Chapter 91: XCI. The Edge of the Universe

This mad woman had never intended to let him go from the start; she was trying it out herself.

"What do you mean, seeing me out, at least you should open the door, right?"

Liszt didn’t really care, seeing as he no longer cared about his face or his life, having been isolated for millennia by divine paths. He made no more fuss and prepared to jump straight out of the window.

The faint fire flickered in the fireplace, rendering the already dim space even colder.

It seemed Dreya was already getting angry, and if it were not for the Curse Artifact inside Liszt, she would just need to cast a spell to make him her permanent servant.

She hated herself for not having done so earlier. This scum was too special, like something from an Alien Celestial Body, with his addictive blood. Such poisonous stuff was hard to discard; she even restrained herself to merely tasting a little each time, fearing that if he died, she’d have no more supply. Not only that, but also his... malicious tricks—it had come to the point where she could no longer do without him.

Dreya had completely gone mad due to Liszt’s Transformation Skill.

"If you want a divorce, it’s not impossible, but it still requires clergy certification; only then does it count. You come back every few months, that’s all the capability you have, it’s just me tolerating you."

Dreya said nonchalantly, sitting back on the sofa. Her mind wasn’t that of a naive young girl; she had long endured Liszt’s financial maneuvers and life-threatening outbursts.

Liszt, with his tongue pushing against his cheek, knew Dreya wasn’t unreasonable when it came to priests. But traditional customs of the Western Continent dictated that one should find a priest from the Holy Spirit Church to certify the divorce, get the blessing of the God of Love, and have family and friends come over for a banquet.

"Where the hell do I find a priest in this godforsaken place?" Liszt gave in, considering the mad woman had previously abducted one from the neighboring island. He suddenly remembered Caroso was on that island too, someone capable of officiating, but he couldn’t afford to spoil major plans over this, so he changed his tactic. "Also, we haven’t even had a banquet yet, so it’s not official, just a sham marriage, a live-in situation. Why take it so seriously?"

Liszt’s blatant rudeness emerged, and he spread his arms, sitting back and lighting a cigarette.

Wasn’t it just for a measly one hundred and sixty Golden Dragons that he put up with your crazy antics in the first place?

His speech somewhat depressed the worldly-wise Dreya, but then again, coming from a pile of scum, what else could be expected? No morality or sense of responsibility—just a pure scumbag.

"Oh."

Dreya opted for playing dead and giving him the cold shoulder, with the windows and doors already barred. She continued reading a popular novel titled "Adventurer Ragna’s Observations."

She had no interest in obscure, elitist literature, preferring works as warm and generous as the sun, accessible and profoundly influential to everyone; that’s what truly great art was.

Liszt twitched his eyelids; this woman was indeed tough to deal with, playing the soft prison game.

He was unsure whether to deal with her harshly and leave first or keep confronting her if it was the former, the trouble would just drag on.

This woman looked serious, but she was sheer madness privately. According to Old Wei, the staple at Black Sail Inn, it had started with her coming around every three days, and then it escalated to every day.

Before he returned, she was making multiple trips a day.

Extremely sinister, even having people watch—it was terrifying. He was still holding it together now, maintaining appearances, but who knew when he’d crack.

Liszt was ready to intensify things, planning to convince the female vampire to divorce within three sentences.

"Since we’re old acquaintances, I’ll still come to see you, why worry? The old love is still there; we can hang out and bump into each other when we have time. Don’t you understand good separations?"

Liszt leant back, using his manipulative tactics.

Dreya was unimpressed, sticking to the old three: divorce, do our separate things, the old love remains, nothing new.

She opened the money pouch on the table with a cold face, counted half the amount, chuckled, and finally put down the book.

She, too, began to intensify her approach.

"I’m just a weak woman, a widow with no husband could not survive. You wouldn’t want others to know—the infamous Black Sail Captain growing his play bigger, daring to even transport dragons."

Dreya was an extremely powerful vampire, so astute and cautious that she had survived until now, possessing a terrifying sensing power over life energy. She could detect that overwhelming strength even from a great distance without stepping outside.

"Are you threatening me? How did you know?"

Liszt was the first to lose his composure. He grabbed Dreya’s wrist, pulling her up from the sofa, and suddenly panic spread throughout his mind. Damn it, if his identity were exposed, he’d be hung at Heaven Port—those people would definitely start looting immediately. The Boss at Heaven Port was an ultimate tough guy; could there have been a leak? No...

The yanked-up Dreya wasn’t angry; instead, she smiled radiantly, her captivating green eyes full of mischief and control.

To disgust Dreya, knowing she had a mania for cleanliness, Liszt had come straight to her from the ship without taking a bath at the inn.

"Look how scared my pirate leader is." Unexpectedly, Dreya didn’t mind at all. Why would her own husband mind, right? Her slender, fair fingers wiped the sweat from Liszt’s forehead, "I’m just a bit special, sensitive to all kinds of scents and energy fluctuations. Don’t worry, as long as the nerd on your ship doesn’t figure it out, no one else will either. Alright, alright, don’t be scared."

Seeing Liszt’s sullen face and his silence, Dreya easily broke free from his grasp.

"I am utterly loyal to you. If any temptress seduces you, I’d be loath to kill you. Your little lover... she can only be dealt with harshly by my own hands."

Dreya spread her fingers, idly filing her nails with a nail file.

The body is the shrine that houses the soul. Dreya had maintained her appearance from when she was twenty-four, her mentality always aligned with her body, continually chasing after new things. Her youth never faded; she was always radiant.

Liszt also became fierce.

He knew he couldn’t shake off this mad woman, but he only acknowledged the civil affairs office, not the ways of the Western Continent. However, once he had gathered the Junlin Sword, even if he were to establish a harem, how should His Excellency handle it?

"You truly are something..."

Liszt placed his thumb near Dreya’s lips, gently wiping them.

Even though Dreya was extremely germophobic, after three months of thirst, she found it hard to resist. She opened her red lips, and her vampire fangs became visible.

She bit into Liszt’s finger, sucking the blood.

The two had lost count of how many times they had done this in the mansion and even in the wild woods outside—everything wild was imaginable.

But Liszt decided to go all out, to be the wildest.

Dreya knew his secret; he had to make sure she was dealt with thoroughly.

He whispered into Dreya’s ear.

"Since you’re utterly loyal to me, I guess I’ll have to spend my life with you, only you."

He even said it in an almost coercive tone.

Even Dreya, who hadn’t heard such viciously romantic words before, felt her typically icy face blush a shade.

Emperor Li and Emperor Dreya PUA-ed each other to the edge of the universe, erasing the great path.

Then.

Liszt unbuttoned his white shirt, using a knife to draw a fine line across his chest, blood uniformly seeping out.

Things had gone too far to turn back.

Three virgin blood slaves had already boiled the water.

From the study to the bathroom, then throughout the estate.

Until the very end of degradation and the abyss of madness.
