Chapter 217: CCXVII. The Real Chaotic Scene
In the castle within the dense woods on the outskirts.
Mo Yutong prepared another dish for Dreya, as she found herself with an appetite after a long while.
"Are you and Liszt from the same place?" Dreya couldn’t help but ask.
During the early days of their marriage, Liszt would also cook for her, but the novelty had long worn off.
She could easily distinguish this style of cooking, mainly based on frying and stir-frying, which was relatively rare.
It wasn’t that the taste was particularly good, but rather that she missed it.
The culinary standards of the Western Continent were high, and the cooking methods were fully developed with various seasonings introduced. Liszt couldn’t just rely on mysterious Eastern powers to become a master chef, recruit the Twin Group’s Goria and Kikyo, and make acquaintances with a bunch of gourmet magnates to then dominate the world, although he wished he could.
Archer’s skills, within the context of Earth, would easily set him apart; it required a vast reserve of knowledge.
"Why would you say that?" Mo Yutong had calmed down after the initial excitement and returned to her normal state, undoing her apron.
Since Goria and Meredith were to meet again, they would definitely need some private time for confidences; they had already left the castle.
Dreya could understand that as long as they were here to join this family, not to tear it apart, she welcomed them.
Right, they must be sweet-smelling beauties.
"Only you two cook this style of cuisine, with identical pairings, but you use lighter seasoning." Dreya commented.
"I see, but what I’m best at is actually stir-fried cabbage," Mo Yutong said ambiguously, a blush spreading across her face.
But Dreya couldn’t comprehend what ’stir-fried cabbage’ meant; it was an insider term from Earth.
She never liked being the passive one.
"You keep cooking, let me feed you, and later I’ll have the maid wash up and prepare the hot water."
She sat at the table, spooning food into Mo Yutong’s mouth.
Mo Yutong didn’t care if Dreya was Liszt’s wife; bringing herself to such a remote place warranted some compensation on his part, and she relished the convenience of being waited on.
Over the past ten years, she had not considered these matters, her circumstances had been too harsh, and around here, keeping a contact list was treated like heresy.
Although cold as ice to men, girls, sweet-smelling as they are, seemed to be always better; more was better, with each person being everyone else’s harem.
Mo Yutong quite enjoyed the atmosphere, if only Liszt wasn’t so bothersome; everything else was fine.
"You and he, you both aren’t from this world, are you?" Dreya asked directly, her long life having exposed her to every kind of blood, but these two were especially peculiar.
Mo Yutong was a classic case of virgin sweetness and richness, with a flavor she had never encountered before.
And Liszt...
It was too strange, hardly palatable, like some spicy, choking strong liquor, yet intoxicating and satisfying.
"What a strange question," Mo Yutong chuckled evasively; she didn’t know how to respond, whether to overstep, considering it was said they had been married for years, and Liszt hadn’t told her.
Their relationship didn’t seem like a normal marriage; it was somewhat advanced.
Dreya wouldn’t let Mo Yutong off easily; she intended to uncover everything about Liszt’s background.
Liszt wouldn’t share anything with her; everything from Londen City, to hijacking trains, she learned from Rein, the loudmouth. He thought she was just a woman, incapable of assisting, unaware of her own strength.
Or perhaps he never intended for her to help; what pitiful male chauvinism, suffering while stubbornly maintaining his pride.
Dreya’s hand, feeding Mo Yutong, paused.
"Lying is what bad children do, good children get rewards."
"Rewards?"
"Mm... the bathtub is pretty big."
Hearing this, Mo Yutong lost her rationality.
It was less than an hour away from midnight, but the New Year celebrations were in full swing, and the nightlife was just beginning.
Goria strolled along the streets of Heaven Port with Meredith, holding hands. As two Heroic Level adventurers, even without weapons, just bare fists were enough for them to handle the pirates on the island.
Meredith asked about every detail.
Goria spared no details and told everything: whether it was about escort missions, the Stele, or the little girl in front of them.
Fafna was now completely left to her own devices.
Carrying a Special Large Sword weighing over 300 pounds, who would dare to provoke her? At a tavern in the outer city, she became famous in an arm-wrestling competition with a prize of one hundred silver coins.
A nearly three-meter tall Beastman, a super-strongman, could lift up an object of half a ton and throw it more than ten meters away.
Though he wasn’t comparable to the giant brought by Secret Port Marcus, it was terrifying enough.
Everyone thought Fafna was joking, wondering why a grown-up would join the competition.
Turns out, after being nurtured for a while, the well-nourished Fafna defeated everyone effortlessly.
She thus became a notable figure.
The Queen of Heaven Port, a street thug; rumors said she was Liszt’s illegitimate daughter.
Now, Liszt’s influence was so strong, even the established Skull Club, Twin Group, and other old Pirate Gangs didn’t dare to make a sound, let alone the three overlords and Boss who didn’t come to exert pressure, giving rise to misunderstandings and rumors.
Adventurers who had just arrived here due to rumors about the New Continent heard more and more outrageous tales.
Some said Liszt had four arms, others said he could go without sleep for seven days, and the most absurd was that he could summon sea monsters; he was not human at all.
"What’s next?"
Meredith wasn’t too enthralled by the festive atmosphere.
"Let’s find Uncle Fish Seller Fei and Uncle Mad Tiger!"
Fafna made a decision.
"Who?"
Meredith looked puzzled, probably some kind of nickname, just the names didn’t sound like they belonged to good people.
"Liszt has more than just one ship, he also has some businesses in Heaven Port managed by these two," Goria thought for a while then realized, "Faf, Na!"
Fafna shuddered when her full name was called out, trembling slightly.
Goria sighed, "The rebellious phase has arrived so soon, has it?"
"I told you not to go there. If I hear you’re playing with them again, I’m going to ignore you," Goria said sternly.
The core crew on the ship was okay, the quality wasn’t great, but passable. However, Liszt’s other subordinates, especially that Mad Tiger, who used a skull as his bowl, could his mind be normal?
"I’m sorry..."
Fafna apologized weakly, looking very pitiful.
Seeing such a cute little dragon girl, Goria couldn’t bring herself to be angry.
However, what she didn’t expect was stumbling upon a chaotic scene by mistake.
"Let go!"
Tani tried to break free from Liszt’s hold, unwilling to listen to any explanations.
"You didn’t send me letters either, I thought you’d found someone new, Aran has plenty of talented people."
"It’s all because of you, you never replied to my letters, I thought you were dead, and it’s the same now, just leave me alone."
"I can let go, but I’ll have to send you back or call your childhood friend to come. I can’t rest easy seeing you like this."
"Stop pretending!"
They argued vehemently.
A twitch in Goria’s eyelid; this cavemen was still trying to conquer her on the ship, being handsy even in the hotel.
Meredith was also greatly shocked.
Liszt and Sharon had been fighting while she was on the ground floor, feeling the disturbances.
What capabilities did this scar-faced man really have?
