tones startled Killian.
"Who are you?" Killian questioned, puzzled.
"I’m the guy the head office would send to keep people like you from becoming a threat to the company and its shareholders. You are under investigation for embezzlement of company funds and other alleged criminal acts that have caused financial losses to the company."
Seven paused to send his icy smile to Killian before continuing casually, "Do you want me to expose you here or elsewhere?"
Killian almost choked at his words. He wanted to speak, but Seven interrupted, "Drag him out! He’s wasting our time..."
Two people with a similar vibe to Seven appeared and flanked Killian, forcibly dragging him out of the shop.
Everything happened so quickly, shocking everyone in the shop and outside, when they saw a man being forcefully dragged out of the brand shoe store.
"Daddy... Daddy... wait, why are you dragging my Dad...?" Betty Stone shouted in shock as she ran after her father, trailing behind them as they exited the store.
Seven smirked as he instructed his man to drag the guard out of the shop before he approached Noah.
"Sir, I apologize for the inconvenience. You may shop in peace now. There will be nothing to worry about; we will serve you here and care for everything you need..."
"Hmm, thanks, Seven..." Noah smiled as he patted his shoulder and turned to Alicia.
"Let’s go, Alice... you still need to buy clothes, right?"
Still in shock from what she saw, Alicia quickly nods and hurries to Noah. Jason also follows her.
Before Noah leaves the shop, he instructs Seven to punish the incompetent staff. He can’t stand someone with her attitude working in one of his businesses.
...
While walking to the next store, Alicia couldn’t resist asking, "Bro, when did you call your backup? I didn’t see you call earlier?"
Jason was also curious; he glanced at Noah while waiting for his answer.
"They are always around, watching over me. However, they only show themselves when I am in danger." He answers them honestly but does not reveal how to communicate or reach out to them. Naturally, it’s through his system.
Seven and his team appear to help only because he punished Killian Stone. Without this choice, they might not assist unless his life is endangered.
