Chapter 318: CCCXVIII. Turbulent Weather

Iron Soul Island.

Departure Coast.

The combined ages of all the Black Sail’s core members didn’t add up to Garscek’s; how could Liszt, with just a few words and a temptation of something he didn’t carry on him, convince her?

She had already left with all the treasures from the underground palace, claiming she was going to adapt to the outside world by first touring the inland.

Whoever partnered with Garscek won.

But Garscek would partner with whoever won.

The East Sea was now a winner-takes-all game, standing with the remaining side meant no risks and the greatest benefits.

When the dust settled, she would return to the East Sea.

Whether she would be promoted alongside Doringger.

Or traverse the Four Seas with Liszt.

That remained to be seen.

By the coast.

Liszt emerged from the underground palace and did another round of exploration, but still no sign of the gold mine. By the time he returned to the coast, it was already January 28th.

He stared blankly at the big fleet by the sea, his gaze somewhat uncertain and bewildered. To be honest, he was a bit afraid to return, to go back to Heaven Port.

He didn’t know what kind of ending awaited him in Heaven Port, where Doringger, aspiring to become the East Sea Governor, would pick the right moment to kill the greatest bane of the East Sea.

And he was that bane, and the time was gradually ripening.

Once he returned to port, it was very likely that war would erupt.

Looking at the fleet, the magnificent sight of a dozen ships, he felt utterly weak. Even though he had outmaneuvered Doringger at the dinner, that was, after all, the man who overpowered the East Sea.

Whether he would be hanged at the gallows or become the East Sea Sovereign was about to be revealed.

And Liszt had acquired a new title, Iron Soul Island Guardian.

In the eyes of the Gold Seekers on the island, it was Liszt who had entered the underground palace and driven away the dragon.

Even though it was at night.

Still, many Gold Seekers saw the commotion, a gigantic black dragon sweeping through the sky, leaving the island.

Now.

Liszt had become even more legendary than Doringger.

Celeste leaned against a tree, and with her keen observational skills, she noticed the feigned calmness of this man, whose heart was tumultuously seething inside.

He now completely regarded himself as a trustworthy person; Demon, Dragon, Stele, Celeste – all were in the know, and what remained was to return to Heaven Port to verify everything one by one.

"You’re not yourself, frightened?" Celeste teased.

At the camp by the coast, lunch was being prepared. After so much time building, the trees were being cut deeper, more cabins were erected, and this Bay Shore had already taken on the size of a small town.

After lunch, it would be time to set out back to Heaven Port.

"Frightened..."

Liszt replied noncommittally, the axe scars flanking his nose throbbed faintly; he simply hoped his end would be worthy of his life on the run.

No, it didn’t matter how his own end turned out, as long as he could resolve the matter from seven years ago, any price would be worth it.

"Don’t give me that scary look, alright? It’s just death. Your brothers will die with you."

Shadi was speechless, calling Liszt and Celeste to eat, keeping his little life hanging by a thread was the priority.

"I’m not joining."

Mika refused, having not yet met his goal quota. According to his judgment as a doctor, his parts still had a life expectancy of over twenty years. With the aid of medicine, not to mention ten thousand times, he could last for 8,848.

Ten minutes later.

A chef had arrived at the coastal camp, purchasing some common beast meat brought back from the woods by the Gold Seekers, stewing it with wild vegetables, and seasoning it.

Lunch was quite sumptuous.

The Gold Seekers on the island didn’t know that all the wealth was in the Central Temple, they still tirelessly explored, beyond the temple, other regions also had a lot of space for exploration.

This island was very large, with veins of valuable minerals undiscovered by previous civilizations, or perhaps other things.

It wasn’t just gold that was valuable. If someone could find some Magic Energy Veins, that would be a real fortune, worth even more than gold.

Only fearing that Emperor, the old man, would smell the scent and come.

"Little sister, big brother here isn’t cultured, doesn’t like to talk but... big brother loves you."

Even across races, Rein felt Celeste was too hot to handle, how could there be such a beauty?

Celeste seemed to ignore it, concerned about Liszt’s mental state; although not exactly guilty, she did feel a bit sorry. In the underground palace, Liszt had protected her once. She owed Liszt a favor.

The mission was still of the utmost importance. She would take the most important thing from Liszt, as a bit of compensation for him.

"Come on, open your mouth."

Celeste scooped up a spoonful of meaty soup, ready to feed Liszt personally.

Mika nearly spewed blood, in the underground palace, Liszt must have drugged him again, so despicable! He wanted to sue Liszt for honeytrap in court!

"Nah nah, you who embrace light and hold faces so fleet, really a cold person. Sorry to have shown you unpleasant things. A person like me should just disappear, perhaps only in a two-dimensional world does true beauty exist."

Rein’s tone was sarcastic, completely losing his mind, he started chanting scriptures, then patted his head, "This is called dribbling with one hand, I’m the two-dimensional Rein brother, even Tai Shen doesn’t dare to drink soup, but you Liszt, dare to drink, you’re even more awesome than Tai Shen."

"Chao!"

Shadi couldn’t take it anymore, they were all comrades, and it was fine to joke around, but Rein had evolved into complete madness, unbearable, "If I knew earlier, I wouldn’t have bought you a phone or downloaded that crappy Genshin Impact."

"Alas, everything has to be connected to Genshin Impact. You weren’t called or provoked, you didn’t do any massive harm, so what’s with the constant irrational bashing? Michayou works hard every day to promote and honor Eastern culture with cultural output. You trolls only know how to defame a conscience company by keyboard. The future of Eastern games will be ruined by people like you."

Rein was totally off in the stratosphere.

Liszt really wasn’t in the mood for soup; this was no ordinary rabies. He hadn’t been turned into minced meat by Doringger, but these people would drive him crazy first.

Consumed with rage, Liszt coughed violently for a while before stopping.

Then he bucked up and quickly polished off the meat soup in his bowl.

"Now is not the time for this," Liszt hated the lack of communication; he didn’t know how the missions were going in other regions. Once he dominated the East Sea, he had to set up a wireless network, "Today is the 28th. We’ll be back in Heaven Port around February 5th. I’ve already become the East Sea’s biggest pirate, and Doringger is coming to kill me. To be honest, up to this point, I don’t know how many tricks he has up his sleeve. We can only adapt to as we fight when the war breaks out. Based on strength, we need not only courage but also strategy. I’m just giving you a heads up..."

Liszt had already written his will, being Doringger’s thorn in the side, he was naturally the first target.

Black Sail was initiated by him. If he died, Black Sail might last for a while, but would most likely fall apart completely afterwards. He didn’t rule out the possibility that Fen and others could turn things around.

The will contained Liszt’s experiences from the first three years. If he died, it would be up to these people to continue.

"Alright, it’s time to return, back to Heaven Port."
