Jun Wuyang, in a fit of anger, slammed the door behind him and left; he didn’t stay in the hospital any longer.

Having changed into a different set of clothes, Jun Wuyang wore a black mask as he exited the inpatient department.

Although his itchiness had stopped an hour ago, the bloody and fuzzy marks from his previous scratching were still there.

He really wasn’t in any state to meet people now.

Jun Wuyang walked through the corridors of the inpatient department and had just reached the hospital lobby when he saw an ambulance parked at the entrance.

A few doctors and nurses were hurrying a patient down from the ambulance and into the hospital.

A young man was also following by their side, helping transport the patient inside.

Jun Wuyang glanced over indifferently and withdrew his gaze, not paying much attention. He was about to continue on his way when he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

Jun Wuyang turned to look again at the person being wheeled on the gurney by the nurses, rushing towards the operating room.

However, those people had already turned the corner with the gurney and were out of sight.

Without thinking, Jun Wuyang immediately followed them.

Just before Wen Xiao’ai was pushed into the operating room, Jun Wuyang finally saw her clearly.

It indeed was Wen Xiao’ai.

What has she gotten herself into?

Jun Wuyang turned to the unfamiliar young man who had brought Wen Xiao’ai to the hospital and asked, "What’s your relationship with the person inside? What happened to her?"

The young man looked at Jun Wuyang, saw he was wearing a mask, and rather than answering right away, he countered, "Who are you? Do you know that girl inside?"

"Of course, I know her. What happened to her? How did she end up being taken to the hospital?"

After sizing up Jun Wuyang with a skeptical look, the man asked, "Then what’s her name, how old is she, where does she live, and what’s your relationship to her?"

"Her name is Wen Xiao’ai, she’s twenty, she lives at ××××, and I’m her friend," Jun Wuyang bluffed.

Because of the mask, the man didn’t notice anything amiss. Seeing Jun Wuyang’s smooth response, he said, "I went out fishing tonight, and the navigation led me into a forest. I heard some noise in the woods, went to check out of curiosity, and then I found this girl lying on the ground. I didn’t think too much about it at the time and just called 120 (emergency services)."

In truth, it wasn’t the navigation that had deceived him, but the lingering soul of the young man who, concerned for Wen Xiao’ai’s safety because she wasn’t waking up, had led the fisherman to the forest.

Because the young man was so worried about Wen Xiao’ai and was too naive, he hadn’t considered whether the person he found might be malicious.

Fortunately, the man was indeed kind-hearted and ended up saving Wen Xiao’ai.
