The Dark Knight’s Blasphemy Sword!

As a high-level Undead, the Dark Knight, just like other Undead, had the ability to attack the souls of their targets. Their most powerful weapon was the Black Knight’s Sword in their hands, condensed from half of their own spirit.

It was the Dark Knight’s weapon for devouring the souls of other beings, even the believers of deities would have their souls shattered beneath the sword.

For this reason, the Dark Knight’s Knight’s Sword was also known as the Blasphemy Sword.

All this information was what Charlotte had learned from the memories that emerged when Sebastian drew his weapon from the void.

Not only that, but she also found out that Sebastian had acquired this Blasphemy Sword during his travels in the Dark Domain when he was still at the Blazing Sun Third Tier after he had slain a Dark Knight.

Such an experience of a Blood Contract was... really quite suitable for gossipmongers.

When Charlotte was possessing Sebastian’s perspective, all his secrets seemed to open up to her, except for those memories buried deep in his heart that he was unwilling to recall. Sebastian had almost become transparent to her.

"You actually recognized it, that’s really insightful."

Sebastian seemed surprised.

After speaking, he solemnly stopped conversing with the Great Knight and slowly approached him, raising the Flame Sword in his hand.

"Fallen evil! The Holy Light will judge you! The Holy Light will one day judge you!"

The Great Knight exclaimed angrily.

However, with his soul severely damaged, he no longer had the strength to fight.

Without hesitation, Sebastian swung his sword.

Accompanied by a piercing scream, the soul of the Great Knight was directly shattered, and the fragmented spiritual power was absorbed by the Blasphemy Sword in Sebastian’s hand.

The Great Knight of the Blazing Sun Third Tier, one of the three giants of the Bold Duchy alongside the Duke and the Great Priest, fell in such a suffocating and ludicrous manner.

Only a shell that still exuded a holy aura remained.

After killing the Great Knight, Sebastian used another blast of Blasphemy Fire to turn his corpse to ashes, then turned his gaze to the other Judgement Knights and priests.

The other Judgement Knights and priests were stunned for a moment, then without any hesitation, they turned and fled.

But Sebastian was faster.

Wielding the Blasphemy Sword, he was like a demon returned from Hell, quickly catching up to the Clergy one by one, and then, as he had killed the Great Knight, shattered their souls.

After killing the last Judgement Knight, Sebastian did not stop, but silently uttered a spell and summoned black flames from the Blasphemy Sword to burn the entire battlefield.

With the burning of the black flames, the surrounding ground soon took on a faint cold aura; it was the pollution of the Undead’s Blasphemy Fire.

This polluting power of the Undead was not severe and would fade within a week at most, but it was enough to conceal the traces and essence left by Sebastian.

All supernatural powers possess a certain polluting ability, also called "leaving traces." Some Transcendents with special powers could even trace the identity of other Transcendents through these supernatural traces.

What Sebastian did was to eradicate evidence, to prevent others from connecting the battle here to himself.

Only after burning the entire scene did Sebastian stop, looked silently at the Blasphemy Sword in his hand, put it away, and murmured,

"Now... no one knows the secret of the Lady of the Dark Night."

Watching from the shadows, Charlotte hadn’t expected Sebastian to have such a cautious side to him, it seemed that there was good reason he had managed to survive the pursuit of the Adam Church for so long.

Not long after Sebastian finished destroying the evidence, two powerful auras approached from afar, closing in rapidly.

Sebastian’s gaze sharpened, and Charlotte’s heart stirred.

Those two auras were no weaker than the Great Knight; clearly, they were two Blazing Sun Professionals.

It was the Bold Duke and the Great Priest.

Charlotte’s heightened perception in her possessed state made her aware of the other’s identity.

Clearly, the intensity of the battle fluctuations between Sebastian and the Great Knight had been too strong, attracting the two Blazing Sun Strong from Bold City even though they were outside its walls.

But Charlotte was ready to pull back.

To assassinate a Judgement Knight who had uncovered the "Evil God" was enough.

In fact, she could kill the Great Knight only because he was too bold, rushing in with his Spiritual Force Field wide open, leading to a close encounter with Charlotte’s consciousness that left him severely injured.

If it had been a fair fight, the outcome would be uncertain.

The Third Tier of the Blazing Sun were all monsters, and who knew what other cards they might have up their sleeves.

Charlotte had read in the Church’s texts that some Blazing Sun Clergy could summon Holy Angels of legendary prowess at the cost of their own lives.

Charlotte had yet to master the power of "True Ancestor Liberation," nor did she know how to recover from using such power, so she did not want to engage with the Bold Duke and the Great Priest.

Especially the Duke, although he coveted Castel, at least... from his perspective, he had truly treated Charlotte with kindness, despite their different standings.

Charlotte did not want to further weaken her hand or increase the risk of exposure.

She decided to withdraw.

Without further hesitation, Charlotte decisively made contact with Sebastian’s consciousness.

And Sebastian heard a familiar voice echo in his mind,

"You did well this time, come back."

Affirmed, Sebastian nearly burst with excitement instantly.

But soon, he noticed layers of red radiance wrapping around him, and a magnificent, mysterious array pattern appeared beneath his feet.

Transportation? Was it the Lady of the Dark Night?

A thought flickered through Sebastian’s mind.

The next second, his figure vanished in the brilliance.

Not long after Sebastian’s disappearance, two streaks of light rushed over from a distance.

One silver, and one gold.

It was Andre, the Bold Duke, and Linus, the Great Priest.

The old Duke was still dressed in his casual home attire, his white hair only half-combed, clearly having rushed over in haste.

The Great Priest was much the same, still wearing his clerical robes for worship services, evidently hurrying over as soon as he felt the battle fluctuations.

However, their expressions were overly somber.

Such seriousness seemed out of place for merely being drawn by Blazing Sun Level battle fluctuations...

The Great Priest’s gaze fell on the chaotic scene, his eyes quickly turning towards a damaged Ring Cross Holy Emblem in the dirt.

He slightly lifted his hand, and his powerful spirit drew the Holy Emblem towards him, inspecting it for a moment before his expression grew even more grave:

"It’s Ed..."

"He was murdered."

The Bold Duke’s expression shifted subtly.

Ed was the name of a Judgement Knight of the Bold Judgement Court.
