Chapter 115: Chapter 110: Law of the Superior! (Third Update)
Tong Aini huffed angrily, "The same old story! Telling us to keep our distance. I wonder whose big mouth spilled the beans about me staying at the hotel to Dad."
Tong Airui furrowed his brows slightly, "I’m puzzled too! Dad seems to know my every move here. Looks like someone close to me might’ve been bought off by him."
You Jia shook her head in disapproval, "The people around you are all personally handpicked by you! They wouldn’t report this kind of thing back to Uncle Che."
"Let’s analyze this carefully. Whoever it is must be someone very close to us; otherwise, they wouldn’t even know that I was on my period. Luckily, that gave me an excuse this time; otherwise, Dad would’ve chewed You Jia out completely." Tong Aini angrily pulled You Jia to sit down next to her.
"Yuan Hang has the biggest mouth..." Tong Airui rubbed his forehead. "Could it have been him?"
Tong Aini shook her head, "Yuan Hang has been with you for so many years. He knows what to say and what not to say."
"Could it have been Dr. Mai?" Yi Luowa, sitting to the side, chimed in, "Because as of this morning, only he knew about it."
Tong Airui looked at her, "Now that you mention it, it really might be him."
"Why would Old Seven casually tell Dad these things?" Tong Aini looked at her brother suspiciously.
"Who knows!" Tong Airui raised an eyebrow slightly, "But if it really was him, just watch—I’ll skin him alive!"
Yi Luowa tugged on his arm, "I let it slip about Dr. Mai without thinking. Don’t go too hard on him, or I’ll feel guilty."
"I’m not really going to hurt him," Tong Airui said with a smile, tapping her nose lightly.
"Brother, Aini, Uncle and Old Seven are here," Tong Aino called from outside the door.
"Speak of the devil," Tong Airui smirked and pulled Yi Luowa by the hand. "Let’s go."
Yi Luowa worried that he might really take it out on Maizekai and followed him closely out the door.
Tong Aini glanced at You Jia, who shook her head helplessly. "Look at them—barely know each other a few days, and they’re bold enough to walk hand in hand. We’ve known each other since we were kids, and we still don’t dare hold hands in front of your family."
Tong Aini rolled her eyes at him and took his hand. "What’s the big deal about holding hands?! Come on, let’s go deal with Old Seven."
You Jia looked at their tightly clasped hands and sighed, "If we go out like this, your brothers and cousins are going to gang up on me again!"
"Scared? If you’re scared, maybe you should go back to your poetic musings!" Tong Aini snorted and tried to pull her hand away.
You Jia chuckled and held on tightly, "If you’re not afraid, then neither am I!"
"So it’s okay for them to run wild, but we’re not even allowed a candle in the night? My dad’s tone was noticeably softer today, and my mom’s reaction shows she’s starting to loosen up. As for my grandpa, I’ll work on my grandma. We’re not backing down anymore!" Tong Aini puffed her cheeks, "If you have second thoughts, now’s your last chance."
You Jia pulled Aini into his arms tightly. "Aini, I’m so happy you made this decision. I’ve been holding back all this time because I was afraid of putting you in a tough spot. Now that you’ve decided, even if your dad and brothers beat me to a pulp, I’ll never let go of your hand."
"They won’t actually kill you, at most they’ll gang up to bully you."
"I’m not scared!" You Jia broke into a bright smile. As long as Aini was standing with him, there was nothing to fear.
Tong Aini smiled, "Let’s go!"
"Alright!"
The two held hands tightly and quickly walked out of the bedroom.
When Shiqing came upstairs, everyone else was in the large room "interrogating" Maizekai.
Shiqing took a look, then turned and headed to the next room.
"Take off his socks!" Tong Airui stood to the side, commanding.
Mi Chenxuan had Maizekai’s socks off in no time, holding them up and exclaiming, "Holy crap! How long has it been since you washed your feet? These stink like hell!"
Lance, seeing that they were serious, took Maizekai’s glasses off. "Old Seven, just listen to your brother. Answer their questions so you don’t have to suffer."
"Uncle, save me!" Maizekai, pinned down on the bed by Mi Chenshuo and Tong Aino, couldn’t move and looked at Tong Yehua pitifully.
Tong Yehua smiled, "I think you should just spill. There’s no way the two of us can take on all of them."
Tong Airui nudged Mi Chenxuan with his chin, "Bring out the family punishment!"
Mi Chenxuan lay on the bed, reached under it, and pulled out a feather duster, grinning mischievously as he waved it in front of Maizekai’s face.
"I’ll ask you one more time: were you the one who spilled to Dad about our stuff?"
Maizekai clamped his eyes shut and stayed silent.
Mi Chenxuan started tickling the soles of Maizekai’s feet with the feather duster.
"Hahaha..." Maizekai squirmed, unable to hold back his laughter.
Yi Luowa looked on, concerned, and tried to persuade him, "Dr. Mai, maybe you should just tell them. Say it, and they’ll stop tormenting you."
"Haha..." Tears of laughter soon rolled down Maizekai’s face.
"Spit it out! Or we’ll take it up a notch!" Tong Airui said with a grin, patting his cheek lightly.
"I-I didn’t mean to... hahaha..." Maizekai was laughing so hard he could barely speak.
