Chapter 75: Chapter 75 Bold Humans, You are Presumptuous
Jun Moyan lifted his eyes to glance at him, then turned his attention to the red wine in front of him.
At his side, Ji Hongyan watched the development of the situation, barely able to conceal her excitement, her hands with red-painted nails subconsciously grabbing onto her skirt.
The corner of her eye kept a vigilant lock on Jun Moyan next to her, just waiting for him to drink.
"Meow~"
Wen Xiao’ai called out to Jun Moyan, her voice not very loud, but loud enough for everyone present to hear.
Jun Moyan looked at the somewhat anxious Wen Xiao’ai, thinking of how this little creature despised drunkards.
"Your elder brother is toasting you," Madam Jun said with an authoritative tone.
"Moyan is injured," Grandfather Jun immediately came out in defense.
"He looks quite healthy to me, and it’s just one glass of wine. What could possibly go wrong?"
Wen Xiao’ai turned her head and glared fiercely at Madam Jun.
This old lady, just as bad as that Miss Ji and Jun Wuyang, had actually colluded to set up Jun Moyan.
And Jun Moyan still called her grandmother.
This Jun Moyan too, the family he’s stuck with, what kinds of people are they?
Each one harboring malice, yet still able to sit together and eat, truly unbelievable.
The way humans interact is really odd indeed.
"Health comes first, so let’s just substitute with juice," suggested Jun Wuchen, turning to the maid beside him: "Pour a glass of juice for the third young master."
"Yes."
"No need, I’m not that delicate."
Not wanting Grandfather Jun and Jun Wuchen to have a falling out with Madam Jun on his account, Jun Moyan reached out for the wine glass in front of him.
Ji Hongyan’s eyes blazed with fervor.
The corners of Jun Wuyang’s lips curled into a satisfied smirk.
"Brother, your toast first," he declared.
He then shook his head and drained the glass, inverting it afterward to show he had finished.
"Meow!" Wen Xiao’ai was too impatient to waste words on various reminders.
She made a light leap from the armrest of the wheelchair to jump onto the table, and before anyone could react, she swiftly darted in front of Jun Moyan.
Just as he lifted his glass, she knocked the red wine flying.
The flying glass sent red wine spilling onto Ji Hongyan at the neighboring table, drenched in self-satisfied delight, snapping her out of her reveries.
The glass also fell to the ground and shattered on impact.
"Meow." Wen Xiao’ai stood on the table and called out to Jun Moyan.
You can’t drink!
Jun Moyan’s brow furrowed slightly, not understanding Wen Xiao’ai’s sudden, extreme action.
"Stop it," Jun Moyan said sternly.
His tone carried no blame, rather, concern.
"Meow." Who’s causing trouble with you?
"Impudent!" Madam Jun slammed the table and stood up sharply.
Wen Xiao’ai turned her head, glaring intensely at the furious Madam Jun.
This look and meow had none of the cuteness of the coquettish charm she’d used scarcely fifteen minutes earlier.
"Meow!"
How dare you, human, you’re the one being presumptuous!
"Xiaoguai!"
Jun Moyan’s voice cooled, and he called out to Qing Yi guarding the entrance of the dining area: "Qing Yi, take it outside."
Qing Yi immediately came in.
"Meow meow!"
Wen Xiao’ai panicked, her little paw pointing at Ji Hongyan standing aside, incessantly wiping her skirt with a tissue.
Then she pointed at Jun Wuyang, seated at the head of the table, and finally patted the red wine spilled on the table with her paw.
One or two drops from the small pool of wine splashed onto Jun Moyan’s face as a result of Wen Xiao’ai’s pat.
Ji Hongyan, busy dealing with the stains on herself, felt a jolt in her heart seeing Wen Xiao’ai’s actions.
This cat... is it accusing her?
